Great seeing you bond with your father. I'm also restoring bikes with my dad, enjoy it while it lasts!! Fun video as always. Looking forward to the next one allready!
G’day mate This one was was fun to make. Good to have dad in a video at last. May I ask what bike you’re restoring with your dad? Next video- engine rebuild. I’ve spent the last 6 months finding nonexistent parts! Thanks for watching, as always. Cheers Tom🤝
@@tomdidit4216 we recently did a nut and bolt restoration on my dads RD500. Here's a video ua-cam.com/video/4AMOKyAPyR8/v-deo.html Part 2 is also on that channel. I just finished a rebuild on my Aprilia RS125. Next bike in line will be my RS250. Its waiting for a year allready🤣 Its allways a hasstle finding parts for older bikes. We have the same problem🤣
Biconnecc Hello again. Thanks for continuing to watch🤝 It seems you have jumped a few step with motorcycling. Yam R1 is a rocket ship that commands respect! Probably too much bike for me😎 Cheers Tom
@@tomdidit4216 I got it at a discount because it was crashed with chinese fairings. It was a great opportunity to work on bigger bikes and learn to paint! I made it from faded old red to a very shiny gloss black using filler / primer / paint and clear coat saving me so much money taking them to a professional. Also painted the frame and subframe to remove old scratches and made it factory new! Took a lot of patience but the results were amazing like your frame! If you wanna check some pics out let me know bro! Hope to see more from you soon :)
Greetings Tom. Finally! What I have learned from this so far is...Listen to your Parents! 😂. Yes, for best results painting should be done in climate controlled conditions. I can see how much humidy you have cought in that bucket... Some observations, if I may. Stuck bolts: I highly recommend penetrating oil CRC 5.56, I find that it penetrates much better than WD40, especially if left to work it's magic over 24hrs. Then again, there are stuck bolts that just will not cooperate... Easy-Outs: always use the largest size that you can. When inserting it, give it a good whack with a hammer to ensure that it "bites in" and use a tap handle to provide vertical pressure and lateral control so you don't snap it. Finally, I have two questions: -How much weight did you loose, through sweating, whilst wearing the Sperm Suit? -What year is that Royal Enfield? Overall, you have achieved the next level on the Tinkering Scale. Keep up the good work and may the Gods of Restorations bless you with further and ongoing success... Start making sacrifices to the Gods of Electricity and Electrical Components. Very soon, you will need them on your side,😁
Hey Paul Thanks for tuning in. Painting in a suit, in 35 degrees is thirsty work. No weight was lost, thanks to modern medicine 🍺🍺🍺🍺 Next video is the engine rebuild. As y of h know, I’ve spent the last 6 months gather parts from far and wide. Hopefully I haven’t “missed a bit” Cheers Mate
Nice work i was thinking to buy same 125cc as you but didnt't find any so i bought NSR125 and it's still vers fun... continue your tutoriel it helped à lot
Hi Tom I’ve got a Aprilia rs125 it’s had lots of work on the engine it’s got a 140 kit on and had it on a dyno run and I’m premix 40:1 ratio it’s about 200ml of oil it’s really smoky when I open the throttle I’m running 175 main jet do you think I can go 155 jet so it’s not so smoky or will it do any damage to the engine many thanks
Finally you are back in business Love your videos!!! Best regards from Germany 🇩🇪

Здорова. В чем была необходимость дышать химией при снятии краски собственноручно, пескоструйная обработка у Вас не практикуется?
Next frame will be sand blasted. Too much hard work doing it my way.
Я на своем CRM раму отдал в пескоструй и порошковую покраску. Nоже скоро на канале буду серии выкладывать...
