Jim you are dope, show us the low cable so cool
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
I just made a video of how 2 or the systems your using can make a cable crossover system. Thanks for posting this. You were one of the people that inspired me
Awesome! I will check it out!
Sorry, I got busy, but I just subscribed! Cheers!
Great video, you don`t even need 2 separate loading pins for the cable crossover, you can just attach the cables to one?? Would it not be even more stable?
Good point! Yep. The only thing I can see as a downside is if you used each arm indepenedently (like a normal X-country skiing motion.)
But good call!
Very nice - I knew there was a way
Thanks
Isn't it cheaper to buy the kit Titan sells? I think the full 3 pulley kit is about $90 all in.
I looked at titan. the only thing I don't like is I don't think the pulleys swivel.
But no, what I did is something you can do fro about $30. But I certainly would gladly pay the $90 if it meant I got something I thought was functional.
The other thing is, the standard length cables are sort of a pain.
But making your own cables is also a pain. Haha!
I don't recommend the titan system, but I would recommend the Archon system, though.
Just my two cents. Cheers!
Jim in the Gym makes sense thanks for the reply 👍🏻
@@DanielGrows any time, man. thanks for checking out the video!
Can you pls share where I can purchase those parts online?
there are amazon links in the description.
Thanks u gave me ideas
No problem. Look at the archon system, though.
Very good 💪👍
I used coated cable and the coating started to come off.
dude nice
Thanks man!
What lat pull bar did you buy? Thanks for your videos.
It's just a cheap one I got from a rack I got at a big box store.
Your awesome keep up the great videos!!
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
What kind of carabiners did you use
I bought tons of different ones, but mostly I use the ones that came from Titan.
Do you have measurements for the 2 cables
just short of 6'.
Do you know if the Titan shackles will fit a Rogue RML3?
I honestly can't be sure of that. Have never tried one.
@@JimintheGym OK. Thanks.
What racks do you have there?
@@brainchilddesigner these are titan t-3 racks
@@JimintheGym Got ya.
Thanks Jim. Your posts are very insightful. Keep up the good work.
@@brainchilddesigner Thanks for the encouragement! Happy lifting!
How long have you been working out?
Thank you! Can you use cable from home depot?
Yes, that's the same stuff.
I used coated cable and the coating started to come off.
Can you make up a belt squat with the cables?
I suppose there's a way, but you'd have to be really creative. I am inclined to say maybe that's not a great application, here. The weight sort of comes straight up from the floor and you have to be able to lean forward to complete the motion. So, I'm thinking maybe no? But maybe I just don't have enough imagination to figure that out.
You know you can just use an eye bolt you don't need the shackles
Use a 2.5 plate as a spacer, that way you can easily grab the plates.
Great idea! But these 25 pound grip plates are cheap. Less than $20, each. I'm getting a stack of the 25s and a few 45s. I've been wanting grip plates for a while.
Where do you get the shackles? And can you do a video on that ....coming from the bottom ..Thank you!
The shackles are from Titan. That was mentioned in the video.
@@JS-lr8nj Sorry I didn't hear that.. Thanks for the video..
Would this work on a folding squat rack?!
As long as it can support the weight.
Did it work for your folding squat rack ?
Cool, Jim! 👍👍
Is it easy to adjust the pulley height, so that it can be used for exercises like shoulder raises and bicep curls?
Yeah, you can adjust the height to any height. a few of my other videos go over ways to do this.

Jim in the Gym Thank you, you have some creative set ups.
@@the_notorious_bas Thanks cheers!
Doing something similar. Could you share where you found that loading pin?
Both Titan and rogue sell loading pins. I recommend rogue
I’m going to be doing a similar set up! I’m getting 3 Rogue shackles (2 mounted the way you have it) and a third will be attached on the bottom bar for low cable work! Will see if my Tractor Supply has those pulleys!
Thanks brother for the informative vid!
No problem. Glad you found it helpful. Personally, other than something REALLY expensive, where you can slide the pulley up and down and adjust instantly, I think this setup is as good as it gets. (The other setup, where you slide up and down on a purpose-built machine, is just too expensive for most home gym folks.) IIRC the Rogue shackles aren't that badlly priced, either.
Best of luck!
Just wondering do you know if the rogue infinity shackles will work with a titan t3 rack?
I will stick with Barbell workouts. Cool idea but keeping it basic works for me.
Yeah, can't beat barbells. You gotta find something that works for you and then stick with it. Hope your workouts are going great!
Is there any way I can setup a cable crossover with just one rack?
I think it would be hard to do because your arms will stretch out wider than one rack. There are other things you could do, though. You could have a rack on one end of a room and a chinup bar on the other end. Use dual Archon pulley systems. The make wall mounted cable systems that aren't too expensive.
But a rack is only like 4 feet wide. Most people have a much bigger wingspan than that. Even the setup I have is pretty much only JUST wide enough for a cable cross.
Just buy a used universal gym, should be able to get one cheap.
you have 2 power racks in your home?
Yep. I wanted a cable cross and Titan racks are so cheap, adding a 2nd rack was way cheaper than any cable cross.
It's a little cramped, but takes up less room than 1 rack PLUS a cable cross.
I have two also, can’t have a gym with only one rack buddy haha
@@92yankee52 Hahaha! I like the way you think!
