I am back home in New Jersey for the first time in 3 months and I am stopping by my bike shop to check on everything and say hi to my friends! Also Brooklyn finally got his very rare, very light and very expensive titanium BMX bike built up and the bike is amazing! He is building the lightest bike possible and I was shocked to see just how light he got it to! He wants to build the lightest BMX bike ever!

@@matthubbard904 yeah yeah, i knew they were expensive.. But that's some serious dedication to spend that much, 10 lbs is a lot on a bike. I used to ride an S&M, i wouldn't b surprised if it takes him a while to get used to that thing. It's gonna b like riding a feather. I bet it's gonna b so easy to spin n toss around.

@@mentho101 its the same as right hand drive just left all the internals in the hub are swapped and the sprocket is just put on the other crank

gees my beer cruiser weighs in the 30s plus i plan on an engine kit. will end up over 50 lbs and i have to carry it upstairs. i cant afford no titanium frame. think im cutting seat post n bars down. def checking out site. i may need beefier spokes or wheels.🍻

And here back in the mid 90's my Standard Lengthy weighed in at 38 ish pounds and I was happy with that. Also, hoppin onto picnic tables wasn't that big of a deal back then, if who ever reads this :)
Two bikes I got to pick up at The Winter Welcome Jam was a 18 year old 37lbs T-1 Barcode and then this bike. What a difference haha

Flatland riders been rockin presta tubes for a while now. We max our pressures out in our tires and the cheap quality tubes of today often blow at the valve base. Presta tubes steel valves tend to hold up much better. Flat riders have also been known to dip sub 20lbs on their bikes even with 4130 frames. To be fair tho, most flat frames are an inch or two shorter than most conventional bmx frames.
Personally I like a heavier bike. Feels less twitchy to me. That and having peace of mind my bike isn't going to blow apart cuz I'm not exactly light. My bike is around 27 and I'm pushing 300. lol

My singlespeed road bike is 11lb 6oz. It's mostly carbon with a bit of Ti and some scandium. I'm hoping that the new carbon crankset brings it to 11 dead. Wouldn't jump it off anything higher than a kerb though.
He could save some weight and add bling by changing the steel wrapped cable outers for Nokon.

I tried to do the same thing but on a $0 budget so me and my friend just got an old Walmart bike from the side of the road and kind of just best the top tube off with a hammer and it's still work perfect and now we're just going to take the bottom bath back Forks off

Looks awesome. The only thing I would change would be the seat. Just doesn't match the build. I bet one of those lightweight plastic seats would bring the weight down. You should try and see how much lighter a lightweight chain would be just for the final weigh in.

My friend had a maxxim race bmx that was lighter than that 30 yrs ago, however, it was a race bike, any missed tricks or cased jumps was instant taco on the rims or clean snapping the bottom tube at the head stem. Nothing compared to this master piece!

That's probably the lightest bike in BMX right now. Daniel Dhers had a recent bike check running the same frame but his was 18.2 or 18.6 pounds I believe. He was running aluminum pegs as well but thats still not a full pound. I guess the ti narps paid off.
I havnt rode bmx in years but if I dug it out of the garage and weighed it with the 14mm axles, 48 spoke triple walls and primo wall tires and 4 pegs and all I think it’s 41 lbs if I remember correctly haha
That bike is ridiculously light though still pretty sweet. But I'll still keep my 03' T1 Barcode which weighs like 36-37 lbs and I'm still running a KMC 415H chain as they are just indestructible and Primo Tenderizer pedals 😄.

If you want to step up this titanium insanity ona more level, Cane Creek makes Ee Wings titanium cranks. The primary use is for mountain bikes, but guess they would work with bmx too.
