    so been researching a new coffee machine and found the channel! I am a coffee fan, call it an addiction if you will, but I am now a huge fan of you and your reviews. I am SUBSCRIBED! You're refreshing and a joy to watch. Thank you.. I'll be back for more, keep em coming...

    I have the smaller Bonavita. After starting diabetes medication I couldn't drink coffee in the morning, I had the Keurig, I had the industrial KitchenAid but you have to make a full pot for it to taste good and then I found the Bonavita because of your reviews. Best cup of coffee I've ever had. Thank you for educating us on preinfusion , it makes a difference.

    I like your reviews. Really pleasant. Not over the top like some reviewers. Quite informative in plain terms. Plus I like your sense of humour.

    I like the system I have. I hand crank out 50g of wonderfully ground coffee, use a kettle at 205f/96c. Make 840g of brewed coffee. Throw that bad boy in a thermos: I have awesome, hot coffee 1/2 the day.

    I've learned so much more listening to you. Thank you very much. I just got a Cuisinart DCC-3200 and with a little effort pretty inexspensive. I upgraded from an ancient Krups from the 90's and my coffee is so much better.

    Thanks, Gail! SCG is the best. I love my Technivorm that I got from SCG a while back.

    Really want the precision brewer but its $400 in Australia and the only other filter machine available is $69 really no in between here - it's so weird here there's no variety of filter coffee machines at all! Expresso and capsule machines seem to rule the 'roast' - hope you like my pun :D

    a few months ago i upgraded from a electrical Moka pot because the coffee started to taste bitter.. I think it's my moka pot starting to misbehave and burning my coffee.. I upgraded to a MoccaMaster and i will never go back. .it's the best ever..
    No fuss no mess just perfect coffee every time.. i do weigh my coffe .. in a few weeks i will get the KM/DOS wall mounted grinder from MoccaMaster making live even more easier.. no measuring or thinking about the grounding of my beans.. (now i get pre ground coffe from a online shop.. but they told me that i would notice an increase in shelf life if i got roasted non grounded beans from them.. so will do that.. the upgrade to the KM/DOS is an expensive one .. it's like 95% of the moccamaster price.. that's just nuts.. ahh well such is life

    Gale I love your channel been watching you for years, I wanted to see if you can recommend a unit that will grind and brew as well as soak the grinds at a quality temperature and possibly press the grinds for extraction.

    I bought a Bonavita several years ago and it would not stop beeping,it was replaced under warranty.The second machine stopped working completely and was just barely out of warranty,Bonavita would not replace it and there was no factory service center at that time to send for repair.Bonavita failed to stand behind their poorly made product.Stay away from BONAVITA! After years of french pressing and stove top percolator I just purchased the OXO 8 cup form Amazon Prime Days and so far so good and it makes a darn good pot in 6 minutes.

    What if I'm just using some basic Cuisinart brewer that brews somewhat slowly w/ a shower head thing.... and I pour myself my morning cup as soon as it finishes brewing? Any benefit to spending $200 for the precision brewers?

      Last Cast Bass I wouldn't say picky, you probably have a more refined palate than I do. When people talk about the different nuances in different coffee's, I just sit there and think "it tastes like coffee" lmao

    • @trailbrake
      @trailbrake 6 років тому +3

      195° to 205° is the long-standing and proven best temperature range for brewing coffee. Why would you use three question marks to dramatically question this, it is a well excepted fact within the industry.

    • @jayvalentine2046
      @jayvalentine2046 6 років тому

      Kevin R 3 question Mark's because 204 degree water is hot enough to cause second degree burns

    • @Iceman-xe7jo
      @Iceman-xe7jo 6 років тому +3

      Jay Valentine it’s not 200 degrees by the time it lands in the pot, transferred to your cup and then drank. What she means is the heat of the water at that temp brings out the best flavor and aroma of the beans once brewed. It doesn’t stay at 200 degrees after it lands in the pot.

      Some people enjoy a higher quality product. Some people enjoy McDonald’s, others The French Laundry (and even others see the beauty in both). Life is short, choose wisely.
