This is Alex's first time watching Dragon ball Z & Kyle has not seen the BUU saga! Bryan & Elvin has the seen show and will be joining the journey with Alex to get his reaction!
Dragon Ball Z is about a man named Goku that lives on earth and finds out he came from a different planet and doesn't know how powerful he is until villains from other planets come along.

Also, yes, while Kid Buu did attempt to blow up the Kai Planet, it’s considerably larger than Namek, and is surprisingly durable, despite the ludicrous amount of damage that this fight inflicts upon it.

This Kid Buu fight, especially these filler scenes and all the mistranslated statements in the anime are the biggest logic test ever😂 Goku is saying stuff like ”you are twice as strong as before” yet he was fighting Kid Buu in SSJ2 only, while he refused to fight even *base* Super Buu without fusion ”because he would kill them”, let alone Buutenks / Buuhan who both absolutely required Fusion to have any kind of chance against lmao (don’t forget Goku was ready to fuse even with Mr Satan to fight Buuhan, rather than try alone)
But the logic test is not passed just yet😂 Kyle is already saying stuff like ”Kid Buu is a menace, and we thought Super Buu was crazy!” Even though Kid Buu was being slapped around by a ssj2, who is fodder compared to Gohan and SSJ3 Gotenks, who were required to do anything against base Super Buu, and neither were enough against Buutenks and Buuhan😂 it required VEGITO to fight Buuhan lol.
For context, this whole episode apart of the beginning is filler; in the manga, Goku goes straight to ssj3 and that whole ”twice as strong” line is not there. And neither is any other ”he is stronger than ever” line. Those lines were originally mentioning how *dangerous* Kid Buu is due to his unpredictable nature, which is true.
It’s funny because even though I saw this as a kid, I never got tricked by the mistranslations. I figured out immediately Kid Buu was much weaker when he was fighting Goku and Vegeta.
I knew there was no way SSJ2 Goku was stronger than Gohan and Gotenks.
Yeah, I hope they see this. However only guy has the chance to read the comments since the other ones don't want to get spoiled.
Yeah it's similar to how in the cell saga goku in the dub sounds way more confident in a fight between him and cell with alot of his diaoloue involving gohan be altered up until his fight with cell were it can kinda feel like it comes out of nowhere due to those changes.
@@ultimate9046 Atleast they did a better job with Kai. They never knew that DBZ would get so popular when they first dubbed it. They probably thought that only a few children would watch it until they get old.

Kid Buu is doing a trope of when a gorilla beats its chest. It’s supposed to be a sign of dominance.
I'm sure dominance is a part of it, but I think it's really just to show how primal and instinctual Kid Buu is, compared to prior forms.

That is twice as strong as Fat Buu. Goku hasn't fought against Super Buu in his normal form
While I love the original Dub they did make quite a few mistakes. Buuhan for example is the strongest incarnation of buu. Hopefully Alex is told this

Sorry, but. Daisenshuu already confirmed that Buuhan is the strongest iteration of Buu by far. Kid Buu is only the most DANGEROUS because he is effectively pure evil without any restraints or influences. This debate is tired and has already been addressed.

This fight never occurred in the manga. There's no way SSJ2 Goku can take Majin Buu

11:55 "Explain" no problem, even though its non-canon remember when broly was transforming in the first broly movie? His energy was so high it changed the energy in the atmosphere or something. Basically, my point is goku and kid buu are fighting on that level of power that Broly had (Galaxy level) and remember those movies took place in an alternate universe where although they were only super saiyans they were an amped up version of our heroes. Goku's super saiyan in that movie is probably equal to our main timeline Goku's super saiyan 2. Also goku saying kid buu is twice as strong a before is anime version only which means even though I said movie ssj Goku = canon ssj2 Goku that was BEFORE THE vegito stuff because if he really is THAT strong and Goku admitted they still couldn't beat super buu then somehow Goku and Vegeta got a fairly massive zenkai boost and are almost on vegito level BY THEMSELVES. Meaning Kid Buu > Buhhan in the anime but in the manga goku never says this so buuhan > kid buu in the manga aka REAL CANON
The dialogue makes it kind of confusing but canonically Kid Buu is the most dangerous and wild buu. But super buu gohan is the strongest.

Its been weeks so idk if yall gon read this but The Kai world is a Galaxy sized planet that exists outside the universe, thats why u heard the characters say it feels different, and how supreme kai said they were back in the mortal plain
Goku was comparing strength of Kid Buu to Fat Buu, not Super Buu. If it was to Super Buu, then Goku and Vegeta have zero chance of winning, unless they fuse.
Their power makes the planet unstable and almost destroy it, and that planet is kais planet which is big ass planet and probably have the same size as the sun or way bigger than the sun

19:30 in the manga (volume 42), Goku went straight to SSJ3 against Kid Buu and never said that.
But let's say that Goku was comparing him to Fat Buu as someone wrote.
Boohan > Bootenks > Ultimate Gohan >= Buff Boo > Super Boo = Ssj3 Gotenks >>> post training ssj Gotenks >= Ssj3 goku >= Kid Boo > Fat Boo.
NOTHING in the manga supports Kid Boo. Not a single piece of scaling data. While in the anime, only 1-2 lines support Kid Boo, and those were filler! The rest of the anime follows the manga script, which is strictly Super Boo > Kid Boo in raw power, several times over.
There is only a single character stated to weaken Boo from absorption, and that was Dia Kai. He was mentioned by name in the manga as the absorption that caused Boo to become weaker. Not even South Kai.
Bootenks outright said he was the strongest boo in history. As he finally bypassed the level Buff Boo was.
Goku directly said he stood no chance against Super Boo without fusion, and refused to even try without fusing. Then for Kid Boo was certain right through the end that his ssj3 had the capability to destroy Kid Boo. Certain enough to allow Vegeta to risk everything to buy him the time needed.
People like to mentioned the “ki increasing” statement after the Good Boo pod was pulled. But that statement was given for the BUFF Boo form. Before he regressed into Kid Boo.
One moment Goku says no to fighting Super Boo, is shitting his pants to Buff Boo, and then Is eager to fight Kid Boo and says he can win even after fighting. Even referring to Boo as “on his own now too”. All of which implies a huge drop in power from Buff Boo to Kid Boo.
Buff Boo > Super Boo > Kid Boo. Hell, Super Boo is even visually designed as the middle ground between Buff Boo and Kid Boo.
Goku was very pleased at the thought of having Gohan come to fight Kid Boo. And also said when the fusion split that GOHAN can now beat Booccolo without then having to fuse.
People also like to mentioned the Genki Dama as evidence since Kid Boo was able to stop it. But for one, there’s nothing saying Super Boo wouldn’t have been able to do the same or better. And two, the ONLY reason Kid Boo managed that was because of Gokus remaining power wasn’t strong enough to throw the bomb hard enough. The manga was very clear on that. The issue was Gokus remaining power, not the bomb itself. Not to mention the genki dama was made of genki, which is only one component to raw battle ki, and not all of Gohans or the kids battle power was in the bomb, only their genki. Further supported by the fact Gohans entire group including him were only in their BASE forms. Not in Ultimate, not in SSJ, and not fused. And you cannot access the power of an advanced form you are not in, so therefore the full battle battle of the form was not in the bomb.
Even with basic scaling.
Goku needed ssj3 to even attempt to fight Fat Boo. Then Super Boo came along and at a severely suppressed level, less than 1/8 his max (based on the standard ssj multipliers and the fact that ssj3 gotenks was equal to Super Boo), was able to display more power than Fat Boo.
For Goku to be at even the level of Super Boo, it would mean his normal Ssj form would have been above Fat Boo, as well as Ssj Gotenks. Which clearly is not the case.
Basically if you are claiming Kid Boo to be above Super Boo, you are indirectly saying Ssj Goku > post training Ssj Gotenks, despite the fact pre training Ssj Gotenks was Fat Boo tier.
I always feel like the filler of ssj2 Goku Vs buu should of just been vegeta and then he gets beaten instead of the only thing vegeta doing in this fight is buying time, also I believe kid buu is very much beaten like a Pokémon, you can't catch him until you weaken him first. Just blowing him up isn't enough you have to weaken him to the point that he can't regenerate as fast

Just as a heads up, kid buu is actually the weakest buu which is why they realised they wouldnt need the Potara fusion, also why they decided to do 1v1s instead lf double teaming buu. What Goku said was a dub translation error.

The real truth of about the power level confusion is that Toriyama didn't think it through and just had characters say things that sound cool, not to mention the anime adaptation and dub changes.
It can be fun sometimes but legitimately trying to reconcile the inconsistencies in DBZ is a losing battle. 😅

Ya are kinda slow you’ve been watching the show a while and I’m sure people have explained some of this stuff before 12:00 the surge in Goku and Kid buus power was cause ripples in the dimension. As for that attack kid buu throw earlier he was either controlling it or he had the energy bean lock on to gokus Ki signature so that even if he dogged it would just come back around like a heat seeking missile it’s a simple concept.

The dub has mistranslation.. meaning that mistranslations are false lol... very simple concept to understand.. kid buu is 2x stronger then no one. We dont know how much stronger he is then fat buu so we cant say 2x because it was mistranslated...Goku and vegeta would NEVER play rock paper scissors against base super buu.. goku was scared of super buu not scared of kid buu
