This is Alex's first time watching Dragon ball Z & Kyle has not seen the BUU saga! Bryan & Elvin has the seen show and will be joining the journey with Alex to get his reaction!
Dragon Ball Z is about a man named Goku that lives on earth and finds out he came from a different planet and doesn't know how powerful he is until villains from other planets come along.

Kid Buu just destroyed the Earth nonchalantly. No words, no claims, no stalling. He just did it! That's what makes him scary.
I like that they made Kid Buu basically mute, calling back to the earlier incarnations of him that had broken speech. Because I feel like Buuhan/Tenks/etc. made him too similar to Cell.

That very day seeing kid buu debut on screen. He demonstrated he had black Air Force energy with no words.
I think Goku pleading for Buu not to destroy the Planet is the highlight of the episode for me; Goku dedicated his life to defend it and ultimately everything he loved on Earth no matter how big the threat, and so many villains before had threatened to destroy it, Frieza, Cell and etcetera, but this is the first time that Goku realized that the planet he loved would be destroyed and that he was powerless to do anything about it, and for someone like him to basically beg for a villain to spare it is incredible sad if you think about it

His last words were truly chilling. Although he may have been stronger, he was well aware that his original self would show no restraint at all. Kid Buu is the embodiment of absolute terror and destruction. You saw how he at first shot threw a blast that had enough power to desroy the planet. Vegeta's quick thinking stopped it from making contact with the Earth thankfully for the moment. But not even seconds later, he powers up another blast, way stronger than needed, only except this time, it can't be stopped. And for Goku to attempt to beg Buu truly showed how the gut wrenching fear that accumulated in both the newly resurrected Goku and the frightful Vegeta, who was on the blink of being erased from existence. And what adds even more fear is when you realize that Earth's population is nearly completely exterminated. So just think, 99% of the earth is dead, no civilians, no human activities, nothing. All that was left was the Earth itself. And in the blink of an eye, Earth is gone along with it. So in the end, Super Buu was right.

KId Buu is still a ridiculously powerful being, no point comparing him to his other forms of which is stronger or not. But the main threat of him is he's not a logical villain. You can't talk to him or reason with him like you could with Super Buu or Fat Buu, or Cell and Frieza. And that's what Super Buu was afraid of turning back into. Kid Buu is more like a wild feral animal out for blood. He just goes all out unrestrained 100% of the time and is much more unpredictable chaos incarnate. As Shin put it, he's literally just a pure insane killing machine.
All the Buu forms from Fat Buu all the way to Buuhan shared the same mind, which evolved and changed drastically with each form, but they still had the same memories. That mind they had came from the Kaioshings that were abosrbed. Kid Buu on the other hand is almost like a completely separate entity from the other Buu forms. ”I won’t be me anymore” refers to the fact that the absorebed Kaioshins are ripped off as well along with Fat Buu, meaning Super Buu loses himself, his ”mind” that he gained from the Kaioshins, his conscious in a way.
So in other words, Super Buu did die right there, and a new enemy with similar abilities was reborn. When you know that, it makes Super Buu’s line kind of sad even.
His other forms are stronger

Majin buu is the first villain throughout the dragon ball franchise who has ever blown up the earth this is why he's my favorite villain.

Whats crazy is Buu is actually way weaker. I probably put him slightly stronger than Evil Buu but not Super Buu. But Kid Buu is about equal to a full power SSJ3 if not slightly stronger so he's still too much for them to handle alone.

Kid Buu is the first villain to destroy Earth and I got chills when Goku begged Buu not to do it cause Earth is his home but Buu didn’t care at all, pure evil and since earth blew up the Dragonballs are destroyed too and yeah they wasn’t enough time for Goku to get Gohan and the other nor fuse when Kibito Kai showed up

Buu is the first villain to bring down the main cast to only two characters and we thought the androids/cell were the scariest threats back then
How so? Hercule, Goku, and Vegeta are 3 main characters.
The list includes Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Yajirobe, Korin, Tien, Chiaotzu, Bulma parents not sure they died from human extinction attack same goes for Korin since he can dodge them. And Captain Ginyu as the frog😂😂 and Mercenary Tao which he was in a filler around the cell games arc. He got killed too lol

The filler stretched out the episode quite a bit, but the scenes with kid Buu literally lasted seconds in the manga.
Choosing Hercule and dende was a reflex move. He had that little time.
In the stares in Goku eyes and begs show how the end for planet earth will turn out like this.
Hercule now has to live for reason then after all that 😆

When i was a kid, i cried when the Earth ACTUALLY got destroyed like this...
Boohan > Bootenks > Ultimate Gohan >= Buff Boo > Super Boo = Ssj3 Gotenks >>> post training ssj Gotenks >= Ssj3 goku >= Kid Boo > Fat Boo.
NOTHING in the manga supports Kid Boo. Not a single piece of scaling data. While in the anime, only 1-2 lines support Kid Boo, and those were filler! The rest of the anime follows the manga script, which is strictly Super Boo > Kid Boo in raw power, several times over.
There is only a single character stated to weaken Boo from absorption, and that was Dia Kai. He was mentioned by name in the manga as the absorption that caused Boo to become weaker. Not even South Kai.
Bootenks outright said he was the strongest boo in history. As he finally bypassed the level Buff Boo was.
Goku directly said he stood no chance against Super Boo without fusion, and refused to even try without fusing. Then for Kid Boo was certain right through the end that his ssj3 had the capability to destroy Kid Boo. Certain enough to allow Vegeta to risk everything to buy him the time needed.
People like to mentioned the “ki increasing” statement after the Good Boo pod was pulled. But that statement was given for the BUFF Boo form. Before he regressed into Kid Boo.
One moment Goku says no to fighting Super Boo, is shitting his pants to Buff Boo, and then Is eager to fight Kid Boo and says he can win even after fighting. Even referring to Boo as “on his own now too”. All of which implies a huge drop in power from Buff Boo to Kid Boo.
Buff Boo > Super Boo > Kid Boo. Hell, Super Boo is even visually designed as the middle ground between Buff Boo and Kid Boo.
Goku was very pleased at the thought of having Gohan come to fight Kid Boo. And also said when the fusion split that GOHAN can now beat Booccolo without then having to fuse.
People also like to mentioned the Genki Dama as evidence since Kid Boo was able to stop it. But for one, there’s nothing saying Super Boo wouldn’t have been able to do the same or better. And two, the ONLY reason Kid Boo managed that was because of Gokus remaining power wasn’t strong enough to throw the bomb hard enough. The manga was very clear on that. The issue was Gokus remaining power, not the bomb itself. Not to mention the genki dama was made of genki, which is only one component to raw battle ki, and not all of Gohans or the kids battle power was in the bomb, only their genki. Further supported by the fact Gohans entire group including him were only in their BASE forms. Not in Ultimate, not in SSJ, and not fused. And you cannot access the power of an advanced form you are not in, so therefore the full battle battle of the form was not in the bomb.
Even with basic scaling.
Goku needed ssj3 to even attempt to fight Fat Boo. Then Super Boo came along and at a severely suppressed level, less than 1/8 his max (based on the standard ssj multipliers and the fact that ssj3 gotenks was equal to Super Boo), was able to display more power than Fat Boo.
For Goku to be at even the level of Super Boo, it would mean his normal Ssj form would have been above Fat Boo, as well as Ssj Gotenks. Which clearly is not the case.
Basically if you are claiming Kid Boo to be above Super Boo, you are indirectly saying Ssj Goku > post training Ssj Gotenks, despite the fact pre training Ssj Gotenks was Fat Boo tier.

When buu absorbs someone after an unknown period of time they get completely absorbed and pretty much become buu. They just stop existing altogether because they are buu now. Which is horrifying to think about. Also kid buu is weaker than super buu but still ridiculously strong

If Kibito Kai would've gotten to Goku and Vegeta in time for fusion, Vegito would've mopped the floor with Kid Buu and not hold anything back because Gohan and the others are free from him. They also sacrifice Gohan including the others, because Gohan could also defeat Kid Buu and the story would end there. It would be cool to see that in an alternate Universe.

Here is an explanation of why Super Buu turned into Kid Buu and not the grey Evil Buu.
Kid Buu was the original form of Buu, which he mutated from when he absorber Kaioshins, and the Kaioshins left some good in him while his original self had none.
The grey Evil Buu is not an actual form of Buu, he is the manifestation of all the evil energy that was inside of Fat Buu, while Fat Buu became the embodiment of all the good energy inside of him. This is similar process how the nameless Namek separated his evil energy, which manifested as the evil King Piccolo, while the good side became Kami. The difference with Kid abuu is that Evil Buu also had the absorbed Kaioshins in him, all of the even smallest bits of negativity from the Kaioshins.
Inside of Super Buu, Fat Buu was representing the absorbed Kaioshins as well, the original aborbtipns were all in there. And when they ripped Fat Buu out, Super Buu lost all of the Kaioshin influence in him; not just Fat Buu, but the South Kaioshin and Dai Kaioshin as well, and that is why he recerted completely to his original form.
Kid Buu is stronger than the original Fat Buu, but the future fights will show you that he is not as strong as even the base Super Buu, let alone Buutenks and Buuhan. Goku stated they would die against Super Buu even after all the absorbed fighters were removed, and suggested fusion to Vegeta. Against Buuhan, Goku was ready to fuse with freaking Mr. Satan to get even a 0.00001% better chance at winning. But against Kid Buu he is able to fight quite evenly and while Kid Buu was just playing and is most certainly stronger than Goku still, Goku is sure he could finish Kid Buu if he could gather his 100% power and release it all at once. He knew he could not do that against even base Super Buu.
Base super boo is the middle ground between buff boo and kid boo. He is even visually designed to be as such.
The good boo pod created a balance between kid boo and buff boo. Once the pod was pulled the balance was broken. Briefly forming into buff boo, but not having the connection to sustain the form he regressed back into kid boo.

Booccolo was a minuscule power increase over base super boo, but had much larger head piece.
Base super boo at just a small fraction of his power was far beyond anything Fat Boo reached, but still the same head piece.
Boohan was well past Bootenks, with the only change being the shirt.

Kid Boo is weaker than Super Boo, he's just completely evil and irrational, which makes him dangerous.
Think about it.
Ssj Gotenks was strong enough for everyone to be confident he could beat Fat Boo. That means ssj Gotenks BEFORE training in The ROSAT to get even stronger, is stronger than ssj2 Vegeta.
Ssj2 Vegeta = ssj2 Goku
If ssj 1 Gotenks is stronger than ssj2 Goku, how would ssj3 Goku be stronger than ssj3 Gotenks?
Base Super Boo was pretty much equal with ssj3 Gotenks.
Goku is completely outclassed by Super Boo, Gotenks and Gohan.
Vegetto would decimate Kid Boo far more easily than Boohan.

Yeah almost but not really I would count the final clash between Cell and Gohans 1 handed Kamehamaha wave as him almost blowing up the earth cause he came close due to Gohan being hurt. But the first time Gohan blasted Cell with no effort no matter what move he used to blow up the earth Gohan would of mad an even bigger blast to top it.

The fat Kai that protected Supreme Kai and got absorbed is Grand Supreme Kai also known as The Great Lords of Lords. He is actually really strong, he's the strongest Kai of all even above the Supreme Kai, Elder Kai and Grand Kai by a lot. He would have beaten Buu right there but the reason he lost is because (SPOILER ALERT) he lost over half of his power in the battle with Moro, the Planet Eater. Which is a character introduced later into the series in Dragon Ball Super Manga. The battle with Moro was long ago even before Majin Buu was created, millions of years before. Moro is basically a being that consists of magic and Grand Supreme Kai had no other choice but to seal away his magic in order to survive but it was at a cost of losing over half of his power. So that's the reason the Grand Supreme Kai lost to Buu while he originally would have won with ease if he didn't lose his power during the battle with Moro.

The only reason I question this is because Kid Buu caught the Spirit Bomb fueled by all the power of the humans, namekians, kais, and Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, and Gohan. King Kai even said the Earth couldn't provide any more energy afterward.

12:00 Although he said this in both the anime and the manga please note this is another BAD power scaling moment for dbz. Remember Cell had enough energy to destroy THE SOLAR SYSTEM which definitly should take more energy than 10x earth. Realistically that blast shouldn't be earth x10 OR solar system level its actually more or less GALAXY level of a blast if your consistent with the power scaling......unfortunately Toriyama isn't always because he's more concerned with story and characters (which makes sense).
My only possible response to that was that Buu hadn't even fully charged it when Goku said that.
This Buu isn't stronger than Super Buu , he doesn't have the brain of a normal being. Also Goku not picking Gohan and others is shitty plot to give Goku and Vegeta the chance to end Kid Buu.
It's perfectly in character for Goku. He's not going to let innocents die, even if doing so would be the "strategic" thing to do. He knew there wasn't enough time to save everyone, and saw Hercule and Dende first, so he acted as a hero should and saved those he could. It was also arguably a better choice than saving Gohan or the kids, as keeping Dende alive is incredibly important if Buu's destruction is to be reverted. Having the raw power of Gohan or Gotenks wouldn't bring back the Earth or its inhabitants. Only the Dragon Balls can do that, and only Dende can make new ones.

noooo. when they are inside of buu, we literally watch them cut out all characters that made buu stronger. when they escape buu and he starts to transform, their base reference of his power is just super buu. so if anything, stating buu is growing in strength means kid buu is stronger than super buu
@@saeres9288 Exactly, the Kais made him ridiculously weaker as stated, he was getting stronger by absorbing the characters (Z Fighters), but it wasn't in comparison to Kid Buu's true strength, there's nothing holding him back, basically:
Kid Buu: 100
Buff Buu (got weaker by absorbing a Supreme Kai): 10
Fat Buu: 1 (even more weaker, since the Innocence of the Fat Supreme Kai brought his evil [his true self] thus power down)
Super Buu: 8
Buutenks: 50
Buuhan: 75
Get it?
@@saeres9288 Actually, when they reference buu's power level growing, it is actually about super buu turning back into the kid buu who had absorbed the south supreme kai (buff buu). Also, just to note that the manga nor anime never states that the south supreme kai ever weakened kid buu when he was absorbed. It is actually implied that it was the opposite, specifically that south supreme kai made kid buu stronger.
@@Zayn-hx2gz youre pretty much agreeing with me. the other guy that responded to me agreed with me, but we're clearly not on the same page. point being, buuhan is clearly the strongest version of buu, followed by buutenks. everything after that is anyones guess. i just find it weird that people really think buu fused with freaking gohan and gotenks is somehow weaker than kid buu. it just makes no sense.
@@saeres9288 Yeah i agree with you that it is a bit murky after buutenks. However, I would lean towards super buu being stronger than kid buu because of a couple reasons. First has to do with some things Goku said while in super buu (some may claim this is due to their size; however, that is never indicated in the dialogue itself that that's what Goku was referring to, and some may also bring a unverified daizenshuu article that possibly talks about their size difference (although Torrus Silver needs to confirm that this came from a Daizenshuu, not just claim it with a screenshot)). Also, daizenshuu isn't known to be the most reliable source lol. Second it has to do with the indication of how kid buu became stronger when he absorbed south supreme kai. But, I think all this confusion is due to the writers and their lack of cohesion.
