Great overview of old style hammer. This was a great help in just what to look for when thinking about purchasing one or evaluating a machine for rebuild. BTW: Little Giant now has a new owner, longtime machinist Roger Rice. He has over 20 years of experience with the Little Giant parts and with doing repairs, so is more than qualified. Working for him is David Sloan, who will answer technical questions. I believe Sid will still be doing annual seminars (Little Giant Hammers Facebook page).
This one was sold shortly after I made this video. One of the guys who was at the blacksmith meeting that I mentioned was the buyer. Thank you for your kind words. If you want to buy one, go here: www.spaco.org/Blacksmithing/GetStartedBsmthg.htm It'll show you how to get in contact with folks who have the to sell. Pete Stanaitis ------------------
Here is my translation of the comment: Good review A very good tool where you could buy one with delivery to Kamchatka. And these sanctions are *** *** *** (very bad). This brand of trip hammer was manufactured in the USA from about 1880 to about 1980. Similar machines were manufactured in many other countries, too. contact your local blacksmithing organization and ask them where to get used power hammers like this one.
No, I don't have any for sale. If you want to buy one, go here: www.spaco.org/Blacksmithing/GetStartedBsmthg.htm This webpage will explain how to make connections with people who do have blacksmithing equipment to sell, trade, etc..

Thank you , Dan. My wife Sheri and I use our website and our "living history" reenactment activities to, hopefully, "pass it on".
