- Instead of using the orbital maneuver planner to plot the flight, I'm just using an "eyeballing it" technique I learned in Kerbal Space Program. Less precise, but I've had a couple beers and these flights were routine in KSP so I have no patience for precision. And the Kosmos-2 probe is nothing more than a fuel tank with a rocket motor anyway (and the R-41 launcher is a bit overpowered for this but whatever) so it's got a few Delta-Vs to spare. The probe is 0.5m diameter and the R-41 launcher is 1m diameter. I don't remember how tall it says the whole stack is but it goes to space and it looks very nice, and that's the important part.
This is early in a career game, one of the first few flights outside of low orbit, and my first time reaching Lunar orbit in this game. It's my second time playing a career game in Juno, I didn't get too far in the first one (I tended to get bogged down modelling fine details on my spacecraft) and I started a new game after the recent update came out and so here we are.
