These past few months have made me realize Evan Hansen is the perfect role for my vocal range. Others I can do well, but this one I for some reason can hit notes well I might struggle with singing other parts
@@Gart_The_Fart well if we really want to get into it, no one should try to sing like someone else because what might work for some like Ben Platt, will probably not work for others, and damage to the voice could occur. Now can he sing well? I can't deny he's not good. But also, there are better singers to emulate. And then there's a separate conversation about how poorly Broadway is writing their musicals now

My soprano ass is like struggling (I can get through almost all of the notes, in fairness I alter them a little but they still sound like I’m just ‘adding flair’ or something but when it gets to the ‘he comes to get me’ part I crack, i have to just speak it and pretend it’s an artistic choice😔)
Trust me, I’m an alto, and although I can sing this, I can barely sing lots of other songs because musical theatre doesn’t have many parts for altos :(
