6 weeks "my web designer" has been working on a site for me, and on Friday told him to do one.
Over the course of 3 days I followed this and I now have an almost fully functional website.
All I need now is how to add a feature so models can down load a "model release form" and bring it to the shoot.

Dale, you by far have the BEST, simplest, step-by-by easy to understand tutorials when in comes to this stuff! I created my site... a new one (which my old ones are hosted by Hostgator as well) and used the promo to help you out. I followed along and used my own content and images and WOW pretty simple. I did have a couple of glitches, but was able to work them out.
I just have one question and it might be a touch complexed. As far as the Blog goes, what do or can I do about various categories? For example, under the main menu at the top of the page, I have main headings of like Photography with a drop down menu of Business, Modeling, etc. I replaced the old Blog and created a new one as you did, which works great. So would have create tiers of pages under each heading of say Fashion, Modeling, Photography and then the Blof is the blog.
I also tried creating sub categories with the Blog as the Parent. It works but just not having much luck separating categories. Any input, suggestions or fixes?

thank you so much for your video! it has helped me navigate this process. I love your technique of displaying photographs as posts on the front page although im running into a hurdle that im not sure how to solve. On your video the titles you apply to the photos only show as a translucent mouse over, while in my photos the titles are displayed in a white box below the image. It looks nice but it is interrupting the effect of having the photography showcase on the main page of the site.

Hi Dale! Thank you for the easy to follow video. I only have one question. After putting up some of my favorite photos on the home page, by using blog, now that I actually have a blog page, the photos are showing up in recent blogs to the right. If I want to add more images to the home page, how do I do this? If I want to keep those images from appearing as a recent blog on the blog page, how do I hide them so that visitors can only see the blogs? Many thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks. Used this video to start a photo blog. ... I followed directions on how to do the new post, set featured image, use gallery category and tags. Works. But how do you do same thing but add multiple photos to a single new post (for example, several photos taken during a family outing)? It seems I can’t add multiple photos to featured image. Love your camerawork judtvwanted to ask a quick question regarding focus
Im using a 4K phone to record my videos for my UA-cam channel BUT I just can't get consistent focus
Autofocus moves around everytime I gesture
Other focus settings seem to blur slightly
I've tested each one and can't get anything consistent
The locked focus makes sense but because to get the video started i have to go behind the phone it can only lock focus onto my background which in effect is the same as the infinity focus
Please please help, why are my camera videos so inconsistent from one video to the next on my channel
Hey! Just saw your video about buying two different websites on Fiverr at $30 and $100, and instantly subscribed.
I'm a digital marketing consultant, who now does more website design and re-design than I ever thought imaginable!
I use WordPress often, and it has many, many great perks. But I also use another website tool called FunnelBolt, (it's basically all-in-one marketing tool for businesses), and it comes with a built-in landing page builder (LPB)...
Which brings me to my question: would you be interested in critiquing the software's LPB?
I know it's not something you'd be making money off of (like a sponsor), but it is another video idea for your channel, and you'd be able to give honest feedback and your professional advice on website design and what aspects could improve to make it more functional/easier to use.
I speak with the dev team almost every day, but I feel like my suggestions go unheard quite often.
I'd love to see you do a video on the topic, and I know your suggestions would go a long way with the development team (given that you're a professional at what you do).
Anyway, keep up the great work. I'll be patiently waiting for the next video!

When I use the Photograph theme there are some things missing , like I dont have a big picture in the beginning , I dont have , I also dont have the slider option above the first pictures on the front page , there are like things missing , in wordpress I how the theme looks but when I activate it I only have like half of the things ...

I wondered that one myself and found the answer. To be able to edit the footer, you have to upgrade and purchase the Plus plugin from the theme developer website: themefreesia.com/plugins/photograph-plus/
Not sure how I managed it but managed to loose the dynamic large image header, I now just have the banner, cant work out which setting I have changed, any advice.
