    My sister said I was mean because I got her husband hooked on fly fishing and tying flies, I told her that I got hooked on fly tying after watching your videos, I have my nephew's fly fishing also

    Great pattern Brian! This is my go-to streamer style that I tie in 1.25 to 6 inch lengths in colors to imitate the local forage. The only thing different that I do is to use bucktail for the first two ties (yellow on this fly) on the bigger flies to reduce fouling and to get the taper I want.

    Just a beginner. Craft fur is cheap, so I'm starting here. Thank you

    Nice fly Brian. I'm retired for tying for a while 'cause I sold my house and I'm moving into a motor home. I'll probably be down your way in the next couple of years. See ya on the water. Keep the good stuff coming.

    Thanks for sharing. I feel for beginners there could be more instructions as to why and what you do. Not a criticism just a suggestion. Love the fly.

    Nice simple fly. Thanks for sharing the video. What vice did you use in the video? It looks like an Anvil but I don’t recognize the vice jaw set up.

    Awesome. What brand of craft fur is that? I know someone likely has asked but couldn't find it.

    Thanks for a great pattern. Hoping the Puget Sound coho will like it as much as I do. I'm finding the most difficult part is getting the eyes right. It appears this 3M 60 second glue I'm using is a bad choice. What are you using for this? Also, any other color combos you like?

      As of right now, I don't think so. I will be up there as soon as everything settles down, for sure.

    I'm very new to tying my own flies so this is a deep rabbit hole. May I ask what thread you are using? I have noticed different tyers using all different types of thread. I'm assuming to achieve a different look or strength. Do you have a preferred thread for this specific pattern? Thank you in advance for your response.

    That is one "crafty" pattern Brian. Sometimes the fishiest flies are the simplest.

    Step 1. Have UV resin... guess I can't tie this fly

    • @Colopwnius
      @Colopwnius 3 роки тому +1

      UV resin is pretty useful, you might want to invest in some. But you can try tying the fly without the resin. It'll probably fish just fine but will be less durable.

    • @flyfishingtheozarks
      @flyfishingtheozarks  3 роки тому +1

      Agreed. Resin is probably the most useful tool I use, next to a bobbin.
