    Some other English words for "die Morgenlatte" (04:40) are "Morning wood" or "early riser".

    1:18 Perhaps weapon of mass "stupification"? Seems appropriate to have a slang equivalent.
    Man, my professor is not going to appreciate it when some of these slip out when I have to make up a sentence on the spot.

    Just a big danka for the phrases you passed to me on face book about tanks.
    However the German workers threw the "vag" phrases around alot. Is that a common thing?

    • @dansattah
      @dansattah 10 років тому

      Yvonne McGarry It's very regional. Ask a person from Northern Germany for "Lederhosen" and he probably feels "a little" offended. But that's how Germany has been for ages now. You can try to unite the regions with a government in Berlin, our capital, but in the end it's everyone for himself.

    Ich: bist du am malochen auch? wie ein Pferd arbeiten? oder nur wie ein Pferd studieren? (Probably wrong xD)
    Samstag 16:29
    Freund: Ne bin fertig jetzt :D war grad eine Woche in Berlin arbeiten und fahre gerade heim.

      Ich: ...si no usas albert slang (If you don´t use albert slang XD)

    at 3:26 sone = so eine?

    • @aroflwatislos8242
      @aroflwatislos8242 10 років тому

      yes

    • @pitri_hub
      @pitri_hub 10 років тому

      Exactly. The correct term is "so eine", but many people just say "so 'ne" - it's simply a shortcut like "do not" becomes "don't" in the english language.

    • @ImGuitarX
      @ImGuitarX 10 років тому

      That's what I thought. Thanks for clarifying!

    • @aroflwatislos8242
      @aroflwatislos8242 10 років тому

      victor campechano just to clarify further: in opposite to "do not = don't" "so eine = sone/so 'ne" is SLANG. So talking like that is OK in certain situations but you definitely shouldn't write it unless you're texting with a friend.
