I really like what you're doing with your Bronco. A lot more creative and unique than dropping $60k on something that you may or may not actually need. The grill, tires and retro badge are my favorite parts.
I don't like a new car with a retro look . The truck has few cues from the past already . I don't want to offend anyone , besides I appreciate all the effort that goes into it. Love the work and dedication .

Yes, same way, used plastic prep spray. I definitely recommend that step, it breaks down the surface of the plastic and allows the paint to properly adhere.
That would definitely be easier! I have seen them on Amazon as well. The only difference is that a decal will not cover the sides of the letters, so you will get a two-tone look.
You and me both! The top might have to wait a while...as you may know they have all been recalled by Ford, so no reason to paint it now, I am going to exchange it for a new top probably in October.

@@BudgetBronco I like the retro vibe. I don't have a Bronco (canceled my reservation) but I do enjoy budget builds that don't break the bank and that are practical/ realistic for everyday people. Especially on the trim you bought.
I've thought about that, but that would also mean wasting time and money on painting something that I will have to give back to the dealer. I even asked them if I could keep my existing one when I come in for the new one, but they said no, you have to turn it in to get the new one.

Turned out awesome! You should consider painting the modular bumper white with red tow hooks. It would be like the 66-77 broncos with white grilles and bumpers

I think it looks great , that’s one of the reasons I’m waiting to order mine , I want the hart top to be painted to match the body and I’m fairly certain that will happen in the next generations Broncos.

Nice work but if you did not spray an automotive grade 2 part urethane clear over the grill after it was painted , I can imagine the bugs will destroy it in short time .

just JBWeld them back in is what i'll do. I've got a Hot pepper red badlands on order and plan to have the grille painted gloss black and do the letters in body color. The white grille isn't for me but its your rig ;)
Ford could of made the letters easily removable. Same number of pins on each one, but with a squeezable tab. Squeeze and push out. Just push in when done.

The white grill looks Great and future white wheels, BUT the Red is overwhelming ( try black face and red just on the sides on the letter ) (BUT if you should ever hit something it will know know a Bronco hit it lol)
Grille looks great. Love the vintage vibe. I might suggest off-white or cream (as opposed to bright white) for an improved vintage classic look. Nice job!
That’s fantastic! On the forums, I’ve seen a dealership paint a grill but I think yours looks so much better. The concave grills just look proper, unlike the convex grills of Badlands/First Edition.
So…thought I’d like it better. Maybe Bronco is too modern to go “full retro”? I’d holding off for Eruption Green, had thoughts of doing white grille/top/wheels. But now thinking maybe gray/steel grille and top and unpainted steelies now

Protip: those little foam ear plugs meant for hearing protection are pretty good for keeping paint out of small bolt holes like that.

The molded floor liners are really nice too, and if you really wanted to you could always take out the carpeting
