- Another in the series of sea fishing in Cardigan Bay, Wales (UK).
This video covers two sessions in May (filmed on 22.05.23 and 23.05.23), fishing at Clarach Bay, from low water and up to the top of the tide. I came here to catch bull huss and both sessions were successful. Techniques and rigs are dealt with, together with venue details.

Great session and mission accomplished, thanks for sharing once again 👍
Thanks for that Danny.
Hello Michael
Well done with the bullhuss a stunning fish especially the large ones...
Thank you and best wishes..
🎣
There are large ones there; which I'll target next time!
Well it certainly kept you busy at that mark between catching and moving with tide , that was a proper work out mate, lovely dark Huss , love catching these , very much appreciate your efforts sir 🎣👍🏼
Thanks - yes and they put up a better fight than dogfish, so quite a work out.
Top Angling Mick..A really enjoyable watch and you certainly put the miles in..😂
Thanks Pat - yes, I like trying out new venues, so am prepared to travel some distance.
Bull huss heaven there mick 😊
Yes - better than catching dogfish all day!
Another great video and session 👌 well done Michael 👏🔝💪🎣🐟🌊
Many thanks!
Awesome again Mick plenty of huss (sold as rock salmon) in my teen years .Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Thanks - I much prefer them to dogfish 👍
A couple of busy sessions there Michael, I’ve never caught a bull Huss myself but they always look to me like they are full of attitude & would love to give you a crafty nip if they got a chance. Love to see your videos Michael but a lot of the venues are a long way from East Anglia. You certainly get around. Looking forward to your next instalment, you could be anywhere.
Thanks Chris - if I can find the time I'll be on Essex / Suffolk venues a bit more often, especially since the soles are showing now 👍
@@rodsangleuk6283 Great to meet you & your buddy on Clacton pier. Looking forward to seeing the video.
Great video, never fished there but been and looked several time , might give it a shot soon 😀
Plenty of action, so worth a visit.
Very informative as ever, Mick. Never thought to use a rucksack as a tripod weight, great idea. Do you ever fish heavier braid, straight through, to avoid weed around your leader knot. I've been using 60lb Jbraid , you lose a bit of distance, but it makes life easier. Looking forward to seeing the next adventure.
Yes - I've got spools with 50lb braid that I fish straight through to the rig when there is a severe amount of weed, or at very snaggy venues.
Great video, just wish the wind noise. mic drop a bit also just wondering where you’ve got your tackle box looks great
Can't really avoid the wind noise - I know it can be a bit annoying, but I think it gives a better / more realistic impression of what the fishing conditions were like. The box is a RidgeMonkey Bucket seat and I got it online.
