I stopped buying the large oversized pallets. I never used all the colors and it was a waste of money. I much prefer a small 4-6 color pallet. My last “big “ pallet purchase was the Mac neutral one ,it has 9 colors and all are being used.
I feel the same way! I used to like bigger palettes, but now I always gravitate toward quads & smaller ones ❤️
I am so right there with you! I love to look at pretty palettes and swatch them but when it comes down to it I just love a neutral palette for every day or that I can smoke out for evening. I also love a good one and done. So I also need to declutter. Thankfully my nieces love getting my decluttered makeup to play with. Also I keep trying and trying to really love the PM motherships. But honestly, I just end up looking at them and I keep them just because they look pretty in the palette. I never touch them.
You’ve done a thoughtful and thorough declutter to make your collection one that you love and get so much use from
Tip about Moonlit Seduction, it needs a stiff brush to blend the mattes. I was going in with a soft brush for the longest time and it was always so patchy till I changed my brushes.

Totally agree with you. I love face makeup & don't focus on eyes as much. Happy with a simple eye look/one n done & a bit of mascara

Wow, this was really good! It's I have been getting some new makeup and was wondering if it's worth purchasing a larger palette, but you're like me, a neutrals lover, and other colors keep disappointing me... I definitely give the Patrick Ta ones and Tom Ford quads a look, but I think once again this year I will stick with my Wet N Wild My Glamor Squad and the original Naked Basics 😂😂😂

I’ve fallen off the Pat McGrath train, as well. I love her quads, but the Motherships are not worth it, IMO. I wish she would sell her astral blitz shades as singles. Have a great Christmas and enjoy your New Year 🙂

I do really love the pat mcgrath astral shades but not a fan of the ones that are chunky-the older ones seem to be more smooth. Bought a few of smaller ones from holiday collection which work great. Trying to minimize my eyeshadow collection too. Love the sigma colors in the palettes but noticed hate all the topper shades that are very dry so ended up getting rid of the ones i bought.
I still want the tarte aspyn ovard. We never got it in Canada. 😢
Keep those Dior palmettes for sure. Old formula is so much better imho
I just had to have the Profusion Casper mirror from Halloween bc I loved that movie, and when it got marked down to $5, I caved. I actually do use it to see the back of my hair though!

I did the same with y the ario and Patrick Ta, I kept the PT, love the Mario but the square on the palette was just too small
I’ve been debating on decluttering the Tarte Full Bloom. I don’t use large palettes anymore either, but it’s so pretty. I think if I don’t reach for it in the next few months, I’ll let it go.
It’s so hard because I love the shades in that palette, but it’s just too much so I always end up choosing something else to use 🤷🏻♀️
I would be interested in a couple of them if you do post on Poshmark. Mercury Retrograde is a palette I have FOMO about.

I don’t think you should have to apologise for the things you like and want to keep :-) we’re all different and have our own preferences. Besides, I remember Mel Thompson also loved that Aspen Ovard collection - that palette specifically (apologies if I spelt that wrong).

I'm new to your channel (this is my first video) but I was just wondering what brushes you use with Pat McGrath? When I finally got one a couple years ago I was not impressed with the mattes either. Someone told me to use natural hair brushes (Sonia G, Rephr, Chikuhodo) and now I love the Pat palettes. I'm not super knowledgeable about brushes, but I do know I went from not liking the mattes to loving them just by switching brushes. (You may already use them, just thought I'd share what worked for me.)

Divine Rose is my favorite I got the coolest gold holiday look for Christmas the bronze quint bronze V mothership and X I love too 🤍🖤🤎🤍🖤🤎🤍🖤🤎 they are confusing to use tho lol
