"The full final power of a Kawasaki H2. I am terrified as any mortal being should." "Hold on I want to get on some music" My guy, that is two sentences I thought would never be together.
I would definitely recommend a intercooler upgrade when you start modifying and tuning for more power at that point a intercooler upgrade is preventative maintenance and could save you money by preventing you from hurting the motor by running it too hot, if you plan on doing a smaller supercharger pulley intercooler upgrade is absolutely essential.
The bike will just detune itself, it won't hurt the motor. Without an intercooler, you don't reap the benefits of running more boost, full exhaust, tune etc without being AIT limited after a few pulls. You'll hit the AIT safegaurd a lot quicker. You'd hope a tuner would leave the safety parameters untouched. We have "kill" tunes which only get used for "when it really matters" like money races, etc. Last thing you want is to lose a 10 or 20k race because your ecu dailed you back a little. This is the same ecu safegaurds you see on modern / high-end race ecu's. TT lambos, high hp GTR's, etc all have tons of safegaurds, AIT's being one of them. Heat alone doesn't cause issues, when everything else is left the same, heat promotes detonation, the ecu simply backs off timing and pulls fuel accordingly to make sure knock and predetonation isn't an issue.
@@taylorv4 That is all very true I was mainly saying an intercooler is essential when you go to a smaller supercharger pulley and want to be able to ride full throttle in the summer without heat soaking the factory intercooler and spiking boost temps. The one pull and not a long one in this video had temps to almost 200F on a cold day which typicaly under 220-240 you won't damage anything but if you want to track a modified H2 in the summer its is 100% worth knowing the intercooler has been done.
@@MechanicallyMusical I agree, my argument is that as long as safety parameters are in place, heat isn't necessarily an issue with motor safety as the bike will gradually throw itself into limp mode to keep the motor safe. Thoughtaken seems to think he is above the engineers though
He's known for doing things that a good person wouldn't do, acts like he knows a lot when he doesn't (but naïve young youtubers eat it up). There isn't a whole lot of passion in his content, it feels more like "what can I create for views and money". He constantly has to tell people the MSRP of the bikes he owns, used a girl and a relationship and pretended to love her for viewership and money, makes false claims such as the H2 being setup in a way that is unsafe for the motor (its perfectly safe, kawi engineers have a laundry list of safegaurds and AITs is one of them). His thirst-trappy content is strong disliked by the community as well (although, he doesn't not do that as much anymore). I wouldn't say the hate is unnecessary. @taylorv4 I mean i think he talks about thr price of the bike because it's soemthing many can't fully understand. That show much many will pay for a car and he bought a motorcycle for that price. as far the other information yeah I agree that he's definitely had actions of a shitty person

i just got my '24 ninja 650 tuned this week, and holy shit i had the same exact impressions! the throttle is so much smoother and torque hits better more evenly across the range. its like a new bike!
The laugh on you when you receive your H2 is golden. Also, the bike sounds soooooo good now and hearing the supercharger...like MINDBLOWING and hearing u all excited now that the H2 is now tuned in a sweet tune is beautiful 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
I'm pretty sure one of those bikes was my step dad's last. Some young lady was texting n driving on a 2 lane highway. The bike just had a guard of some sort put on the side the day before. He lost a leg, flew in between oak trees and lived. The bike guard saved his life from the car but the bike flew right into a huge oak that he missed
it don't tho literally ask lightspeed h2 he has and h2 with a intercooler BUT that's only cause he's pushing 270whp with other engine upgrades, before when he was pushing 245whp he rode for like 12k miles just constantly ripping on it without a intercooler and his bike is healthy. Really think Kawasaki a company that ALSO makes heavy machinery and planes doesn't know what they're doing? They put it through SO many tests and still never failed. just because the boost temps get to 250 don't mean the bike gonna explode it's literally made for it.
You can run your intake temps up to 210 safely. This is long enough to do a full pull and let out. Just don’t stay in it for extended time. Let it cool back down to 165-170ish before ripping again. That’ll be the standard cruise temp with a tune. You’ll find that cruising over 120mph for long periods of time will get the boost temps up high as well.
There is a point that more HP is just a death wish. I have test ridden 170 HP and enjoyed it, but am okay with 100 HP BMW GS. Another 25 HP would not be a problem, just speeding tickets
The front wheel will not bend ! Unless you hit the rim ! What will happen was that you blow the forks out ! That is the first component that will bend ! The triple trees are very strong and difficult to bend ! 😊
Bro! You wanted to help the bike breathe better as you say. You added the trick exhaust to flow better right? You kept the stock air filter? Isn’t that similar to running down the street with your finger in your nose? A proper filter will flow not only more air but also flow the air in a directed manner.
Riding a 250hp bike with basically no gear on and a soft boot for a broken leg / foot sounds like a pretty bad idea to me. Maybe I have to much self preservation though.
I ride past State 8 everyday going to work. Everyday I try thinking of an excuse to go in and look around. Their new Triumph selection is super tempting.
You already talked yourself into a intercooler. Just buy it. You wont regret it. You should have bought it before the tune. I did and it doesn’t disappoint one bit. You also need a full exhaust to help it breathe. Then the supercharger upgrade… then another tune.. then a intake. 😂
I used to live in that area of near State 8, I’ve been there a couple times. That’s not where I bough my 06 Ninja 250r at which I made unusable and worthy of a junkyard after I hit the ground at 95 mph on June 18th, 2006.
Wow! Your road surfaces are _so_ bad eh? That's shocking! 😲 I'm in the UK and although we have our fair share of problems on minor roads (one lane each way), all of the major roads (2 lanes of more) are kept in pretty good condition right the way across the network. Stay safe bud 👍👍
You don't need intercooler with a just tune in less you have stage 3 we In the uk have are h2 tuned 250 bhp bikes are running fine with no over heating
Who flashed the ECU on your H2? I'm going to get mine flashed and I want to know who to go with. I'm glad you are happy with how the bike is running now.
My dude, even my bulky B-King responds like that if I'd keep it in 2nd gear all the way 😅 Mine also has a reflashed ECU, two custom maps and all limiters disabled. These big bikes really do make you think it's trying to rip the tar off the road under hard acceleration! Enjoy that big beast brother 🎉
the zx4rr has an exhaust gas recirculation device. i wonder if the h2 has something similar thats heating it up too much. if it doesnt i guess its something to do with compressed air heating up like it does at the tip of a rocket.
i have the same problem as you going from mt07 to h2 but mine is a tdm850 to a s1kr lmao not exactly the same but the power is night and day people wont believe.. 70hp to 165hp is crazy lmfao
Please go do a track day with some mates, You will not regret it! There will come a time when you are to old to handle this much bike, go suit up and make some memories brother!
How old do you have to be for that to happen? I know guys in their 60s who have faster bikes or bikes just as fast as this and they ride them like they stole em.
Just because the top speed is 250mph doesnt mean you have to use it all, everytime you ride. For some the Segway was insane..😊 An old two stroke 750 with a throttle lag, is far more dangerous! When it hit....instant wheelie for 3 gears.
Just stumbled upon this video. First and foremost, ditch the GoPro and get a Vantrue F1. Second, like I tell a lot of people, just because you can twist the throttle quickly doesnt mean you should. Take it easy and be smart. If you speed, not saying you will, do it smart and not in traffic. Be safe.
Do you not find the H2 too heavy for daily riding? My z900 is 40kg lighter and still feels a little heavy in city riding and mountains. I really like the look and power of the H2 but thinking of moving back to something lighter.
This over heating reminds me of my 2010 s1k. I probably have to take it to a shop to get it looked at next season because sitting in traffic it climbs to 200+ and will over heat if I let it get to 220. When I’m just cruising or doing pulls it sits around 150 but as soon as that mf idles for more than 3 mins on a nice day, it’s over😂
First pull made bro start philosophizing

H2 doesn't need to build boost, it makes boost at idle due to the design of the supercharger.

cruising supercharger flutter at 4-5k rpm so damn nice
On the throttle sketchyness, get an oval shaped throttle body. Had the same issue with my Ducati Monster and this fixed it immediately.
That no clutch quick shift is sick and it sounds sick
