  • I made this video to show that even a happy person can burn out. It happens to all of us. It is important to recognize this condition at the beginning, give yourself a rest, a break, ask for help from loved ones, from specialists and not let yourself get into a deep depression.
Please listen to yourself, take care of yourself.
    You can handle everything.

Hi Alexandra, I love all your beautiful & thoughtful videos. I have been struggling from severe burnout for a while - so don’t let it get worse. It’s good you are aware of it and start acting. I read a lot about burnout and the advice is always the same - cutting down on activities, more sleep and rest, more self care, more exercise and good food etc. I practice yoga daily and meditation so I am pretty in tune how my body and mind feels.
Three things helped in addition to what’s already mention:
    1. Have somebody else step in to take over responsibility for the household & kids - we women shoulder the brunt of all this work - physically and mentally (read about the “mental load” of managing kids and HH). Having the kids play in another room is not Rest as you still have the responsibility for them. Can your husband take on some of the physical or mental load? Can you hire someone? Letting go is important esp. when you are a perfectionist. I also explored productivity systems that allow me to do an”brain dump” and manage things to do from there.
    2. Work through your stress and let go like shedding those leaves. Complete the stress cycles - this idea by the Nagowski sisters was a totally new take on burnout for me. It’s an eye opener. Short. Erosion here: ua-cam.com/video/PrJAX-iQ-O4/v-deo.html There is also a TED talk. Emma Spiegler has also good tips on how to physically complete the stress cycle.
    3. Move towards minimalism - hard to do with kids but even more important. I wish I had done this when my kids were little. You are already there - just mentioning for others in the community. Every item we possess requires caretaking and makes housekeeping so much more demanding. It’s also a mental burden. Read about the “The Silent To-Do List” by Fumio Sasaki. It was an eye-opener for me.
All,of these ideas are also covered by others on UA-cam. Sending you lots of good energy for your winter ✨💕🌿

What wise advice, Katharina, thank you so much for sharing. Yes, we are already thinking about a nanny or a kindergarten, and it is incredibly difficult to transfer responsibility to strangers. That's probably why I've been avoiding this question for so long. But I'm learning, I'm opening up to new experiences. I'll watch the video on the link, and the TED talk, I haven't watched anything from there for a long time, although I love TED speakers, so many interesting personalities. Thank you so much for your support! This is very important and very touching for me. ❤️

What works best for me is being on my own and gratitude. Breathing deeply, saying thank you to the universe for all the little things i have, gives me so nice energy. And when I am full of love and nice energy, I can be my better self and spread that energy with my family. On days like that I prioritize myself. Enjoying every single moment. A nice walk. A warm drink. Relaxing music. A bobble bath. And thinking about what a wonderful family I have and how lucky I am. ❤️

Hi Tara. I'm not happy that you are burned out but I'm happy that you are showing this human side of all of us mothers. That we are first human beings and we deal with all kinds of emotions,expectations,... that burn us out and yes we too are mothers, wives, children of our own parents,employees,...and the list goes on. some days I just close my eyes and think would it be possible to stop the moment while all chores are waiting. The weight of this fast world is each day getting heavier on us...all the updates, all the social media accounts we have to handle, all and all and then we ask ourselves why are we exhausted ? we raise our children all by ourselves do everything for them,,,since when did our parents have this much load to carry? Thanks for this video... It shows we are on the same boat. Thanks for not putting yourself above us and thank you for showing that all of us are human

Such a very sensitive and sincere video.thank you for that , Alexandra.
I live the same "travel" these last weeks, it's not a perfect time, for several reasons...but i know i have to sleep enough( so important), to choose who and when i meet people( if i want...) and i have always a schedule for everyday life, with to do lists, and a lot of walk outside, yoga, gardening, méditation ( 10 min every day), and good food but healthy food.
I try to draw, to read in english...
I try to not forget me. To remember who i am, who i was ....and who i want to be.
    Sad only some days....
Take care, dear and so nice Alexandra. I understand you very well. I know you are courageous and strong.
Thank you for this important topic.

I believe the pandemic has made us all question our choices in some ways, and has taken a toil on our mental health. I recently quit my job, a job that I loved, but we had a new director and bad management, so I quit to save my mental health. I'm now working a half of what I used to, so I can focus more time and energy to my family, being creative, taking care of our home and most importantly taking care of myself; something women in particular often put last. You are not alone, and thank you for talking about this, and sharing it with us.

Oh, I'm so sorry that the new management did not meet your expectations. You're just great that you put your health above work troubles. I think everything that happens to us is for the best. New experience, new thoughts. Everything will be great, thanks for sharing, it's so touching❤️

Thank you for this video 🙏🏻 i needed this as a mom, who does almost everything by myself and also i go to school, have 2 rabbits and a house. I had burn out last year, things are better, but i need to rest more and be less on special media. And i need to try to put less work and stress on myself. I need to learn how to be present and enjoy my life.

You're not alone, we can handle it. It's a difficult period right now, but it will definitely pass as soon as we give ourselves a little rest. Please take care of yourself, thank you for sharing your feelings. The first steps on the way to solving problems are to voice them and accept them. 🙏❤️ Everything will be fine, you are a wonderful strong woman. With love

    Hello Alexandra,
I really like your video, this soothing space, beautiful house, I have a question? do your children go to kindergarten and school? Greetings from Poland

Nice to meet you, Marta! No, my kids don't go to kindergarten. I understand it would be more convenient, but we don't go yet. There are several reasons for this, one is in me, the other is that my daughter did not want to at the time, and I have work from home, so I decided to combine work and motherhood. Fortunately, there is an opportunity. Mom helps me a couple of days a week.

I understand you perfectly well because I had the same feeling when it comes to kindergarten, I have 2 daughters, 4 and 6 years old, next year we will have a school and I do not hide my joy because of that, I am terrified by the Polish education system, I am looking for some alternatives like at do you in Russia look like alternative teaching? kisses Marta
