The production value of Linus and his tech tips has improved at least 10 fold since he bought this case. I'd like to see a video of how the case is today, after x amount of years, please.
Just a quick tip: You should go and get yourself a custom foam cut for that case. I work at a place sells the same cases, and the case itself is amazing. Probably the best you can get. But the pick and pluck foam you got there gets really flimsy after a while (especially if you're not careful when putting things in, and out). And when you add a second layer of the same type of foam it get's a lot more flimsy. Most shops that offer Pelican cases also offer custom foam for their cases.
Pelican will supply the custom foam from one of their case centers. You will find that the 2#PE custom foam solution will cost you only a little more than the pick and pluck foam. If you are looking for a custom foam solution, send me a message. Happy Holidays. Love the 1510 or the iM2500.
In that case may your data stay safe and to all geeks a good night! tmw is xmas so i don't expect a video from you and that's ok because you have a family you need to spend time with CX gl & have have a safe holiday!
That's because the more high end a thing is, the more the end user wants to customize. That's why Canon's 1D series almost never has a lens kit. My DSLR is in a Pelican, but some people like soft cases. And high end tripods don't come with heads, because the heads alone are expensive, and may not suit your needs (and including a cheapo head would be an insult, wouldn't it?).
*Works like a Pelican case should.... tough as hell and take the abuse I give them. We travel, we shoot (photo/video), we drag them through any and everything. I have never had one fail. Most of mine look rough on the outside but my equipment looks good and is protected on the inside.*
You need a professional to use a camera of that caliber. You can't just set it to auto and expect it to be awesome. They need someone to show them how to adjust exposure, white balance etc...
this pelican case is really for the egg container. Look at the egg tray inside. No wonder what the name and the logo is all about. Note: this is not only for pelicans eggs but also for chickens,turkeys... :)
These cases are good. You should check out ar15.com. Do a search for cases and see how some of them set up their cases. And even use hot wire to cleanly cut the foam. Enough skill and patience and that foam will work just fine.
That's pretty much what I'm trying to say, that Linus doesn't have a regular professional assistant and doesn't know how to setup the camera properly by himself, that results even lower quality video than his old camera on "auto" mode
Linus does, but with his knowledge in video editing (sorry Linus) videos taken by his new camera look even worse than those taken by his old Canon (it's a DSLR-like if I remember correctly)
Linus My name is chris and i am a computer tech out of viginia in the us. I was wonder how good "Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Brown Cherry MX" keyboard would be for an extreme gaming. I have basically recommended razer and logitech to my customers but am opening up more to the market. Please get back to me...

Pelican Cases are the best cases if you are going to transport valuable items that are fragile.
It's still my old Survivor v1. I'm determined to use it until it dies.
Is it still alive? An update on a product like this would do it justice if its still going.
Hell yeah dude, shoot a quick update every couple years, then a funeral when it finally dies.
Wonder if you still use this?
Old Linus videos are weird
Linus before the horrible adverts.
Right? The beard not being there is so weird

I would suggest to separate the camera and the lens when putting in this case. You can have your lens in a vertical position and have more space!
Didn't know linus was reviewing pelican cases.
Whatever you filed with this time, looks better than your new camera.
I have to agree, there is one tech quickie video, not the smartest of purchases at the time, still love the videos!
0:10 i'm loving the Axe on the wall, for those damn difficult clam shell unboxings !!
Great timing, been checking these out for a rifle and new camera
Do a followup video on how you organized the layout inside the case!
Btw, PELICAN for the win.
Linus you should make a video of you cutting the foam from step 1 to end
It would be nice to see update video on how the foam cutout turned out. Not that i'm ever going to get this case but i just have to see it.

do a follow up video on getting the case customized!
"couple of hundred buck piece of plastic" - Warhammer...
It actually isn't a very expensive item for what this case does. I would love this for my pc or consoles when taking them on the road.
i'm pretty sure it is his highly durable Corsair Survivor Stealth usb 3. he made a video of it about 2 months ago
In that case may your data stay safe and to all geeks a good night! tmw is xmas so i don't expect a video from you and that's ok because you have a family you need to spend time with CX gl & have have a safe holiday!
Thanks for the unboxing Linus.
I just picked up a brand new Pelican 1510 case off of Ebay for $86.00. The Pelican cases are well worth the investment.
Would you consider using that camera more often? for example on your unboxing's and stuff...the quality is very good on the corsair survivor video

What, no Tunnelbear/Private Internet Access shilling?
I don't use it for blog videos. Check out the TechQuickie channel.
Can you do a follow up video at CES, review how well it did and how you ened up laying everything out?
Please do show us how it all ended up looking after cutting and fitting. :)
You should show us how you handled the cut out :)
Please make the best Desktop that fits a pelican case 1510 in 2019
I have the Pelican Air 1507 for my SilverStone Technology Ultra Compact Mini-ITX Computer Case (SST-SG13B-USA)
*Works like a Pelican case should.... tough as hell and take the abuse I give them. We travel, we shoot (photo/video), we drag them through any and everything. I have never had one fail. Most of mine look rough on the outside but my equipment looks good and is protected on the inside.*

Would love to see some more motherboard reviews from you, especially with a look at the UEFI BIOS of them....
Today on first look: Linus unboxes a box.
Haha
You can just search it online, maybe Pelican has a website or some sort. :)
Those padlocks might be cut off by the TSA >.> as one of my friends found out which they left a handy note that the inspected the box.
Hi Linus, can you show us the result of cutting or process of cutting?
I agree with some of the others, the first thing I thought is I wonder if you could build a computer using this.
Pelican's are the best cases. Just done right.
Pelican is the gold standard for firearms cases..has been
sometimes more expensive technology, doesn't equal better production quality.
is not a hundred buck piece of plastic I've used it as an aircraft technician and it is realiable,,,,been 5 years with it and cant complain :)
this pelican case is really for the egg container. Look at the egg tray inside. No wonder what the name and the logo is all about.

wow. you can fir a laptop or mini pc in there. good for LANs
Røde mics are the bomb :D
We made a school project at uni for a company that imported these things, damn those were expensive
Do you still use these cases or have you tried other better/worse brands?
Slick, put Linus in the case, so you have some seat space on the plane to CES! (:
you can see a huge difference
Interesting, but will it blend ?
Hi can you do a video when you have cut out the foam, with the camera in it. Thanks.
Only Linus can take a big box and pulling a slightly smaller box out of it interesting.
What did you use to shoot this video? The quality is pretty much the same as your uber expensive camera
AWESOME vid! I had to watch this video before i went to sleep soundly.
The pool would probably be frozen so technically he/she is correct, unless it's indoor pool and I don't think it's that cold in Canada
Could something in this be denied for insufficient packaging for a UPS claim?
Will you ever use it for a blog video?
Why not ?
love those cases! I got one of them for storing and transporting all my lenses! :P
Be sure to like Linus videos if you like them, because they are awesome! :)
This is of absolutely no relevance to me. But I still watched!
more Linuscasetips plz
u don't need a case where the thing is a case. .duhh. .this thing will do the job. .u dont need telescoping sliders or what not. .
Its youtube man...Nobody bothers to render high quality videos for youtube
How many Pelican cases do you suppose LTT uses now?
"Whatever this thing is costing me" So yeah..you can afford it ;)
make a steel frame with an ATX, PSU, SSD, PCI-E brackets and then it is the ultimate rugged LAN pc.
thank you!
These cases are good. You should check out ar15.com. Do a search for cases and see how some of them set up their cases. And even use hot wire to cleanly cut the foam. Enough skill and patience and that foam will work just fine.
When is the next CES ? :)
can we see it when ya get it in there?
wow, the old videos are weird
That's pretty much what I'm trying to say, that Linus doesn't have a regular professional assistant and doesn't know how to setup the camera properly by himself, that results even lower quality video than his old camera on "auto" mode
I was kinda hoping something would jump out of the case when he opened it.
TechQuickie channel?i think its one video on linustechtips not a whole channel!
Hard work my friend, Hard work
Oh man how things change
IS there any mic case exactly where you can remove the foam. For a mic and shock mount (BlueBird SL)
Linus does, but with his knowledge in video editing (sorry Linus) videos taken by his new camera look even worse than those taken by his old Canon (it's a DSLR-like if I remember correctly)

And thats the way to go with preety much everything :)
thats the big question
Can you review the bitfenix colossus?
when do you start to use the new camera? :)
"like i could put all my weight on this and it's not going anywhere" *puts weight on it - nearly snaps the damn thing in half*
haha
thumbs up Linus is still using there old corsair USB!
Yeah, the colors are much better (also the contrast) and he doesn't look pale as f*ck
Can I use this for stuffing my clothes?
perfect case to store single SSD
Soon oooold
So why bother with more expensive technology...?
The only thing I know Linus really uses in his new camera is the HDMI output (for the livestreams)
It's the Pelican Brief..... Case.
What's on your keychain? Seriously wondering.
Good suitcase.
Linus is the Sales and Marketing Dept for NCIX lol
not to film 2012 Dec 21st?
can you do a videos when you have cut the foam?
Why do you have an axe on the wall?
Linus, what happened to your right wrist? :O
Bulletproof?
