👏👏 Really that picked #1?? Well, the fact that he is in charts after 30 years is what makes him a LEGEND... A SINGLE FREDDIE'S DEMO REMASTERED IS BETTER THAN ALL TODAY GARBAGE MUSIC 😎😎
Dave Clark who did the musical that this came from was one of his best friends and was with him at the end. This track is available with all the music and backing vocalists and choir. But the recordings ended up lost in the archive, Dave managed to eventually find it and then came the labour of love stripping back over 90 odd tracks to get down to just Freddie. They redid the piano and cut the video together from pieces of negative. He didn't release it straight off but waited for the Bohemian Rhapsody craze to calm down. It was released as a tribute to Freddie by a mate that loved him very much.
This recording was just a demo. Think about it. Just a demo in the studio! Amazing! And thank you Dave Clark for finding it and sharing it with the world!
There's another song from the same Musical where this is from that Freddie sings. It's called " In My Defence". That one is really beautiful as well. Freddie's vocals are breathtaking as always. You might give it a go. You won't regret it!
I bought the original version back in 88 when I saw it in the bargain section of a record shop, a 12" single, he also recorded another song for the musical that's available to watch on UA-cam, in my defence. A really good track well worth a listen, even if it's not a review👍👍
It was a demo in the studio with just Freddie, Dave Clark, and the pianist. The actually produced version has been available since 1985 and its called Time. Its on you tube. But, it was the studio produced version. Dave Clark produced the song and remembered how beautiful the demo was so he had his engineer hunt for it. They didn't find it until 2017. He also found the 35 mm film that was used to make the video. They only used two of the four cameras so Dave had the other two developed and spliced a video for the demo but Freddie was using the studio produced version when they made the video so the words don't completely match Freddie's singing. There is a side by side version on you tube and they are almost identical but I think his singing is more powerful in this one.
@Kenta Renard - Yes, I had the misfortune of being born in that shithole country, but then had the good fortune of being able to legally come to America.
The original version of this song which was just called “Time” was released at the time in 1986, it’s been on various albums since. This version was just a demo that has been stripped back by Dave Clark. There are lots of unreleased Queen songs many of which can be found on UA-cam, there may be others lurking that’s why Queen employ an archivist called Gregg Brooks.
As been said below. This was the run through, the first time he sang it, it was done in one go, basically him demoing. That was the version that was lost.
The tapes were lost for years. Dave Clark found them two years ago. These were demo cuts. Who needs all the fluff. Freddie and the piano are all you need. It's so moving, I well up every time I hear it.
That’s correct. I’m glad your back with Queen. 👑 Queen is doing 3 new videos with you tube. There involving the fans. They have a web site. Can you please start putting classic rock back in? 💜🧡
i like this song and your reaction :-) thank you for the vid!! this is a quite old song which was released in another version on the album, single and maxi in the 80s! and there are more songs by fred! unreleased and surely about to come! or not ... 'cause i own some tapes (!) and every queen-fan would kill for them! the tapes i got are amazing! but i am not allowed to release or publish them! fighting with "the law", record company, right owners (?) for nearly 10 years to publish them! amazing recordings in amazing quality - right from the tape! but i'll keep on fighting! people need to hear them! "I've Been To Hell And Back" is avaible by Peter Straker ... produced by Fred! Most Queen-Fans even don't know that this track exists! Nevermind ... Fred recorded it as well (with two queen members) ... you can't even find it on bootlegs! 100% unreleased! just a handfull of people heard it! easy to find: "man from manhatten" (eddie howell singing, fred playing piano and sings background vocals) - listen to it an you'll hear the queen sound and freddie in the late "aaahhhhhh!" :-)
Great song. Freddie has the album Mr. Bad guy. Give it go. Plus the US version called the great pretender. It has time on it. Different version of it. Enbrace the voice of Freddie Mercury.
This was owned by Dave Clark, not Queen. Brian has said in an interview that they have no plans to release more recordings from the large amount of saved tracks from their vault. They currently want to concentrate on their tour with Adam and other projects.
They have a vinyl picture disc of this song on Freddie Mercury's homepage on line. Both on CD, 7" vinyl, and both of you choose to. I already ordered mine. www.freddiemercury.com/

Can you react to the hitman by Queen and the Great pretender by Freddie Mercury please I've requested this to a slot of people but they don't do it and it's been a long time
Está aqui algumas músicas do Freddie Mercury que você não escutou. Ele têm muitas músicas solo. E têm também duas músicas gravadas com Michael Jackson. In My Defense How can in Go Its So You Love Me Like Theres No Tomorrow Hold On Freddie Mercury and Jo dare Let Me In Your Heart Again One Year Of Love See Wait a Fool Ive Been Langham Soul Brother E outros. Eu não sei se vc esculta músicas internacionais, mas têm muitas músicas boas brasileiras, eu pessoalmente o recomendo Deu Vero, Rosa de Saron.
I understand your question about why did it take so long for this to come out, but others below explained it. Another way to think of this, why have we not seen any releases from the Michael Jackson archives? We know there are hundreds of tracks from Prince but we haven't seen a big release yet.
Freddie Mercury song's are charting at number one almost 30 years after his passing. Now THAT is a legend!
👏👏 Really that picked #1?? Well, the fact that he is in charts after 30 years is what makes him a LEGEND... A SINGLE FREDDIE'S DEMO REMASTERED IS BETTER THAN ALL TODAY GARBAGE MUSIC 😎😎
"In My Defense" is an awesome song as well. #Queen4ever #MrFarenheit

thanks for this, I pretty much knew it, but you saved me from having to 'splain :)
I get a little carried away at times honey but thanks for the thanks !@@GinMae
The one and only ! Everyone needs a little Freddie in their lives, or in my case a hell of a lot of Freddie in their lives !
Only Freddie could chart so many years after he’s gone. Thanks for reviewing. Keep Freddie alive!
This is magic - like Freddie was and still is. Wonderful.
With the way the video looks, it’s like he’s singing to us directly from Heaven.
Freddies back...💙💚💜💛💖
This recording was just a demo. Think about it. Just a demo in the studio! Amazing! And thank you Dave Clark for finding it and sharing it with the world!
Well said...thanks so much for finding mr.clark...AMAZING..meaningful...

Love Freddie ❤❤❤❤
Such a great song
Freddie's been yelling this at us from the afterlife for 30 years. Don't wait, don't fear, don't stop.

Great detail on the story... I had heard most of this but appreciate not feeling the need to make my garbled explanation... :)
I’m *SO* impressed that you chose to react to something like this that’s nothing remotely close to rap or pop. Very cool. Sub 4 life!!
Your name sounds Romanian
@Kenta Renard - Yes, I had the misfortune of being born in that shithole country, but then had the good fortune of being able to legally come to America.
Such a brilliant song! Where is the love button?

Where have u been with Queen reactions for so long a time? Welcome back!
The version Time from the musical has a music video too. Dave Clark has been working on this stripped back version for 2 years now.
The tapes were lost for years. Dave Clark found them two years ago. These were demo cuts. Who needs all the fluff. Freddie and the piano are all you need. It's so moving, I well up every time I hear it.
Just because I can't see any other comments mentioning him - the pianist is Mike Moran, also a friend of Freddie & Dave Clark.
Wow...wow..his long time friend and only pianist
Beautiful song & lyrics ❤️
Maybe this song will be use to Bohemian rhapsody movie 2..I guess ..That's why it keep that Freddie 's song

Dave Clark, the producer, explains everything in an interview.. it’s in UA-cam 😊
I miss Mr Fahrenheit..very much.
There is a different version with him. This is a different version. Without a choir
“Use the good china. Now.” -Barry Manilow
There is a released song with Freddie and Michael Jacson. There must be more to life than this.
This was owned by Dave Clark, not Queen. Brian has said in an interview that they have no plans to release more recordings from the large amount of saved tracks from their vault. They currently want to concentrate on their tour with Adam and other projects.
