@@cionm Brotherman, yeah kind of took it literally, but I also get where he's coming from, and it's actually pretty sound advice. After trying and failing at the same thing a hundred times, your confidence wavers. So, start doing other tricks you know you can land in order to build up that self-confidence again, then go after the main trick again. He's not an idiot. Just had a different perspective.

I very rarely comment on any youtube video, and the whole time i was watching this i kept thinking, he could totally land that into a primo slide. For 2020, id love to see you do a regular stance underflip to primo and once thats completed, move to the switch variant. You could totally do that man. Great job and great videos.
Giger, you are what brought me back to skating. I'm a 30 year old Network Engineer that skated for 15 years until my son was born. Now that he is old enough, I am back to skating and he LOVES our skate time at the skatepark. Right now I'm working on getting fakie and nollie big flips down. I'll be trying late flips now because of you. :) Love ya, man! To 2020 and beyond, we go!
Love & Respect from Japan, I just started skating with my kids, 3&4years old. And I hope one day they grow up and watch your vids trying to land your tricks....
Oh my god. Round 3 is already 15 years old. This was my favourite skate video back in the days. I stopped skating 14 years ago and started again this winter. After discovering this great UA-cam skateboard community wich encouraged me to start skating again. Thank you very much Jonny for your fascinating content.
I'm 31 years old I used to skate every day. I was showed Rodney Mullen and I fell in love with skateboarding now for my kids I show them you and hope they fall in love with skateboarding. Thanks bro
Great year man! try a Nollie Hospital Varial Flip. It's not much of a step up from a regular nollie Hospital Flip, you'll nail it for sure. It's been inspiring watching you this year, looking forward to seeing what you come up with for 2020
If there's two of Rodney Mullen's tricks I'd love to see someone do is that nose manual to heel-flip darkslide, and that 5-0 to quick pop shove it into a nosegrind.
i got to meet rodney mullen last month in pensacola, and i have your fantasy board, when i gave it to him to sign he told me you were very nice to him and an amazing skater. keep up the great work jonny:)
I mean this, with all the love I have for this channel. You are so mean Jonny Giger. When you slow mo, zoom or change the camera angle, I'm thinking he finally got it...NERP.
Happy year of new skate brother its great to see a new vid from you with your gnarly skillful incredibilities much love always from enoch of the pacific northwest olympia! !! God speed amigo
I know u can probably already do them but I would love to see some forward flips!! Don't know why it's not more popular, it's the coolest looking trick to me!!
Wow, you've got a hell of a lot of patience. I never spend that much time doing a single trick at one time. I always limit myself to 20 attempts of any one trick in a single session and then I'll move on to something else. I've found, the way that I learn, if I keep making attempts over and over again, I really don't make a ton of progress because of the frustration factor. Everyone learns differently, though, respect the dedication.
"A single flat ground trick. You have to have a hell of a banger to use that in a street part". Jonny your flat ground game is way more impressive than most video part tricks. I'd take that sw kickflip underflip over a nolieflip down a stair set any day of the week.
Jonny giger and braille house got me back into skating ! Was a pleb like 10 years ago, and now im 30... but going to pick up a board again ! (That i got from a mate kek)
Hey dude I said it a lot last year in the comments I’d love to see a video of you and Rodney and if u put a video together of all the Rodney tricks you done and do his reaction id think he love this and you done so much hard work happy new year Jonny wishing u all the best in 2020 🙂🥳
that trick looks sick to land, kind a like ur skateboard videos as you show how hard they are actually and you still to manage to nail em, high drops for that
In the nail the trick you use the sticks to flip the board , the left stick controls the left foot and the right stick controls the right foot Use the left stick to flip the board and when the grip tape is facing up let the sticks go to land on the board You can also branch tricks, try flipping the board then using the other stick to flip the board again
you can tell he´s pissed when he lands it sloppy and doesn´t even make a break for "there was it, but let´s try to clean this up." i feel you. keep up the good work
Firstable- whoa this trich is innaaaaseee this is just mindblowing Secondly- im also a skater and i know that feeling- last time i struggled with backside flip over a plastic car barrier and it was like 2 weeks of waking up earlier before school and going out to try it for hours(like 10 hours in total) only and yes- i did it but it was so sketchy but after all i feel i won some battle. Anyways congrats Jonny and have a happy new year
I want to see a one footed 5-0 grind, (was my special back in the day) was still learning, but that one was something new for me, can you remake it for me so I can see it once more... no fancy iPhones for recording back than like we do now...you are good motivation and appreciate your dedication.. thanks bro
Got an Ollie trick I did in the 80's ....Flat ground Ollie and when you reach full peak meaning flat level in air drop your back leg off and back so the board nose dives which does a full wrap around your lead front foot. I'm not talking about a front foot impossible which it is like that but the board stay fully strait one whole rotation around the front foot. As you land it will likely be slightly in a manual position which you kind of have to ride out of when it happens . Its freaking crazy hard to do and cause ya got to have a good high Ollie for the board to rotate that means ya gotta Ollie as high at the board is tall. It feels crazy weird cause ya have to level out your full Ollie and when you drop your back leg everything happens really fast like stepping off a curb not knowing it was a bit higher while walking😉 I wish I could still get out there and skate, nothing makes me feel like I did when skating back then. My favorite memory is getting my NATAS KAUPUS complete board Christmas day Red board with Puma cat design blue wheels Indi trucks yellow clouds blue griptape. We were poor but my dad made it happen that Christmas freaking skated like a mad that year street really became huge. Nata's was the true original street skater, Tommy Guerrero was awesome also but nobody could match Nata's it was unreal and changed everything.
Oh boy, i could feel every of you tries, especially when the bord went half flip and than did weird hospital flip motion, always happen to me when i try any flip underflip, btw super stylish trick, As always
Hey Johhny that was tight man! I remember in 1994 when I saw Rodney do them in Questionable & I even called them kickflip underflips back then with no way to know the name
Goal for 2020 - make it happen that Jonny and Rodney meet next time he's in the US!
that would be so rad. If Rodney saw Jonny's videos he would definitely want to meet up

I'm surprised you haven't added a "Giger Counter" in the corner of your vids to count your earth-shattering attempts.
Pretty sure hes done it
He has and I think he even calls it that so this kid has seen it before hah

@Mykel Hardin yes sir, you got me im getting on the bus bus now.
The next trick: switch flip underflip to primo slide body varial out. ❤️
