Yes there are lights behind the white plastic as well as throughout the instrument cluster. With a little care you can pop off the instrument cluster surround the same way then the cluster is bolted in just like the radio.
Smashing :-), another spare part released from prison :) Not too hard, as long as you know the sneaky hiding screw :-) I think the locking radio connectors is going a bit too far, ive never had a radio connector back itself out without provoking it. The neatest types are just one plug with every function on it, usually with so many connections that the friction would stop the plug getting out. Yep nut drivers are so much better.
hi to all! I have a question about the display "compass/temperature" on the overhead console. My Pt is a 2.0 Limited, year 2002. With the headlights off, the lights of the radio, compass/temperature and km/miles displays are at the same intensity. But when I turn on the headlight the light of the compass/temperature display, is lower than the others. It goes down automatically. I know we can regulate intensity from the steering wheel but with the headlamps turned on the light of the compass/temperature never works at the maximum level. Is it correct? I've tried on Pt cruiser 2nd edition from 2008 and it doesn't happen: the max intensity level of light of the compass/temperature stays on also with the headlamps on. thanks
1. Say I do care about the security code...how do I find it? 2. How would I install an aux cable to use an mp3 player? It's a cd player, so the cassette adapter is not an option. Thanks.
thanks for the video, but on my radio (2003 2.0 ptcruiser) the display has disappeared but the radio still works perfectly.... until i brokedown last week with a dead battery and had to have it replaced on the road, so when l started back up i now have a radio that doesn't work and also the display still doesn't work. so i cant input the code as i cant see the display which has been missing for years!!.... is there a fix for this that i can do??
@@leonardschlatter4984 I asked the dealer at the time, and they told me just to count out the numbers/pressing the buttons as normal and it'll work. But in my case, just with no screen.
Thank ya very much! Saved me allot of time figuring out stuff!
Nice job! I still have my factory radio and actually listen to CD's in it. But this looks like an easy removal in case I upgrade the stock unit.
Very good video, no fluff just good stuff😁
Thanks 👍
Perfect video. Thank you.
pozdrowienia z Polski, dzięki za filmik

Is there something holding the window switches in place? I feel like I’ll break it if I do what he’s doing to remove the switches
Amazing! Thank you
Why do you sound like peter Griffin

How to remove Garmin 2.0

I need another video how to install the new android radio!!?? 🙂
Hi rich what year is your pt?
From the design of the center console, it's a 2000-2005. The center console is identical to my 2005.
What about a 2007?

Try adjusting the steering wheel up and down
@chuckthebeast7693 Yeah, that never worked. Anyway, that car has been gone for years. Now, have a gen 2 vert.
@@bazzabaz5931 ah, I have a gen1 gt vert, that depending on the steering wheel angle, makes the horn and radio screen stop working
Thanks so much!
is that a double din radio or single din ??
1.5 din
thanks
