In my opinion the melancholic main theme, while being very beautiful, gets a bit overused in the film. There should have been a third theme in the score, especially for the actual successful landing sequence.

Agreed. Oscars have become a joke, sadly. But it's still nice to see people that deserve recognition, at least get nominated
