Hey Hoovie - glad to see you're doing well! Here's the secret to prolonging the front transmission: don't use it! In sport mode, the front transmission is disabled, and all the power goes to the rear wheels. The damn front trans actually 'pulls' the car forward at a greater pace than the rear trans.........thus, it is going to go 'boom' if used on a non-slippery surface. Just a matter of time. Kinda like the Jeep 4WD system - never use on dry pavement! The previous owner of my FF replaced my trans as it was leaking like crazy - $40K job! I keep mine in sport mode all the time! You can adjust the shocks to comfort mode with the button on the steering wheel - gives you great performance, and a soft ride on the highway when you wish it to be a cushy ride! I have twin car seats for the kids in the back of mine! Enjoy!!!!

Yes really quirky but glorious at the same time. I would have had one at the drop of a hat but with only a 6k budget my choices are always pretty limited. Still, it’s nice to dream..
The GTC4 is a much better car and even looks better. A lot of the errors they had in the FF were fixed in the GTC4. So I would recommend going for that. It does cost a lot more, but its worth it in my opinion, because you will able to drive your car, instead of visiting it two times a year to see how far the workshop has come.
I think you’re right. For that price there’s a lot of other stuff that makes more sense. Especially since someone in the market for this is also likely to be looking for a “proper” supercar and something more for regular daily use.

It's not that dumb. A weird looking V12 Ferrari checks all the boxes for future appreciation. Especially because in 10-15 years there will be no more new ICE cars.
@MuitoDaora I doubt very highly that ICE cars will be phased out by then. Too many people don't want an EV, and we don't have the infrastructure in place to make it feasible. Think about this, you want to take a vacation. The destination is 1500 miles away. With an ICE car it would be about 22 hours of driving including gas stops. I really like the FF and the Lusso. Practical, and very cool, cars imho. Congratulations, and best of luck with it. It is true that the front gearboxes are a weak spot of these, so best of luck with it.
I expected the Purosangue launch would cause significant depreciation, but given the current launch price, this and the GTC 4 Lusso should maintain a value of around at least 100K for some time.
I think the Ferraris that retain most of their values are the one's with V12 engines, so the FF and the earlier GTC4 that had V12s are still collectible
I loved that car, traded up to a Lusso when I found the options I loved. If you want to know anything about the car since BaT, let me know. Also bought a FOA warranty prior to sale that is good until may or June 24. Enjoy my man, loved the car!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE - I know they get "the hate" but always reminds me of a "clown shoe" on steroids - I grew up pre-hatchback generation but several cars were popular when I was a young driver so I always gravitate to any hatchback models or Shooting Break (my understanding was that shooting brake models were designed for resting while you were hunting - but I digress)... Keep up the great work Hoovie!
Ferrari owners dont compalin about leaks or mechanical issues nor do they discuss it in public but talk trash about the quality of other manufactures. They dont even take them to the dealership for service. If they dont trust the Ferrari dealership then why trust Ferrari at all even with the MSRP. Some models are meant for the track and must be serviced and adjusted after each run. They arent meant for the hood with potholes nor stoped at red light.

All things considered, your vehicular decision-making ability is certainly on the rise! Uh oh...this must mean a zombie apocalypse is fast approaching!
The biggest thing I get out of these videos...is that while these sports cars are cool...theyre not worth the headache the maintenance requirements for them are going to cause.

@@MuitoDaora Tell that to the Ferrari 400 series lol...they are still not THAT expensive
@@michaelbadura5897 Many laws passing around the world that ban ICE sales in 10-15 years (specially in luxury car markets). And the infrastructure will follow the demand, not be set in place before there are customers for it.
Been toying with the idea of buying this car for 2 or 3 years. So appreciative of you for doing it. I was looking for that exact spec too. Much love from Columbus Ohio, thanks for so many years of awesome context
Man that ff is my favorite body. I love that hatchback
I always knew this was going to be my first Ferrari when they depreciated so much. Welcome to the FF club Hoovie!
I LOVE these!! The 4wd system is so cool. There are a lot of the V8 replacement models near me, but they're just not the same. Has to be the V12. Those transmissions though, and other relibility horror stories, would give you a scare
I will trade my Camry for one. It costs more so it should be more reliable right?
@@rogersmith7396this wasn’t funny
@@MA-it3ps I thought it was funny.
Definitely funny. Considering that’s sorta how Lamborghini began lol
@@MA-it3ps It actually was funny and you're just a dullard.
I think its amazing and honestly one of the few that you can live with on the daily. That's the ultimate Ferrari family car. Traditional isn't always a good thing. Gotta get with the times also. That thing is bad ass.
Honestly one of coolest recent purchases
Always loved the look of these. It's a mega hatch. A step above a hot hatch.
dude talking about theripy in a ferrari is just my idea of charles lecercs dream gift right now lol
PTU on my FF went out at the beginning of July! Thank god I bought the warranty no regrets with the car. Absolute bang for the buck!
To be honest, I wanted to hate its design. But I just couldn’t, lol. I’ve always liked this funky thing a lot!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Good job Tyler and wizard amazing teamwork. By the way for everyone saying last video that wizard lost weight. It was just water weight. He’s fit and phenomenal. We love you bud. Keep the assignment going. Tyler you look magnificent bud glad your getting enough sleep and everything I pray for you and wizard all the time. And Doug
I actually like the ff, I was stationed in Germany when the testers were running around and I saw a production version in Prague as well. I think it’s a looker and it’s got some practicality as well.
Fun fact: Tyler is the founder and president of The "Small Meat Gang" an exclusive car club that you can only join if your meat is 6 inches in length or less... You wouldn't believe how many giant trucks, Lamborghini Gallardos, Lamborghini Countachs, Ferrari 458s, Ferrari F8s, there was also 2 McLaren 720's while
The rear could be a bit longer to make it look more balanced but it's still pretty.
The FF is one of my very favorite Ferraris. I love the shooting brake body style. The V12. Such a cool car
Unique solution for AWD. Instead of a transfer case and drive shaft to the front, we'll just mount another transmission on the front of the engine!
It's not a bad solution, just not one most people would be prepared to pay for. Luckily "most people" aren't Ferrari's target customers.
23:08 He's about to fly...
Super-hatch! Love these shooting break design and you can make 3 others car sick instead of just 1 passenger!
I really like the FF and the Lusso. Practical, and very cool, cars imho. Congratulations, and best of luck with it. It is true that the front gearboxes are a weak spot of these, so best of luck with it.
I’ve always loved the FF. The most useable Ferrari
Hey Tyler. Nice to see you still at it. That car isn't so much dumb a it is redundant.
Keep up the great work Hoovie!
i think this looks better than any other ferrari for sale today. i just wish you could have gotten the v12 with rear wheel drive
It looks like one of those goofy BMW hatchbacks
Ferrari owners dont compalin about leaks or mechanical issues nor do they discuss it in public but talk trash about the quality of other manufactures. They dont even take them to the dealership for service. If they dont trust the Ferrari dealership then why trust Ferrari at all even with the MSRP. Some models are meant for the track and must be serviced and adjusted after each run. They arent meant for the hood with potholes nor stoped at red light.
I’ve loved the look and idea of this Ferrari from the start. Congratulations and good luck! Thanks for the video.
always loved the FF, extremely happy you've grown to like it as well. yours is calling out for some silver wheels too, I think it would look fantastic.
I’ve always liked the FF’s look but I’ve never seen one in black. It looks good and rather menacing. The “awd” setup is very odd. Thanks, Hoovie!
Always an oddity, but if the “Shoe” fits 😂
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tyler in shorts lol nothing sweeter than a V-12 Ferrari
When the FF came out i was absolutely fascinated by it, and over the years its grown on me so much. I think its my favorite ferrari of the past 20 years.
Just when I think you couldn't do anything dumber....
You go and redeem yourself with THIS!
"The dumbest channel on UA-cam" is a lot to live up to. He's got to work hard for it.
😉
Hoovie: "Well, I think it's a great value and very practical..."
Wizard: "Weird", strokes his nose
Daniel-San: "... it's on borrowed time", can't stop smirking
Love the FF. Would be my choice if I were in the market
You got this! Thanks for posting, always a pleasure to watch your videos! 👍👍👍
Tyler, you absolutely scored an upgrade swapping your C8 for the FF. That exhaust note alone is so distinctly Ferrari that I could never tire of its throaty burbling! The interior truly is beautiful and the fact that you can swap from family mode to mean machine at the flip of a few switches is ridiculously impressive. All things considered, your vehicular decision-making ability is certainly on the rise! Uh oh...this must mean a zombie apocalypse is fast approaching!
Does anyone else find it funny when Hoovie talks about "style" when he dresses like a middle schooler?
At last, a practical sportscar I can't afford 😊
The biggest thing I get out of these videos...is that while these sports cars are cool...theyre not worth the headache the maintenance requirements for them are going to cause.
Yes that’s patently clear, but Hoovie was astute enough to spot the entertainment value of it…
Depends on the size of your inferiority complex.
Not the most beautiful Ferrari, but due to the proportions required for a shooting brake, I think it is quite lovely. That V12 makes such a glorious noise! And very nice spec. I'm hella jelly, Tyler!
Black the worst colour possible though.
I personally lived this when I first saw it, and I have never stopped loving the style of the FF!! This would be a dream car for me for sure!!
I love these cars, I don't care what people how ugly it is. I think it's one of the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on.
Great to see another Hoovie upload!! At this point is there any car Tyler hasn't owned yet!!😂
Keep up the good (dumb) work love frm the U.K 🇬🇧
I like the concept. It looks nice to me. It makes a cool family car. It's likely a nightmare to fix if something goes wrong.
You're looking happier after your divorce. Keep it up bro.
Rented an FF while we were in Italy and it was a GLORIOUS drive. Loved it!!
As a 928 guy....this is my Italian "lust after" option. Shooting brakes and wagons FOREVER!!!
Hope you are doing well Hoovie.
This is basically a BMW Z3 clownshoe ×2
Glad to see you're producing videos again and look a little healthier I know it's definitely got to be hard living in the hangar I hope everything is going to get better for you man. had a rough stent there at the start of the year now it's time to bring the new one in with a bang absolutely love the channel man I enjoy watching you on Barrett-Jackson Car issues you were definitely the definition of a Car Junkie
Anyone else agree to get rid of the window tints? I think it would make it look much more classy like a Ferrari should look
Love that you are doing the FF Justice, it’s a great car, the sticky buttons though!!!! So frustrating for an exotic.
Hoovie, this isn't so dumb given your track record.
That FF is the best Ferrari I've ever seen. Glad you're proud of your purchase Hoovie!
“One of the dumbest Ferraris ever made…” Sounds just perfect for you, Hoovie! 😎
It's ironic to call it that because it's one of the most practical Ferraris ever made. All wheel drive, a usable back seat, and a sizable cargo area.
Dumb dumb me want gum gum that's Taylor 😅😊
I always loved how it looked. Hatchbacks and shooting brakes rock.
Hoovie! Great video. I am glad to see you back in new videos.
I think we can all agree that your smartest purchase ever was the Countach. But this thing is gorgeous too 😊
