I've seen others go thru it and it's gotten acrimonious and messy, and really the people that get hurt the most by that are the kids. If you can't be civil with an ex for your own conscience, do it for them.

You couldn't get me to buy or own a Bentley or Rolls Royce now. The fact is, at one time, if you drove either down the street, the 3 year old on riding his tricycle knew it was a Rolls Royce. And they were just gorgeous automobiles with a distinctive look feel and their own special touch. Though not really made for the driver, it still was comfortable. Now, like Jaguar, they look like any other car on the street. To me, that really is a sad loss.

I'm sure you're busy and bummed with everything going on, but I have to say, these videos seem like you're doing them just to get something out. I don't feel that you are interested in even making them, which I totally get. And that's totally cool, but just criticizing isn't useful, so here are some ideas: * Just do some cheap fun clunker rescues. I recall way back you ended up with some jag that was terrible and asked people if you thought it should be a "hoovie rescue", but then there was never any follow-up. * Make more ridiculous cars, I loved the cheap LX, the LS swap 911, the nitro Prius, those were super fun! * More with Doug! I love the videos you do with Doug, but why can't he do anything on your channel? Even a Zoom chat would be fun. * Do a "car chat" style video that Doug does. "Why is the market doing X", what are the worst quality and best quality cars. Etc.. Just sit in front of a camera with some notes and talk. * Do more collabs with the wizard. I find the details of how cars work super interesting, you could get into more of the mechanics and deep dives of he repairs and what's involved. * Talk about what's going on instead of dancing around it. I'm pretty sure your lawyer will allow you to say divorce, and you can express how you feel. I get not wanting to be public about or, or maybe it creates legal issues, but I think most of us would like to be let in a bit.

One of the reasons I dropped all my bimmers but my E31 (that currently has a procharged Toyota 1UZ 4.0L V8) is the community around tuning them is full of people that guard every single scrap of knowledge like it's a matter of life and death. It may be different now, but a few years ago when I was looking into it for an E46 all I got back was insults and bloated prices instead of any actual useful information. Meanwhile, I've never had issues with any of the JDM market guys. When I've been in Japan on photography jobs, I'd get invited out to the car meets and shops out in the sticks and everyone loved helping with everything.
The 2001 to 2002 Audi A8 D2 was the first car to ever be sold with the W12 engine. It was then used in the 1st generation VW Phaeton and then Bentley adopted it as their bespoke engine. Less than 1000 Audi D2 A8's were built using the engine and are very rare. Many probably don't exist anymore.

The on/off knobs for the A/C vents are referred to as "organ stops" after similar knobs on a pipe organ.

I have mixed feelings about the gimbal mount on your camera. Swaying fore and aft during acceleration and braking is neat, but when it's rocking like a boat looks like either the suspension is shot or the cameraman is motion sick.

I've been a fan for a very long time Hoovie, thanks for making these. I'm sure you're busy and bummed with everything going on, but I have to say, these videos seem like you're doing them just to get something out. I don't feel that you are interested in even making them, which I totally get.
And that's totally cool, but just criticizing isn't useful, so here are some ideas:
* Just do some cheap fun clunker rescues. I recall way back you ended up with some jag that was terrible and asked people if you thought it should be a "hoovie rescue", but then there was never any follow-up.
* Make more ridiculous cars, I loved the cheap LX, the LS swap 911, the nitro Prius, those were super fun!
* More with Doug! I love the videos you do with Doug, but why can't he do anything on your channel? Even a Zoom chat would be fun.
* Do a "car chat" style video that Doug does. "Why is the market doing X", what are the worst quality and best quality cars. Etc.. Just sit in front of a camera with some notes and talk.
* Do more collabs with the wizard. I find the details of how cars work super interesting, you could get into more of the mechanics and deep dives of he repairs and what's involved.
* Talk about what's going on instead of dancing around it. I'm pretty sure your lawyer will allow you to say divorce, and you can express how you feel. I get not wanting to be public about or, or maybe it creates legal issues, but I think most of us would like to be let in a bit.
Have you thought of putting the M57 diesel into the X6 and making it a proper non-M X6?

One of the reasons I dropped all my bimmers but my E31 (that currently has a procharged Toyota 1UZ 4.0L V8) is the community around tuning them is full of people that guard every single scrap of knowledge like it's a matter of life and death. It may be different now, but a few years ago when I was looking into it for an E46 all I got back was insults and bloated prices instead of any actual useful information.
Meanwhile, I've never had issues with any of the JDM market guys. When I've been in Japan on photography jobs, I'd get invited out to the car meets and shops out in the sticks and everyone loved helping with everything.

The 2001 to 2002 Audi A8 D2 was the first car to ever be sold with the W12 engine. It was then used in the 1st generation VW Phaeton and then Bentley adopted it as their bespoke engine. Less than 1000 Audi D2 A8's were built using the engine and are very rare. Many probably don't exist anymore.

About the X6, if you swapped the M Engine Computer Unit with the proper ECU corresponding to your non-M V8, would it solve the poor running issue ?
