Roll Over Lay Down from the album Hello! is the sixth studio album by the British rock band Status Quo. Released in September 1973, it was the first of four Quo albums to top the UK Albums Chart. It was also the first Quo album on which drummer John Coghlan was credited with songwriting.

Hi Thanks for the great video.Just got a question every time I play the start I just hear the E chord but I am strumming both of the strings.What could be my problem? I just have a Blackstar fly 3 watt . Speaker. Is it the speaker?

Hi Northman, I have re read what you wrote a few times and I think what you meant was not the E Chord but just the E note not the full E5 chord. I do hope this is what you mean. If it is that then the issue could be a slight muting of the A string with your fingers. I don't think it would be the speaker. Blackstar do make good quality amps even a 3 watts. Let me know if this is what you was meaning though.

@@Northman.56 We all started at the same point as you have. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy. Status Quo songs are great to learn and not to hard to get the song sounding close to the original. If you need any help don't hesitate to contact me.
@@GuitarMates Thanks.I just think (maybe I am slow) but for me you move your fingers pretty quick and I always have to stop many times and reverse it to see what you did.Its not critic but me probably been inexperienced.Thanks and I will keep watching.

@@somekindofmonkeyapprentice8697 right I am with you now. Then of course its possible. I get the same issue if I am doing a lot of tapping with my 2nd finger of my right hand. Steel string are always going to come of better against soft tissue on our fingers.
He means callouses i think?

Did the same mate, used to drive my folks nuts, had a tennis racket as a guitar.
Just let me just play it through...(twang) oops...just let me just play it through haha...made me laugh because multiply that by a 1000 times ( I should have said 45 hundred times) and thats me...dont think Ive ever played a song all the way through without making a mistake. Great tutorial...please do more Quo :-) Interested in your sound setup...Ive got the HT5r MK2 but struggle to get the Quo sound. Just wondering if you've any effects on etc.
What you meant to say was Rossi butchers the solo these days!
The quiet sound is completely wrong and most of the solo is too. Maybe try watching them play it live would help you
kevin evans its different when they play it life and i only know how to play the live version because i prefer its solo. It mostly just refers back to the riff
