  • After leaving the boat yard in Key West, we eventually landed at Port Sanibel Marina in Punta Rassa, just before the Sanibel Causeway. From there, we go re-adjusted to living on a boat at a dock again, before starting to knock out more overdue boat maintenance projects.
We thought we were going to close out another hurricane season, but Tropical Storm Eta decided to make an appearance near our coast.

In case you didn’t see it, We cruised 200 miles from Key West, to Marathon, to Fort Myers Beach with no steering! As you can see here, this trip was no fun, so we are fixing the issue to put this problem behind us.
This is not a how-to, especially because I screwed up pretty hard from the start, but you can feel free to enjoy for your personal entertainment. We took care of some plumbing odds & ends such as the guest head seal, and then we had to change course to prepare for the upcoming weather concerns.
11:16 Riding out tropical storm Eta, from our boat at the marina.
With family coming into town, we had to first deal with a tropical storm skirting up our coast. While we didn’t take a direct hit, we certainly had some strong winds and storm surge to contend with, as we had a big boat in a small slip on non-floating docks. In the end, all was well for us, and we carried on with some quality time with family.
Thanks for watching. We hope you enjoy the video!

Great video guys! I would love to see videos of in depth repairs you've done on your boat. Anything you feel like making a video about as it helps all of us. Thank you for your time making the videos.

Cardboard is your best friend for floors while in dry dock. Cheap, easy and it works.☮️

New subscriber considering #boatlife...ya mean boat life aint just all tropical fun and games. Lol 😂 I'm a land-lover in ATL and I'm feeling the call of the sea but further research is needed. Love the first few videos I've seen. Will be watching and liking.

I actually like boat projects. While they can be down right miserable, the feeling of accomplishment I get after they're successfully completed is great. I'd like to see a video from the footage with an explanation if you don't mind.

I have a new fear of hurricanes being we just bought a Cape Coral canal home. Hopefully, losing a boat in a hurricane is a once in a lifetime event and I’m over that hump already.

Agreed! It’s like living on the water is high risk high reward down here.
