@@mariop8101 It's entertaining through the whole race though which is more than can be said for the 1000 miles. I like that the two series does it in different ways. IMSA will always be entertaining/competitive while WEC will be more pure.
It might sound phony, but this is the most exciting motorsport championship I have seen since the late 90's, in any category I have watched. (Ok this is very subjective and a matter of taste, but still...).
I am lucky enough to have a job where I can have UA-cam running 8h per day and I can even follow the full endurance race, as if I was listening to the radio :) Keep it on!

As one of the many who had to make a choice between internet access, and cable TV, I thank you so much for putting this up on youtube where we can actually watch it. I don't miss all the crappy TV shows, but do miss my races in all the different types. The WEC / LeMans type cars are and have always been, my favorites.
Choosing between access to all of the collected knowledge of humanity, countless forms of entertainment, and communication with billions of people or being charged exorbitant fees to watch commercials is hardly a choice...
That Porsche vs Cadillac battle at around 50 laps is absolutely amazing. What a brilliant defensive drive by Vanthoor.

F1 PALES compared to WEC, ELMS and IMSA, and has for a good number of years now.
This is just a real joy to watch, cant wait for the rest of the races.

F1 is just drive slower and slower so you don't hurt the tires. It's a medium slow parade at best. I like that they upload the highlights so I can watch an entire race in about 6 minutes. Actually you can watch a whole race weekend in 10-15 minutes. The last 2 minutes of q1, q2, q3, the first 2 laps and the last lap.
F1 is still the lower quality race entertainment when compared to WEC, ELMS and IMSA.
But thats just my view. I did enjoy F1 years ago, but the last 5ish years have been dull imo.

Love endurance-races. The longer the better. Not only WEC. Would be crazy to recreate the Marathon de la Route on the Nurburgring-Nordschleife of the late 1960s, lasting more than three days for the race alone.

RIP GTE cars in North America. I'm glad to have watched these cars racing in IMSA and WEC since starting to watch in 2018. Peak was 2018-2019. Just so many manufacturers involved.
Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ford, BMW was awesome.. it was a awful luck we missed out on Corvette joining this battle. Larbe Competition had left a year or two earlier and Corvette Racing didn't start joining WEC full season till after BMW and Ford left.

@@ShawnFX Most people watch it leisurely, like if they need to go to the bathroom or eat they walk away and get back whenever and/or watch it in the background. I like to see all of it, but I watch it across several days of 2 hours~ each.
@@lucasironi5675 where i live you can't because the FIA sold the exclusive tv rights to all their sports to one broadcaster. So no fia streaming services work here. The problem is that broadcaster only shows F1.

Anyone else watch both races and notice that the imsa versions of the cars where way quicker on race pace and on many many occasions was doing the same lap times as Toyota did the day before the day before, the imsa versions were easily able to get into the 1:48s just like the Toyotas were on many laps
Didn't pay attention to Race lap times but easily explanation could be racing surface change between the two days. Different air/surface temperature, more rubber on the track, etc.
@@mafiabrett I believe it's more of the imsa teams actually knowing the cars, even in the heat of the day they were quicker, both Porsche and Cadillac wec teams both confirmed that they only got the cars in their hands about two weeks before the race. At every point of the weekend they were quicker, all of them were. They also looked better on track. Majority of the gap is the Wec teams not knowing the cars

I rather go to Miami and Hallandale Beach Florida and go shopping and hit the beaches than watch this live.
Why is the quality so bad for 1080p? It was as bad on WEC paid stream as well. It looks like an upscaled 480p stream.
