I watch this race there was no reason why Porsche couldn't won that race. Lawrence van thorn get out front of the race and checked out flawless and held the lead for a long amount of laps. When Kevin extra took over the car ask who he is as a driver known for driving flat out. I am a fan of Kevin Astra but my issue is he's better in GT3 getting to a hypercar is a different animal and setup. Kevin shown to be a very fast driver in GT3 racing the problem is with Kevin in hypercar yes I know he's new to it in the top class of Endurance Sports Car Racing. The problem is it takes more than just being a flat-out driver you also have to time your breaking and your Corners smoothly without slowing yourself down. I seen the mistakes he made after 24 hours Lamar. Because he overdrive the car which caused them to make mistakes. Hypercar regulations don't have the same downforce as the lmp1 cars did. Which means hypercars are more looser on the track because of lack of downforce. Here at Fuji Kevin overdrive the car into every corner also he's using up the tires faster because he's too aggressive in the corners and not making smooth transition through the corners. Because of this he calls himself to be slower per lap which has allowed Toyota catch him. So that being said he pretty much cause that lead to reduce in his hands because he overdrive the car. You have to be a smart driver other than just being aggressively fast but being fast does not Translate smooth transition to the corners. If Kevin's slows down and work on his cornerspeed better Porsche would have won that race.
Stupid BoP against Ferrari and against the show of a final season that could be much more intersting for the fans. Toyota has nothing to celebrate, this is not a deserved win ......
This was my first WEC live event and I have to say I loved, seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling the effect of Fuji Speedway. Definitely going for 3 days next year. ❤❤❤
This race is the epitome of Multi-Class Endurance racing. Anyone intrigued about the concept this is the race to show them. I see Rexy's hype dinosaur made the the trip to Japan. While in Japan in the United States Rexy's "sister" Roxy was racing in IMSA's Sportscar Championship at the GT race at Virginia International Raceway.

Please!!!! Stop focusing on the garage personnel when there is racing happening on the track! Every time there is an overtake happening you cut to shots of people in the garage watching. I don't want to watch other people watch. Way too much focus on pit lane.

Toyota clearly, clearly just has a faster car--maybe a BoP adjustment would allow their drivers to demonstrate their skill against more balanced competition. Watching the rest of the field fight was enjoyable though!

My first time watching a race like this on UA-cam and I'm honestly surprised. I was expecting a bunch of different camera angles mashed together but this a nicely edited and interesting. Editors need a raise for this masterpiece

A bit late to the party, I know. It's great that you post these up in full. That said, I feel like I should note, it's clear that the Japanese national anthem was cut from pre-race, and it seems like, even though the commentary was pretty smooth, that there was a cut in the 1st Formation Lap. Just wondering what happened there.
@@Christof_Classen In a slightly longer: Bits of the rest of it were quite exciting but the front of the field seemed somewhat ... banal, mundane, insipid, dull... by the time the rest of the field got to the 6th corner Toyota were already in their jammies sleeping soundly next to their latest trophy. Well, time has a way of dulling the sharpest blades (Think Merc. F1).

Why the heck did porsche pit early the first time when they had such a giant lead + they had more fuel/battery than everyone? Simple mistake? was there a strategy i'm missing?

Best racing is STILL GTE, man I miss GTE Pro. You can keep your LMP and Hyper, Le Mans and Endurance racing was and is, and will always be GTE
