Avada Kedavra when Dumbledore died.
I DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT IT JUST IS MY FAVOURITE SCENE!!!!🤣🤣🤣
There's one other you should've included in this! During the Chamber of Secrets deleted scene in the shop, there's a point where Draco and Lucius are there. Draco reaches for something but Lucius stops him using his cane. But he wasnt used to using the heavy metal cane and the fangs of the snake on it pierced into Tom Felton's wrist enough to draw blood. Though they just kept rolling with it knowing it would be good for the scene.

what i love about the awkward hug between draco and voldemort is that it seems possessive. in a creepy way that’s good for the plot
He would never hug anyone 🤦🏻♀️
I bet he thought it wouldn’t saber the one shot used
@@mabishop8034 He might if trying to parade his side as right.
No one ever said he actually gave a shit about Draco. I think Hitler kissed babies too. Doesn’t mean both aren’t sociopathic serial killers.
I think they meant hugging anyone is out of character for Voldemort in general. If you read the book and know the character well enough that is.
@@darkstraylily1477 it is a strategic thing for a leader to show false signs of kinship, to more easily indictrinate your subjects into subordination. It's the purpose of the us president shaking hands and kissing babies, because it makes him look like he's worth getting to know.
The Voldemort hug was perfect and terrifying. Once Draco started seeing the consequences of joining the Death Eaters, you can tell how much he regrets his choice. The hug sends the frightening message "I have you. You can't escape." Tom Felton's very real discomfort adds to that.
I'm the 100th like

The best thing about the rubber duck scene is how intensely he took that forkful of food right after
And the Ron looked at him after he said it. Made it look more real. He looked suprised.

My man literally pointed his tongue at his food before bringing it to his mouth xD
My MOST FAVORITE line of the entire Harry Potter series is improvised and from The Chamber of Secrets. It's the line that Molly Weasley/Julie Walters improvised after Ginny/Bonnie Wright says her scripted line, "Mum, have you seen my jumper?" And then Molly/Julie says "Yes dear, it was on the cat!" I DIE EVERY TIME that I hear it.
There's a cat hook tho...
@@ShortStuffMegs21 Yep, the cat hook can be seen just above the fireplace in other scenes eg when they use floo powder :)

My favorite unscripted moment was when Herminie decked Draco. It was suppose to be a fake hit, but she was off a little and actually hit him. The look on Draco face was real shock.
I'm pretty sure it was Tom who suggested that she actually hit him. There was an interview where it was mentioned.
@@xMrBlack Yeah. I heard someone say he meant to hit him, but just as her hand was about to touch his face, she stops, then hits so it doesn't hurt, but Emma didn't know that's what he meant.
I think Bellatrix licking the Dark Mark was the best improv of the series. It neatly introduced mental instability, devotion to V, and a bit of perversity.
The fact that rom Felton was 11 and can improvise that well is insane he is so talented
He was not 11 he was 14 -15 and btw it's Tom not rom
@@janhavinaik2017 He was 12; movies #1 and #2 were shot back to back, then there's a 2 year interval until #3.

Also, Emma's acting during the torture scene was so good that Tom, Rupert and Daniel ruined a take by screaming and crying out because they thought that something went wrong and Emma was hurt 😚🤭

Jason Isaacs and Tom Felton were amazing. Seriously, they added so much to their characters
They cast Draco Malfoy perfectly. I went to a small, liberal arts college for undergrad, and there were a few Dracos running around. He's got the rich snob thing perfect.
i always wanted to know whether that was actual laughter after “just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon”
Tell you what, that line was straight out of the book, so it can’t have been 100% improvised, but it’s still a good one.
It was really awkward and forced laught tho. 🤔💦
when I first watched it I thought it looked so fake like Emma's laugh especially
An other channel posted a video about "funny bloopers" and found out that it was a real laughter
@@HolisticLivingDownunder technically it is because the line wasn't used for the script of the movie and emma included it

I feel like Crabbe and Goyle were characters that deserve more characterization in both the books and films than they got. Also, Crabbe standing up to clap is awesome.
I agree, they should’ve done more with them.
They actually filmed similar scenes for most other movies where Crabbe would attempt to join the Gryffindors and Malfoy ends up hitting him, also Crabbe singing was a funny callback to that scene
I'd always known Lucius attempted the killing curse in that scene, and always thought it was odd (especially since it wasn't in the books) nice to know it was because it was the only spell the actor could remember after reading the 4th book lol.
8:32. When your mom wants you to give someone you met as a baby a hug

Straight facts
So true!
Also in the 6th film when Ron fell off the chair it wasn't scripted so Harry and Slughorn's reactions were real. I would have just burst out laughing how did they keep such a straight face?
Ikr
Voldemort hugging Draco always gets me😂 just the facial expressions and Draco not hugging back
Helena Bonham Carter is such a sweet human being and can play very weird and interesting roles. I adore her acting skills and her kindness. The fact she went and asked Emma they were still good after that scene is just so nice.
That "I didn't know you could read" scene was nowhere near what's in the book because the moment Harry turned into Goyle, his vision got all blurry since obviously, Goyle's eyesight is totally fine so wearing Harry's eyeglass would cause the vision to blur, Harry noticed it and took it off before leaving the bathroom and meeting malfoy.
Yes true! I think they changed it for the film as a way to help viewers know whose who.
True. But all the same, it was nice they planned it like that in the film, else we might not have got Tom's unforgettable improv 😂
Their voices changed in the books too but they kept them true to disguised character for the film so it wouldn't confuse any of the audience. Perhpas leaving the glasses on was a mistake...but this video referencing it as Harry forgetting to remove them is obviously wrong as he isn't really there lol :D
The reaction from Malfoy from the hug is exactly how everyone feels if they meet extended family who are always so happy to see you and give you a hug even though you have no idea who they are. The awkwardness makes me laugh and cry at what Malfoy must have felt. Man it was a good scene.
But by far I LOVE the i didnt know you could read scene. PERFECT
1:22 "Lucius Malfoy was a master improvisor" I didn't know the Death Eaters had a drama society
Never knew the “I didn’t know you could read” line was improv. Kudos to Felton for that. It was a hilarious line.
But the "feelings of a teaspoon" was in the books and Emma Watson just read the book and remebered that line 😂👍
Same with "whats the function of a rubber duck." It was towards the beginning of the chamber or secrets
@@chloetaylor790 true
Also the "natural laughter" hahaha I love all the actors but it's far from natural laughter

J.K didn’t have Evanna in mind while writing the book. Evanna was a fan of the books, went to a signing by J.K and told her about her problems with anorexia and how she wanted to play Luna. J.K told her to get healthy and then follow her dreams. Evanna got the part by auditions just like anyone else.
Actually, JK did say that she sometimes had trouble separating Evanna and Luna mentally when she wrote the last book. It's not that Evanna inspired Luna, but after Evanna played Luna, she was so similar to the character that she got inside JKs head when she was trying to write that character in the last books. There's an interview where someone asked JK if the actors ever affected her writing of the characters in the last books, and she said the only one that did was Evanna.
@@Sarawkweird Yeah, but that’s after she got the part. J.K didn’t know her until she got the part of Luna

Jason Issacs insisted on creating his own Lucius Malfoy after reading the books and seeing Draco perform. He had the voice of Malfoy ready from the first take and even recommended the long hair (it’s short in the book) so he could appear a long haired wizard with the opposite of Dumbledores personality!
He also said he wanted to get Draco some sympathy so he really put on the bullying.
I have always loved his long hair. I don't even want to imagine a short haired Lucius.
@@clear_as_day
There are quite a lot differences in the cast. In the books Ron is tall and slender and Fred and George are rather small and "chubby", in the movies it's the
other way round. I'm hearing the audio books all the time and i still have a hard time imagining a tall Ron or short Fred and George 😅
Voldemort hugging Draco made me think that he was showing the older adult onlookers how he collected someone so young for his cause-- an inverse of parental love. A sort of threat that said "Parents, I will steal and indoctrinate your children" sort of thing. The way he was pointing his wand at the crowd as he did it further enunciated his fiendishness in the matter. If that was the intended result of the improvisation, I'd say it's pretty damn clever.
I can't believe the line "I didn't know you could read" was improvised, that's the most Malfoy line ever either from the books or films.
Tom the part where he said “I didn’t know you could read” that line will be remembered forever lol
Did- did I just- di- did I just see VOLDEMORT WITH A NOSE?!

The part why Voldemort awkwardly hugs Draco I believe is the reason they didn’t keep the deleted scene where Draco runs past Voldemort and yells “Pottah” and throws him a wand. The moment when Harry was pronounced dead and goes to defeat Voldemort.
My favourite was when Tom Felton adlibbed that he didn't know Goyle could read. My second favourite is also Felton. When he stopped Crabb from getting up. It was so well done. I am surprised it wasn't in the original script

The fact that the best lines are totally improvised really showed how talented these people are..
"what is the function of rubber duck?" is still one of the funniest line for me
1:11 the thing I love about this Improvisation is that Tom grab him by his tie not hands or sleeve. That's what make it so convincing to me.
Evanna Lynch was basically the inspiration for Luna probably as much as it was the other way round. Rowling has even admitted that she had been talking to Evanna before she was cast as Luna and how she always thought of her when writing.
Rowling didn't know it was her when they were writing however
Luna Lovegood was Evanna Lynch’s reward for beating anorexia.
Tom Felton (Thomas Felton) is an amazing improviser. Though, his line was an obvious reaction, he forgot it and said 'I didn't know you could read.' instead of 'I didn't know you wore glasses'. Silly though cute
you are welcome if I helped for the scripted line :)

Luna is that weird cute girl that everyone doesn't know how to feel about at first but then everyone starts liking her and this whole thing just seems adorable to me
I know improv is a pretty common practice among actors but to see them (especially the kids) do it so well. Especially that scene between Lucius and Harry
2:48 Malfoy was never unstable

this scene was actually out of character
I was looking for this comment. He was never the impulsive type because he went by the principle that intelligence is demonstrated through a person’s reactions to situations, hence, he was always very calm and calculated.
