MTA Exclusive: Kawasaki R68A (G) Train

Wednesday, 02/05/2025, at 7:33 PM (19:33), MTA NYC Subway IND Crosstown and Culver Lines, this is taking an evening ride onboard Kawasaki R68A train car #5112 on a southbound (G) train (en-route to Church Avenue). This is traveling within Brooklyn, going from the Carroll Street to 7th Avenue Stations.
Along the way, this train stopped at Smith-9th Streets, and 4th Avenue-9th Street.
This particular R68A train-set was temporarily loaned from Coney Island Yard and operating the (G) line (alongside a variety of R46, R68, and R68A train-sets), as gap fillers due to some of Jamaica Yard’s R160s having flat wheels and being temporarily withdrawn from service. This is the First Time to see the (G) line operating again with older fleet, despite that the (G) line was reassigned to use newer fleet from Jamaica Yard back in October-November of 2021.
