- Wow... what a trip, we wrapped up the night with 16 flounder. Flounder gigging on the beach was amazing. Those fish fed a lot of hungry people in the neighborhood.

Awsome trip brother!!!!👍
T aht looks like fun both catching Reds and flounders. I wish i knew where to fish at night. I love fishing with my son. Usually when we do fish at night, we get run off the beach.
Gettin up early to watch the vid😄 love the vids!
I have a 4way at the bottom of my light, I have "ears" off each side that are 15" wide. 90% of the time they won't run and you get an accurate measurement
I really enjoy your videos, very professional and informative. Where do you fish out of mainly? I fish out of Jekyll several times a year.
Thanks Stan. I fish from Hilton Head SC to Shellmans Bluff GA pretty regularly.
If you don’t tangle a line, you ain’t fishing. Lol
Nice flounder. Filet and stuffed with deviled crab and baked to perfection is heaven on a plate.
Fish 🎣 on guys ✌🏼🇺🇸
I was raised in calallen TX. As a kid I always went to the back bay ,big shell Bob hall pier and JFK causway . I would us a old school lantern with tinfoil on the back makin it shine in front . I always filled bags up with flounder . So I made my gigs using a shovel handle . , one night a shadow about 3 to 4 foot long slowly swam up right between my legs I hand my friend my lantern and with both hands slammed it down just behind the head . It shook so violently it broke my handle . Scary , I've never seen a red fish that big . Had to be a shark . But it sturd up the water so bad we could see . Had a bag full of flounder already , so we got out . . I have alot of stories about fishing in corpus back in the 90s..some scary ones of me out after 2am on surfboard throwing bloody bait past second sand bar , very sharky . My garage was full of jaws. I haven't been bak to corpus since I was like20 Im 48 now . Been awhile good video, I miss it
Not being critical but what's with the three pronged gigs, especially on the beach? I'm 75 and I've never used anything but a single point gig and they've never let me down. My best night? 72 by myself.......way before the limits were in place. I could barely drag them through the water......lol
Take me next time you go ;) my friend in South Carolina has a company that specializes in gigging set ups and that is what he recommended. I did not lose one fish all night, and most of my shots were in the head.
It nice to see you making your gigs on or almost the head. So many time I’ve seen people just gig in the body which causes quit a bit of damage to the meat.
Are there any beaches you'd recommend for this in the southern tip of SC? Thanks
@@nickgiacalone4596 man the all hold flounder
Right on Dan! That pressure washer is the only way to scale a flounder.
Been thinking about getting out there to do some gigging myself soon. Nice video man
Great video!! Thank you for the tips and tricks
looks like great night can you guys get a cat fish pls
Ive done a catfish video too
I've been like 3 times and got 1 that weighed 3-1/2 lbs. I knew it was big enough buttoning back on it I'm pretty sure I passed on 2 of them because I thought they were too small. They were buried 1/2 way or a little less. Is there a trick to making sure they'll meet regs ?
Thanks
Looks like a great night! Keep the content coming!
Oh guys, what fun. Thanks for sharing.
Wade fishing! My kind of fishing!
Great video
What time of year was this in Dan?

Thx Dan
nice video! flounder gigging is the best!
The warm beam led seem easier on the eyes. Very interesting.
Where’s this at? Anyone know? I do a lot of floundering here in Biloxi. Water never looks that good though loll
No one will know. Lol.
Where are some good spots to try this at in sav
Any of the sandbars beachside
@@LowCountryFishing you think this could be done in Georgia, maybe on st Catherine's or tybee?
Nice video. Wade gigging is my happy place!
Just saw you drive by on post to check your boat. Saw your sticker so I decided to check out your channel. Good content man!
Thanks man. The channel is growing.
Good video Dan, that’s my dads brother. Danny is my uncle. Glad y’all had a good trip!
Awesome. He’s my soon to be neighbor.
Don't get any better
Thanks man
How do you compensate for the light refraction in water when sticking the flounder?
You don’t have to. The light doesn’t refract under water. I was just turning the light away because the cameras sensor was blowing out. Just keep the light under the water and you’re good for what we were doing.
@@LowCountryFishing thanks...I gotta try this!
