Great episode. The Bladnoch looks really interesting and not something I’ve tried before. Looking forward to giving it a go. The Bushmills 10 is a lovely easy drinking dram but some of those older expressions look super tasty. Great works guys
thanks for tuning in and glad to hear we've got your taste buds tantalised! definitely worth picking up some of those older Bushmills and I'm in a similar position to you with needing to explore Bladnoch more. let us know how you get on!
that's such a great tasting note Dan and definitely making me want to get involved more with Bladnoch. it hasn't been my favourite of liquids but in truth I haven't done a deep dive so I'll reserve my opinion until I get properly involved
That Caol Ila PC sounds terrific, I have the Cadenhead 11 yo & love it, but it is a 46 % abv & one year only in PC, so intrigued by your cask, and also by the other one...Hope they'll be distributed here some day....or anything from you...Cheers, Jake ! 🥃

Sherry and Cao Ila go hand in hand, sweet & peat is the way. Doubtful it’ll make it to Taiwan but I’ll cross my fingers nonetheless. I’ve tried a few Bladnoch’s, very unconvincing to me, and I think a bit over priced, especially when the age starts to climb. Bushmills are similarly guilty of extortion at the higher age statements. Does feel like some distillers are really trying to wring the consumer of much money as possible. Why pay 2 grand for a 30yr Bushmills when you can get a Glendronach Single Cask 30yr for like a third of the price? The math doesn’t sense to me.
we are looking at Taiwan quite seriously at the moment so stay tuned as you may well see us out there soon! I appreciate your point on pricing - bit of a tough pill to swallow sometimes. I suppose everyone has different budgets though so what seems like lunacy to us may make sense to someone else
