I’m interested in the genetic predisposition to autoimmune disease.. My mother has MS diagnosed 30 years ago and I was diagnosed with LADA 2 years ago at the age of 47. A very distant cousin on my mother’s side was diagnosed with T1 diabetes as a child but apart from that I don’t know of any other autoimmune disease in the family. Unfortunately I don’t have anymore info than that but evidently there is an autoimmune issue on my mother’s side (nothing that I know of on my fathers side).

I'm 18 years old and I have symptoms for more than 6 months (i pee every 20 minutes and wake up 5 times during the night , feeling extremely thirsty, i lost weight i was 110 lbs and now it's 92 even tho i am eating a LOT MORE , blurry vision somtimes , sleepy and tired all the time , i literally have no energy to do anything i can't even study or focus on anything , i always feel sick and really fast heart beats) but my parents won't listen to me , but i don't think i can survive for that long if i had T1D but the symptoms are getting worst everyday..

first of all thanks for the video .I am 21 years old from Morocco and I am diagnosed with T1D and the antibodies test is ^positive I am shocked because diabetes doesn't exist in my family even type 2 . but I think it's related to my mom's health when she gave birth . anyways I still control my blood sugar with diet and sport but I am wondering if there is a cure to stop these antibodies from killing the rest of my beta cells
for about a year I managed to keep my hba1c below 5.9 with low carb and cardio. I couldn't keep with this diet because I am young and My body needs carbs I started going to Gym and I see no results . I added Carbs and Gluten to my diet and my blood sugar levels spike again so in last 3 months I started taking Rapid insulin small dozes . and I never felt this good . I conclusion I thing cutting of on certain food is not the most practical way . and I think balanced diet is better. and Also .
