Only it isn't marillion...its Fish with his band...but that doesn't matter anymore because the music has long since trancended who originally played it...that is the beauty of this album...and the lyrical genius of this man...who by the way is one of the greatest vocalists Britain has produced...misplaced childhood is a classic one off album...peace ✌ ☮

Decent bit of Vidi cheers for posting. For the nay Sayers the original was 30 years since of course it doesn't sound the same. A real fan of the man would understand this.

saw him do childhood on the return to childhood tour 2005, its was totally amazing , this is great too, yes he cant get up high anymore, but he still tells the story just as well as ever , and he tells it in a way only he can , his new album is a masterpiece , all the negative comment givers should check it out , its like he has found his full voice again :)

Thanks for posting this. I saw two nights of the original Misplaced Childhood tour, but health meant I couldn't see this tour even though I really wanted to.

Stop trolling David Garcia, yes Fish can't hit the notes he used to ( time and health issues will take their toll ) , but FFS he wrote the music and has adapted, vocally in the best way he can, and I still thinks he's pretty fucking brilliant. I think most fans see past his limitations..

Agreed. At least he has the balls to do it. Most people would have taken the easy way and retired. Go Fish!

I always peferred low pitched singing over helium heroes. What annoys me is the loud singing form the audience.

Honestly, I'm more annoyed that the band failed almost entirely to emulate the sound of the original. This was from 2015. It's not that hard to buy gear that correctly reproduces 1985 sounds, especially for keyboards.

+Joseph Simmons From the 1985 Misplaced Childhood tour? Really? Is it "watchable", considering the weak technology back in the 80ties?

Especially the keyboards are on many places completely different (arrangements en sounds) from the album. I don't know if that was on purpose...but to me it sounds like they put little effort in playing the album properly.

I love Fish beyond words but what he's doing now is shameful. His voice is beyond dreadful now. He is tuning way down, still cant hit any notes above a basic middle C (always pulling the mic away from his mouth), and is still out of key even though they are tuned way down! But he keeps playing live and people keep paying to see him because he's "Fish from Marillion" and he'll keep taking their money even though he has NOTHiNG left in his vocal tank. He really should be ashamed of himself.

Every band from the 70/80ies key down they songs including top performers like Genesis or Toto. They are all approaching even passing 60. So nothing new here, let the fans descide if they wanna pay money for a concert.

Well, one band that does not do it is none other than... Marillion themselves. Neither does David Gilmour, not to mention King Crimson, who are probably tighter musically now more than ever.

David, F' you! We don't give a shit, it's Fish and they are his songs and we love them and he has the charisma and presence no one else can have singing these songs and he sounds quite good here actually.
