I totally understand how you feel living in a place you love, but nowhere near family/friends! I live in Spain now and LOVE it here but I know I’ll have to leave in the next few years to be closer to family/friends. Why can’t they just all move here instead 😅
When I was a child, I grew up in Australia for about 10 years and I haven't been back since, but I feel like that's where I would want to live. It's just such a lovely, kind, relaxed yet efficient country, with everything you could ever need (other than the distance from the rest of the world!). I would 100% bring my children up in Australia because I just loved living there so much. Or Canada, which has very similar vibes and lifestyle to Australia in my opinion. Both would just be wonderful! xx
haha funny you say that, im australian and ive been living in canada for 2 years! canada is absolutely my fave place but family are SO. FAR. you're right though, i like knowing that i have this safe haven to return to if i ever want to...although the seasons are comparatively really boring, and there can be a lot less job opportunities depending on your field, because of its separation from the rest of the world. that's how i ended up in canada :) edit: oh and the spiders are SO much less scary in canada 😂

Honestly the Ninja Foodi multi cooker is SO MUCH BETTER! It's a 5 in one, you get a proper air fryer (this is a normal fryer so uses more oil), a steam cooker, pressure cooker, and slow cooker. Best purchase of 2020, my whole family is obsessed, there's so much you can do with it. Xx
I live in Manchester for two years now and honestly I think it's a pretty good choice when it comes to price/town size/social life/etc. For me it's a small, affordable London with nicer people. Theres plenty of places to go to, billions of restaurants and cafes, galleries and museums, but it's still a nice and not too big city. There are several nice outskirt areas around the city, literally 20 mins away from the centre, for such good prices! Anyhow, loved the video and you seem like you are in a happy place&mindset and it's just so good to see that :) x
Why don't you get your car license. You can go where and whenever you want to. Especially in the world we live in now. No waiting for uber's, trains. So much easier with Nelly to.

Haha I also live in Warrington. I wouldn’t say I love it but I must admit the convenience of it being in the middle of Liverpool and Manchester is amazing and I struggle to think of a better location to live for that reason!

My happy place can be literally everywhere, as long as I am surrounded by my loved ones and nature. I currently live like 15 minutes away from some lovely fields and nature, and I wouldn't change it for the world! Plus, even though I live on a main road, I have a pretty nice view of fields and huge trees. Nature makes me so happy, it's my safe space
We are struggling with fungus gnats as well during the summer. Not over watering your plants will help also we spray Neem Oil on them and it saved us! Totally recommend

For the flies! We get a ton of those little buggers in LA. Put a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a bowl, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and poke little holes in the top with a pen.Then place the bowl in the room where you see the flies the most and give it a few days, you'll see them getting stuck in there. I usually leave the bowl out for a week before tossing the old stuff and refreshing. Hope that helps!
Put cinnamon on top of your plant soil , like bath it and I also do a light coat in the main pot and then I place the plant pot in back. It works. The gnats invade and kill the plants so terrible .
The little flies are fungus gnats! 🦟 I've tried changing soil, poisoning but they are really persistent (luckily harmless) but I've found the best way to decrease them just sticky yellow insect traps and placing them in pots! A safer option for pets also 🐈

Hey Gabbie, so to get rid of those flies, there’s stickers you can get on amazon called yellow stickers, which you can stick into the soil of the plant. the flies will stick and eventually you’ll get rid of Them. It is disgusting, but effective. Another option is getting neemoil and mix it with water and washing up liquid... but that one smells. But it’s natural and not bad for pets (compared to t he classic pesticides). Hope that helped :)
I totally get the wanting to be near family thing especially bc I live in a very big country (Brazil) and it takes so long to travel by car anywhere, honestly, I feel like if a trip is over 4 hours long by car I just feel really drained afterwards and feel like I can't enjoy the place I've gone to for a few days until I feel rested again! Also, my literal dream is to live in the UK, especially London, it's funny how for forever now I just have this feeling that I would be so happy there but it's not really easy to move to another country from an economic point of view and from an immigration point of view either, hopefully I get to visit someday tho!
100% my happy place is Worthing, myself and my partner are hoping to move down there from London within the next year or so.. London is just so busy and loud (even though we're not central) and everyone is always in a rush. To answer your question: I would choose S. Korea. Whenever I go to there to visit my relatives, I feel so happy and all the worries and stress in my life disappears magically. And I love the city-life so just walking around at day time with the cars and people around- it's great. And I LOVE walking at night seeing all the night lights from buildings- they instantly make me so happy. Also, the living situation and the subways and everything else-- it's SO affordable, easily accessible and the food is SO good.

My happy place is also brighton! I would love to live there. But I am up north as it's the only way I could afford to buy a house (the same house down south costs about 5x the amount i paid!!). My family all live on the sussex coast, so it sucks in that respect but I have the countryside here at least.

I've recently started watching Fleabag. It's such a funny show in my opinion it's quite quirky. I also like most people have been baking a lot during lockdown and I'm actually getting a lot better at it.
My happy place is the same as yours, but biting the bullet and moving there is something I haven't done yet because (same as you again) everyone I care about is up north. I'm still considering it for next year though. Just because I have so much anxiety in my home town and I know it doesn't help my mental health at all being here.

I havent travelled ever 🙈 but i think i would actually live in my home city just because its familiar and finland has the best school system in the world and i have lived in the main city of finland (helsinki) for 6 years and HATED it. Check and see if Sodium Laroyl sulfate is in the products that make you flare up, it's really bad for your skin and it's in so many soaps and stuff! Sodium laureth sulfate is far better for your skin :)

hah, i know what you mean! i live in montreal, canada (and have for 2 and a half years), and it's absolutely my happy place....but im from brisbane, australia which is a bloody. long. way. from home lol. we had scheduled a month off to visit our families for the first time in 2 years in march when covid hit... so THAT didnt happen...dont know when we'll get to see them now! and i have a young niece and nephew who i miss terribly :') it doesnt help that australia is freakin massive so our families live a20 hr drive from each other as it is haha. i absolutely adore montreal and have to be here for work, so i totally feel your pain about being torn between two worlds! 🤷♀️💖
I feel like they’re fruit flys and they come in on your grocery store produce and then they lay eggs in your house plants and drains. They’re absolute pests this time of year. There’s great sticky traps on amazon.

Driving is awful. But it gives a lot of freedom especially in these times.
You don't have to buy a car. Rent one when you feel you need to get away. I know how it feels to be stuck.

Some type of flys will disappear if you let the soil dry out enuff for a few days. Thats how i got ride of mine. It all depends on the type of fly.

My happy place abroad is Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. The whole island is dramatic but Playa Blanca particularly, I find calming and chilled

My happy place is Leeds, which I think you'd love too as it's close to Sheffield but not too close, very city-like like Manchester but human sized like Brighton! I moved to Spain for a year and could not wait to come back to Leeds 😅🥰
I am so late, but I love my hometown! I would live there again or...I've always wanted to visit Italy and Greece. Those places just look so beautiful and have so much culture. I think I would love it 💛
I dont have a happy place other than wherever my family is, i get so homesick without them and my hometown but its funny because when i visited Brighton i felt like i could live there safely and happily, not that i had ever considered moving before. Theres just something about that place.
at my old workplace we watered the plants and then used a little bit of washing up liquid in some water and added a little at the top and it used to work and apparently doesn’t harm them
My happy place is Bournemouth. It’s a place I use to holiday to when I was little with my parents and Grandparents. And I honest just love that place! I’ve always said when I’m older I would love to move there xxx
Okay, my happy place (besides my hometown bc friends and family) definitely is Galway in Ireland! Even though I haven't really lived there (3 months as a student) I always feel like home 💚

Hey Gabbie! I'm Brazilian, but I lived in London for 6 months in 2014 and that became a happy place for me. Unfortunately, it's not only very far from BR, but also very expensive and quite difficult (legally speaking) to live there.

My happy place is also brighton! I would love to live there. But I am up north as it's the only way I could afford to buy a house (the same house down south costs about 5x the amount i paid!!). My family all live on the sussex coast, so it sucks in that respect but I have the countryside here at least.
My favourite thing to do on a Sunday is just have a lazy day and have a long warm bath 🥰my happy place wales haha I would love to be there permanently

My happy place is the same as yours, but biting the bullet and moving there is something I haven't done yet because (same as you again) everyone I care about is up north. I'm still considering it for next year though. Just because I have so much anxiety in my home town and I know it doesn't help my mental health at all being here.

I've never been there, but I dream of moving to France some day. Of places I've been, I'd love to move to Boston, but it's expensive and would be far from my family and friends. I would also probably be wanting to move back to Florida in the winter. Haha

I feel your pain about not living close to family. We’re a military family and out of the 10 years my hubby’s been in we are now the closest we’ve ever been to family...8 hours away. Some day when my hubby retires we’ll move back home.

I havent travelled ever 🙈 but i think i would actually live in my home city just because its familiar and finland has the best school system in the world and i have lived in the main city of finland (helsinki) for 6 years and HATED it. I think im not a big town girl after all. I love the nature here and the lakes and i wanna put my kid to a good art kinderkarden. Ugh if i only could buy a 3 room appartment in the centre i would be sooooo happy.
Check and see if Sodium Laroyl sulfate is in the products that make you flare up, it's really bad for your skin and it's in so many soaps and stuff! Sodium laureth sulfate is far better for your skin :)

hah, i know what you mean! i live in montreal, canada (and have for 2 and a half years), and it's absolutely my happy place....but im from brisbane, australia which is a bloody. long. way. from home lol. we had scheduled a month off to visit our families for the first time in 2 years in march when covid hit... so THAT didnt happen...dont know when we'll get to see them now! and i have a young niece and nephew who i miss terribly :') it doesnt help that australia is freakin massive so our families live a20 hr drive from each other as it is haha. i absolutely adore montreal and have to be here for work, so i totally feel your pain about being torn between two worlds! 🤷♀️💖

I feel like they’re fruit flys and they come in on your grocery store produce and then they lay eggs in your house plants and drains. They’re absolute pests this time of year. There’s great sticky traps on amazon.
