    Jimmy Kimmel’s team has really been on a winning streak with their music guests lately.

      I’ll be honest I haven’t seen much but it’s always sick when I see a band I love being given that spotlight

      @ I feel this. I admittedly only just got into Knocked Loose this past year. I was seeking new music from bands who had ethics and politics similar to my own, and Knocked Loose was recommended. I’ve never listened to music that’s as heavy as what they make, but I can’t get enough of it. Also subscribed to your channel, great energy.

      Well I’m glad you’ve discovered them now! Better late than never and plenty more bands to listen to. I recommend Poison The Well if you enjoy this!
      Also thanks so much! Hope you enjoy what’s to come

    What about Jools Holland as a platform for weirder music? I’m not from the UK so I’m not super familiar with your tv landscape, however I was a big fan of the punky trad folk group Lankum so made an effort to find a copy of their performance to watch. It was because of that I discovered Sleaford Mods, who were also guesting on the show at the same time. Sleaford Mods are pretty huge now, but it’d have been Jools which really kickstarted all that I think. Lankum I don’t listen to as much anymore but they seem to still being pretty well for themselves too.

      I agree wholeheartedly, Jools was very influential in the 90s-00s, however personally for me I never really watched much of him except for the annual New Years Eve show. Maybe it was a mix of him being on a bit too late when I was a child and by the time his show moved, I had only just turned 16/17 so I was still quite young in music exploration. He's definitely a champion for upcoming artists though and showcased his fair share of indie and rock but I can't find many examples of something as heavy as Knocked Loose or Slipknot. Would love to know if there are any though, would love to check it out 😄

    Peel sessions, with Carcass, Napalm Death and even Agathocles is the British version

      I discovered Peely when I was banned from listening to my records while studying for exams and my mum said I could put the radio on if I needed background sound. Switched it on to Peel saying "...and now some Extreme Noise Terror..."
      I was flabbergasted to say the least.
      My mum came charging into my room about 5 seconds later.
      Nah, it's the radio, honest!

      @@everydaymadnesseveryday In my country the metal radio show was midnight later on changed to 1am, but i think was friday so i could listen to it. i remember writing the names of the bands to find more about, because was Open radio was dominated by power metal and trash metal, but had some gems in it. But in 2003 i got decent internet and could find exactly what i liked.

    It’s a sell out imo. I’m sorry

    • @Drluciferwoo
      @Drluciferwoo 2 дні тому

      I disagree. Selling out is when you change your sound to get popular. KL has not done this. Getting bigger and making money off what you do ain't seling out. Good for them. Should they struggle for the rest of their lives? If you don't like them, that's fine. Move on.

    • @laaaaaalaaaaa7699
      @laaaaaalaaaaa7699 День тому

      @ who said I didn’t like them? All I said is that it’s sell out behaviour because this isn’t what Hxc is about. This is the exact reason why HXC gets ruined by the masses. They fully start calling out moshing, crowd killing etc because they have zero clue of what is happening. It’s an underground genre for a reason. Not to mention HXC wasn’t started for mainstream exposure. It was started due to it being anti establishment

    • @marcotejada1498
      @marcotejada1498 6 годин тому

      You're wrong. But also what exactly is wrong about selling out? The whole point is to "make it" right? Make money and be successful getting your band out there.
