Great belts here Grant! Enjoy.
I got my winged eagle from Classic Shields a week ago and it’s amazing. The plates were cut with skill and precision and the leather work was excellent. There was a guy on these forums calling himself “Naitch” saying the plates are a butcher job, he shouldn’t comment unless he sees one in person.
That BG...
Gorgeous 😩
Nice!!!👍🏼
Man I sure hope mines doesn’t take much longer. Purchased in April!!! I agree 1000%man. Communication could improve, and ETA could be a bit more accurate. Hope it comes before Christmas 🎄 🤞🏾
3 weeks later and still no word! No eta. Not even a response to a email. Man I tell ya🤦🏾♂️
Finally received mines man. Check out the vid I dropped yesterday. Hope you don’t mind the shout out I gave you.
Winged eagle is the GOAT
Yeah that's definitely an all time great championship. I own the wwe shop version of it and I'm getting the classic wm 4 that has WWF logo on it
That's the best Big Gold replica I've seen.
Thanks man, I definitely consider the Classic Shields big gold to be the best one money can buy
Very well known fact they have the best BG on the market
Grant Latta how can I buy a wingled eagle classic shield belt ? Their website is so confusing 💀💀 it’s not like fandu or wwe shop
@@glennjackson9672 Call them.
glenn jackson you can message them on facebook
Looking to get winged eagle been talking to them about purchasing looked around and classic shelids is what I'm going for.. so far seen great work..
Absolutely, you’ll be thrilled.
I put the down payment down today for both those belts! So they sent you a relief crown? How’d you affix it? Also they’re sending me 2 name plates, how do you attach them? Are there screws in the back?
I just superglued the crown. There may have been a better way to go about it, but it worked just fine. You likely won't need one, I'm pretty sure they're making all the crowns with the silver spade and squares now. As for the nameplate, my guess is that since you requested two, that they'll be attached with double sided tape, but I can't be sure. Mine WAS permanent, it was attached with screws but the backing covered the screws. I replaced it recently because the gold coverage wasn't very good on the original. It required me cutting small holes in the backing, removing the old nameplate, covering the holes with small screws and washers, and attaching the new nameplate with double sided tape. It sounds awful, but it looks like a million bucks. You'd have to ask them how you'll be able to switch out the nameplates when you want to, I'm actually kind of curious now that you mention it.
Hey Grant, I was just wondering what kind of marker you used for the autographs on your belts? Do oil based paint markers yield the best results? What is the pink marker you used for Bret’s autograph? Thanks!
The pink is a sharpie brand oil based paint pen, it worked great. The others are just metallic sharpie marker. The regular sharpies don’t show up, but the metallic ones work great.
Grant Latta thanks Grant, I want Bret to sign mine with that oil paint marker 😃
How long did it take for the winged eagle to reach you from the time you ordered it Grant?
Mine took a year, but it was during an unusual time in their process. A buddy of mine got his in 4 months.
How much do they charge for the winged eagle?
Could you elaborate on what the defects are on the Winged Eagle, as you mentioned in the vid? I can't seem to find the flaws. Thanks
Good ;-) There are a couple of tiny spots where the gold didn’t cover the silver on the main plate, a couple of small discolored spots on the sideplates and tip, and a small spot on the edge of the strap that’s a little misshaped. None of it is obvious, so I was happy to take the discount instead of waiting for a perfect one.
@@donnylovedbowling You would have been waiting a long time. Not even Reggie Parks (especially at this stage of the game) understandably so, makes a “perfect” winged eagle anymore.
Do you have SD or HD hand crafted plates on your winged eagle?
I think classic shields makes a slightly enhanced version of the original Crumrine big gold belt. I love the original Crumrine but there are certain things about the classic shields version that seem s bit more pronounced than that of the original.
How much did the belt cost and usually take to receive it?
Is your big gold belt on the tv/ring accurate burgundy colored strap?
Yep
@@donnylovedbowling thank you for answering me and very nice it looks so hella good on a burgundy strap congrats
Putting signatures on a CS is like ordering a Peter Luger's steak and putting A1 on it. But to each his own. The Crumrine is amazing.
Ya know, I think I’ve actually come around to your thinking on that. I don’t think I’ll be getting many signatures going forward.
When they sent you out the new relief crown how did you secure it to the main plate?
Super glue, I think.
@@donnylovedbowling, thanks for letting me know. On the 2015 spinner replica the champ & Eagle banners sit above the main plate on little posts & I hate it. I'm toying with the idea of cutting the posts off & somehow securing the banners directly to the main plate. I'm trying to figure out how belt makers secure relief pieces to the plates. Ie, is it some kind of welding process, or maybe some kind of chemical adhesive process.
Hey Grant, I’m looking to purchase a winged eagle from these guys. I noticed the word “world” juts out on yours as a relief piece, is that accurate to the real thing? Thanks!
There were many different versions of this belt over the years. Some of them had the relief world banner, some of them had it etched directly into the plate. If you don’t specify, they will etch it into the plate. It’s just a personal preference thing.
Grant Latta do you prefer the relief banner? Thanks for your time!
Grant Latta further, do you recall the turn around time from when you ordered it?
I do prefer the relief piece, it just looks more ornamental to me. And it took about a year for me to get my belt, but you probably shouldn’t go by that, I think it was an unusual circumstance for them. A buddy of mine ordered his a couple of months ago and they’re almost done with it. So who knows.
Grant Latta thanks buddy
My only gripe is the WORLD relief plate. I just don't like that sticking up, but its so beautiful. You have 2 beautiful titles there. What happens to them in the future? (If you pass away, or something?)
I love the relief world banner. They actually completed the plates without the relief piece, and when they sent me pics of it and I asked about it they said “Is that necessary?” and I said “Absolutely.” I just think it makes it look even more ornamental.
Your question is a strange one, haha... If I die, I suppose I’d leave them to my dad if he’s still alive. If not, I’d probably just leave them to my wife so she can sell them. They have a ton of signatures on the back.
Belts not titles
@@MrNWA4Life Championships pal. We don’t call them belts anymore.
@@dightonazpeitia4350
Who's we? Stop parroting Vince McMahon. It's a BELT.
@@MrNWA4Life Hey pal, they are championships.
One question if you dont mind me asking how much is the low budget BG and fully loaded BG?
I honestly don’t remember, I only briefly considered the low budget. You’d need to ask them.
@@donnylovedbowling thanks
Can you request the silver spade and the squares to begin with when you order? Also I don’t see the winged eagle on their site, how much does it cost? I wonder if they offer an all gold winged eagle? Thanks, Mark.
They actually do them like that every time now, since it was pointed out. And don’t go by their website, it’s really out of date. Look them up on Facebook, they post pics all the time. And yes, they make a fantastic all-gold winged eagle, in fact they just posted pics of a new one recently.
Grant Latta how much does a winged eagle go for?
Grant Latta I don’t have face book
You can email them at classic.pak@gmail.com
Grant Latta did your winged eagle cost a lot?
Can you post a link for classic shields ?
m.facebook.com/classicshields/
When naitch signed your belt did he say anything about it?
Nah
is the winged 3mm or 4mm?
Mine is 4. I’ve heard some folks say the original was 3. If I had a magic wand, I’d make my big eagle 4 and my winged eagle 3.
Can I ask how much the winged Eagle is
I'd recommend emailing Classic Shields or messaging them on Facebook for pricing.
How much was the winged eagle?
I honestly don’t remember, they gave me a discount but i don’t remember how much it was. I could probably find it in my messages, but i wanna day I got it for like 550 or something like that.
@@donnylovedbowling Doesn’t sound like you got the HD hand etched plates. I know those go for over a grand now.
Artwork and plates are great from cs however there communication waiting times and leather could be improved
Agree 100%
Wanted to know what classic shields use to make their big gold.. and also way is the makers of Crumrine a 5 year wait but Classic shields is only 4 to 6 months?
I’m not sure I follow your question. I don’t think Crumrine would even make one of these anymore. They’ve only made two ever. The original, and one for a guy named Teddy Srour. Dave Millican made a cast of that second belt, which he uses to produce his, and the wait time for that one is probably several years because he’s Dave Millican, he’s the best. Does that answer your question?
Yes that answers the 2nd part. A cast huh? I was asking is the Classic shields made out of REAL gold or is it gold plated over zinc... I ask cause I saw another Guy saying his classic shields big gold was a REAL gold Ric Flair version.
@@donnylovedbowling sorry. Forgot. The guys on UA-cam under Satchel McQueen......Real Ric Flair belt
It's zinc plated with gold. Not even the original was solid gold, it was silver plated with gold.
@@donnylovedbowling thanks you've been very helpful. I placed an order for one. I was just a little scared sending my money all the way out there not seeing one up close
Hi! How much did Flair charge for the autograph? Thanks!
It’s been a few months, but I wanna say $50.
How is the quality of their leather work?
It's not the level of Romeo Anderson or other greats, but I think it's still really good. I'm thrilled with my big gold's strap in particular. If you have the time and patience, I'd recommend going with a leather specialist, but if you don't want to mess with it, then I think you'd be very happy with a Classic Shields strap.
@@donnylovedbowling thank you. I'm in the UK and a Paul Martin strap for a block logo big gold is mega expensive.
Their plates look amazing with their new hd etching so I'd hate for the strap to let the team down lol
I think they've made advancements in their strap production, so I think you'd be just fine!
@@donnylovedbowling amazing thank you. Just have to make sure I get the colour TV accurate
What were the flaws on the Winged Eagle?
A couple of tiny spots where the gold didn’t cover completely, and a small cut on the strap. Both are very minor.
