- How do you really use a pull buoy? A pull buoy is meant to be used to keep your legs still, so you can train your pull. However, a lot of people use the pull buoy just as a flotation device to keep their legs high. We have listed three common mistakes that can be made if you use a pull buoy the wrong way.

I've been doing it wrong for about a year! I position mine to high. So glad I watched this.
Very clear, excellent video!
Thanks for that! I was putting the buoy all the way up, hehe.
me too. With this video now I know how to use it...thanks
Me too ☺️☺️didn’t know it was a mistake..!
Me too, but I dont kick with the buoy up that high so I dont see a problem with a high placement if no kicking is being done.
@@jeenjeanjeen I saw another video where the pull buoy was placed high specifically to help in doing proper form for flutter kicks. It shows the pull buoy is not just used for only one task, like in this video.
There are multiple videos from the channel GoSwim, that show different exercises using the pull buoy.
Thanks! This is helpful.
One part of a pull buoy is larger than the other. Which part faces down in the water?
The large part faces the water. Shout out to the channel Global Triathalon Network for addressing that in their video

Odd part, is they place the pull buoy too high, and not just above the knees.
I have such a hard time keeping my legs together when trying to kick which leads to snaking and using too much effort. I’m going to try putting it at my knees but keep my core engaged. I hope it helps. I try to stay positive about it but it just feels like it’s not getting any better. Thanks!
Very helpful. does it mater if I use a 1 piece pull buoy or a 2 piece/ adjustable when doing these drills?
Is it permissible for me to kick with my feet with this utility
Is Big side up.
No, the big part is facing the water and downwards. It is to prevent slipping between your legs.
Lol I was doing all the wrong things 🙃
