I like how everyone says something about Syn having sustanic pickups in his guitar yet pretty much all modern day artists use autotune.I would rather listen to something that would let him sustain a note for a long period of time than listen to a robot.
I haven't heard many bad comments about the sustainiacs....Seems cool to me.
Ash Katchum the sustainiac just adds some pretty cool stuff to your playing. The most it can do is simulate amp feedback as well as holding a note, if you wanna hit a pinch harmonic it won't do it for you xD

I learned something new. I didn't know the entire Afterlife solo was picked. Also it makes me feel better that even Synester gates himself struggled playing it, cause its the hardest solo I know.

I don't know. I can play the Afterlife solo and it sounds good hammering on the notes I can. But its mostly sweep picked and its hard as hell.

He pushed himself so hard, he could have half assed those solos, but look at him now, the only other guy that can hang with Syns level of playing is maybe Yngwie Malmsteen or John Perrucci and Steve Vai on their shreddiest days. Zakk Wylde on his most technical work maybe. Syns an Icon now, he can put out a solo record on a guitar that only had a B string played through a line6 practice amp and its gonna sound incredible.
