- Hi guys, I just wanted to make a quick video to try and stop people panicking about the videos appearing today.
I've had problems with Fanatec's customer services myself, see my customer service playlist for all the info, but I still think their products are pretty good.

Well I have pulled the plug on a FanatecDD extreme I have always wanted a Fanatec for a very long time since having a Logitech G 29. I was very lucky to grab a new one in the UK from a retailer at the last one so don’t have to wait for the long wait time/shipping purchase I played on my friends one and it was amazing and loads of people have told me to avoid the company, but I want to give them a chance hopefully I will have a great experience and then in future will buy more products

You know what... I have struggled with this. I have not really been buying any new gear because of it, but... You know what I think you all should panic. I think you should panic and sell me your fanatec gear for like... half off because after all it's useless now. I'll take one for the team here.

I was literally going back and forth deciding between a simucube vs. fanatec setup.. I think I just made my decision^^
That said.. I still think Fanatec created some amazing products and I really hope that the company and most of it's core members will recover form the current situation at some point!
Sooo... that's gonna mean I'll go with a SimuCube 2 Pro for my first wheelbase after the T300 that im using right now.. Im so excited though!
That’s gonna be an awesome upgrade. I’ve had mine for 7-8 months and couldn’t be happier.
So my 4090 and I9 13900k are on a timebomb…my Fanatec gear is coming useless. You buy the best gear cause you need a peace of mind since your aim is to enjoy your hobby without any interference and then all this…

100% Agree.I have a Fanatec wheel base and don't plan on selling. I would like to upgrade it at some point tho
I brought fanatec CSL DD and pedals with Mclaren GT3 wheel rim this morning, before i knew about everything. I know it might take a while but fanatec is great and i don’t plan on cancelling my order.
Got my bundle in a total of 4 business days two weeks ago! Have faith if you’re in the U.S., should be rather quick.
You should get it. It would suck though if you get no gear or your money back.

I still have my five year old Clubsport 2.5 wheelbase and I am buying an ESport v2 wheel this week. In my experience nothing goes away and dies completely. It just goes down to a bargain price till someone sensible pulls the trigger and picks it all up from the ashes again. And the other thing I have learned in life is that you can have the best people making the best possible decisions based on what is known at a given time and even they can be caught out down the track through circumstances beyond their control and poor decisions made by others and then things go pear shaped.
That’s still a great wheelbase even today 👍

I would be worried if I just bought some expensive stuff from them or if I had a backorder or something. I do own a set of CSL V1's for ages now and absolutely adore those. I was planning to get the V2's if my old set needed replacing but I guess I might have to look elsewhere if that day comes.
It's a real shame though. I think they boomed too quickly during the pandemic. Also Moza did them dirty by stealing their designs and then flooding the market. And then the whole thing kinda just imploded. I hope all the people who work for Fanatec get through this and end up in a better situation soon. Fanatec was instrumental in changing the sim racing landscape. They deserve better then this.

Im currently in a disaster of a situation with customer support and a rma on my podium dd1 f1 wheelbase. The new drivers bricked my original one and i started the rma in january. I finally got a brand new dd1 f1 in may. Opened it up and the motor shaft just spins rapidly. Tried everything but keep getting max rotations exceeded error message. Emailed fanatec they got back to me in beginning of june. They said would i like to send it back to workshop i said yes. Its now august and they havent replied. Also they sent my brand new qr2 back to me as i left it on my original wheelbase and it got damaged in post because they sent it back in insufficient packaging, plus they didnt send my original length screws back so i couldnt fix it to my new wheelbase. So im left with a brick and i havent been able to sim race at all. I literally dont know what to do. They ignoring me and now this! Im absolutely fed up with it all, its ruined my hobby. I know you went through something similar. I wish you could help me.
Oh mate I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Your experience is so similar to mine. The only thing that made them get a move on in my case was when I made the videos about it. I wish I could do something to help you.
One thing that might work is to share your experience on their social media and tag them in everything you post. Look for their adverts on Facebook and tag them in the comments. It’s absolutely awful the way you’ve been treated.
@dannymoffatsimracer yes I watched your videos about your experience, and I felt so sorry for you. I could see it in your face how you felt you just looked so depleted. Ironically, I'm going through the exact same thing. It feels like I'm lost in the mass of emails and problems people are having and there is no priority system, it's been 7 months without a working wheelbase I should be getting better than this. Especially when my ecosystem is all fanatec and costing over 3500. I dont feel like they care tbh. Thanks for your advice I'll see if I can make my story known. Just a shame I have to resort to something like this to get support. Glad your enjoying your new setup, May have to consider simucube.
I agree. People should not panic but their should not be buying Fanatec products in the near future until Fanatec future is confirmed.

Legit been looking for a wheel for the last 5 months and finally decided to buy the csl dd 5nm bundle and ofc this happens
I just bought it, what will happen will happen it will take at least a year to sort out and the hardware is still good. Even if they go under it will still work and everyone stopping purchases isn't exactly going to help them carry on.

I loved my fanatec clubsport v3 pedals just sad they stopped working properly so was looking at gran turismo dd pro for ps5 and pc but now I’m not sure about it with all this
I’d say wait a bit to see where this goes.
@@dannymoffatsimracer problem is left paddle on g29 only works when it wants to an driving lmp cars on gt7 stick shift im losing time an getting frustrated that’s why was looking at fanatec cause when those work they last more than 5 months

It’s a great base, I’ve had one for a long time and no issues.
People should have never purchased their predatory business practices and asphyxiating closed ecosystem, but now of all time in history people should absolutely avoid the brand. Fanatec killed themselves lol
One thing about Dan after knowing him a very long time , when he says he’s researched something he’s gone over countless articles

That’s exactly my point with the clickbait released yesterday. There was other videos claiming Corsair was out but nobody actually knows what’s going on with them until they announce something

Too big a name and too big a user base for someone like Corsair to miss gathering up on the cheap. The equipment will remain supported, built & sold and maybe...just maybe, a bigger peripheral company with a lot more experience will be able to sort the customer support issues.

They definitely are!! And always have had horrible service!
Corsair backed out because others decided to muddy the waters. Who wants to buy a product when you might end up in endless lawsuits,
I considered buying fanatec gear for a long time. The products all have issues, and the company itself seems to be a shit company. The logical thing to do, would be not to buy equipment from this company. That's what I have done.
Sell your fanajunk gear now before it’s worth nothing! Move to a real eco system there is moza,simagic,simucube and Asetek! Those are the only 4 worth buying from and to be honest moza and simagic keep drop new items while other companies just sell add ons for wheels they let you down on for an arm and a leg anyways.
