The end of an era? An era I am glad to be beyond. Poki once was ok, but whether it was her writers or actually her changing, she got worse and worse over time, showing how conceded she actually is. She like others claim to be so virtuous and fair, and only to find out they are actually the worst people of all.

Pokimane was fine but then overtime she just gets more entitled to the point where she thinks only for herself, not to the people around her. But congrats on her quitting, is good to be off the shiet show. I rather not watch her or read her counter arguments since it's all biased.

@@HaveAHeartAnimalSanctuary its not so much as excusing people in higher places, its more like "this person has agreed that their job will be painted online for everyone to onlook, lets see what we do with that", and people didnt like how twitch always had her back in everything which wasnt on even grounds to other streamers, so her "harmless as a daisy" attitude came across as snide and cruel to them, so they "punish" her like how they think twitch should, similar to roman reigns in WWE, then people see the mob, want to feel powerful and join in

I don't know why streamers think they are the only ones who get harassed, insulted and attacked while at work. Try having those people be directly in your face and you can't say anything back without losing your job.
That's why I'm self employed if my more experienced guy who I consider my boss pisses me off enough he knows I won't be afraid to quit on the spot. I've done it before and I'll do it again
Need to put him in his place sometime times since no one will work with him since he acts like an asshole and last time I quit 6 months later he couldn't stand working for someone else and not with someone who knew. He's getting better slowly but again some days I just tell him to piss off and don't talk to me. He's gotten us kicked off jobs because of his attitude with builders and I ream him out since that's alot my living He's messing with. His bloody dad won't even work with him anymore and his dad was worse when he was younger xD. Not sure why people act rude at work since its counter productive and just ruins friendship. I refuse to go drinking with him anymore because of how he acts. Being self employed is annoying but so worth it if you can get through it without having to be at a beck and call.

If this is about what hasan said then ur very wrong, he did tell u reasons from cyber stalking to alot off other stuff, and actually twitch partners has contracts that force them to stream sometimes 50+h a week to keep thair partnership, even if a streamer feels like crap certain days they are basically forced to stream atleast a couple hours each day cuz off contracts, this is the reason many off them takes time away sometimes but taking time away from twitch is bad for ur income, as u lose alot off ur subscribers when u take time away

Here's the best conspiracy theory I heard (so far) about pokimane leaving.
She's pregnant. And they decided to keep it. But knowing her brand would probably not recover from showing up with a belly, it was decided for the "no drama i'm quitting streaming". Shortly to be followed with burnout PSA's for streamers, and keep that going. So after a year or two of maternity leave, announce a return. And with the hype, recover all the money she'd lose by donations\subs on that stream.
If true, is this the smart move? Absolutely. She knows her viewerbase. She knows her big donos would stop if it was not only proven she was in a relationship, but a mother to be. Would that be fair? Also no. But that's the image she cultivated for years.
Personally, idgaf about this streamer, or any other streamer. They're running their hustle, and they know what works for them. Are they contributing anything of value? One can argue entretainment value can be classified as that. Others could argue that if it doesnt help shape mankind on a better path, no. But since barely anyone can state they've helped mankind on bettering themselves, who are we to say? To me, it's nothing of value. To others, it could be. All that being said, cant say i'll miss her, as she is not one I watch.

So if leaving OTV because the contract ended was the reason, she'd would have left last year. That she didnt. @@TheCodeTurtle The amount of words you used to call someone stupid proves how dumb you are. not going to lie i do work manual labor however im also a nerd and im online everyday after work for hours and hours on end. gaming and streaming are not hard jobs in any way shape or form, finding content is the hardest part and usually all you have to do is play a game. (hasan pays editors for youtube...) If you would take a second to think for yourself (critical thinking) and actually list the difficulties of a high labor, certificate required job like an electrician/plumber/onsite wielder (all require 3-4 years in tradeschool due to life/death situations/avoidance and knowledge to avoid death) and compare it to streaming you'd arrive to the same general conclusion that almost anyone with more than a double digit iq would come to.
