Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Nuclear Disarmament [Hidden Cutscene]

- This is the no nuke video. To trigger this cutscene, u need to disarm every single FOB nukes. Good luck with that.
Kojima - "SOMETHING THAT CAN ONLY BE DONE IN VIDEO GAMES" (lol)
I found this cutscene in the game files. People aren't suppose to get it this early, no one has gotten it naturally because no one bothered going after nukes that much.
A Guide to unlock Chapter 3: Peace i.imgur.com/8JA...
I'm proud to be on the cutscene credits. I'm the very last one that appears. Must be there because i disarmed a whole lot of nukes in my days.
Peace.
your still play it? and thank you for your service
Is this even possible nowadays?
*salutes* Thank you Boss!!
It was on ps3, 'cause i have nuclear bombe on ps4 xD
Miller: "After I say 'triumphant,' release the birds. It'll be more dramatic."
Drebin 893: "Will doves work? Courtesy of myself."
I was gonna ask for where that was in the video, but I jumped to a random spot in it and found that part. 1:22
I can imagine Miller saying this XD
This actually has me choking up. Will we ever see peace? Here’s hoping
Well, like he said
"Will I see it in my lifetime? Probably not. Which means there's no time to waste."
We may not see it - but maybe someday someone will, and that's worth fighting for.
Venom Snake's last words during the credits got me :'(
sad thing people here just quit... or want to make more nukes... I loved how kojima is trying to show the world something new... imagine if every single player destroys all nukes... what mensage to the world that would be?
+Neto JON a pure one mate...........shame that we all have demons inside us
+NG Lazarus exactly a perfect representation of "Big Boss". Some wish to push the demon inside them out, some wish to give in to their inner demons.
Jon Atienza im already a demon
+NG Lazarus No, we all are already demons.
+Armored mecha but Paz I am already a fiddle.
The suffering of Big Boss, Miller, Paz, Chico, Eva, The Boss, and every character that died protecting the world for the sake of peace has been avenged in this cutscene.
They can finally rest now, for they have avenged their Death, and for their Phantom Pain has ended.
Truly the best ending MGS fans would have wanted
look where we are now
The final speech of Venom make me chills!!!
I just got this cutscene.. didnt even realize it was a hidden one. Pretty cool
I almost feel like Venom Snake is a better man than Big Boss. We don't know anything of his background prior to being the medic but his interpretation of The Boss's will is strikingly similar to Big Boss's revelation at the end of Metal Gear Solid 4. In other words, Venom Snake realized that peace is the answer a full three decades before Big Boss.
I love this ending. It just feels like a waste to not actually allow the player to achieve it....
Anyone notice the quality drop of the voice acting compared to the main story.
Sounds like they recorded this in a bathroom with all the echoes.
+NobleUnion: The Halo Player Not really.
I believe the nukes in Phantom Pain will be disarmed someday... when all player data is deleted.
It's so cool that there's a cutscene that *could* happen but, for obvious reasons, *will never* happen.
Lol
Lmao
literally no one will ever get this legit unless the entire planet cooperates, and that won't happen due to trolls
Idk why seeing this gives me such a hollow feeling
@2:17 "and each step forward makes it more solid" as in solid snake? forshadowing?
Sadly not everyone knows that there is a "reward" for not having nukes.
I unlocked nukes two days ago, but didn't build them yet.
Wasn't aware that Kojima-San went this far with it.
I won't dissapoint Kojima-San.
Wait, this was hidden?! Wow, I actually got to see this in my playthrough. Maybe it was because MGO wasn't released yet but damn, least I got to see it before this whole FOB shit-storm hit.
ye the problem is that to get this cutscene every player in regional servers must't have any nuclear weapon
Why the fuck would they even want to disarm all the nukes? It never happened in MGS history and wouldn't really be possible.
Hideo Kojima is a genius
It means don't be an asshole and make nukes but of course people still do it. It's amazing how video games can imitate real life in so many ways.
i just disarm my nuke to get achivement and dont want to develop any nuke how about you guy i really want to watch this sence not only this game but real life
So basically what happens in the game if everyone got rid of the nukes?
This cutscene would play for everyone
So basically - no players - at all - must have a Nuclear Weapon?
I just got this cutscene. I was just going to motherbase. I guess someone got rid of the last nuke on Steam.
wait a minute.. that 5 min mark of quoting about the nukes ..
Isnt that From the same quotes from Ending Of Metal Gear Solid. :D
MGS (1998)... Never mind. lol. same thing ahahah
it take one hundren nuke to distory the world, but me got 16,000. Great.
"Disarm every single FOB nuke"
Yep, never going to happen.
EDIT: I was wrong.
+Meta Critic If anything, it is more likely to get rid of every nuke irl than in this game
+Meta Critic Nope, people already have trainers that give them 4000+ nukes.
+Darkwolf how????
Tristan Hill I just said how...the trainers...if you don't know what a trainer is, it's basically a program that hacks the game. So you get things like infinite ammo, super speed, invincibility, etc.
+Darkwolf Not on consoles
PS 3 players achieved this on 2020 July 27. The seemingly impossible has been done.

It simulated Irl in a way, but somehow ps3 pulled it off
This is amazing. This completely changes my reception of what kind of game The Phantom Pain is, and what kind it adds to the Metal Gear Solid legacy. This is the true ending of the game after The Truth. The fact that the game just continues afterwards is fitting. You are embarking on "A time of endless war."
It is exactly Kojima's writing style, to utilize the element of online play like this and use meta to tell the story. Ahab can't chase the White Whale of Cipher forever (you run out of missions to do) so he turns to decommissioning nukes (you turn to online play). You do a few and then it becomes a point of purpose, simulating what Venom is going through. Then you get this. What really sells it is the instant message from Ocelot, that someone else has built a nuke, and you get the feeling it's going to be very, very hard to maintain. You couldn't even last the CUTSCENE. It's another, different White Whale. Even in the comments on youtube, people are saying this is impossible, but Kojima doesn't mean for it to be impossible: "Something that can only be done in videogames." He knew we would find this, it's the internet age. There is a possibility we will hold to our gamer completion urges and decommission our nukes to accomplish this true canon ending of The Phantom Pain, because it's what Venom does, all while carrying out Big Boss' will. And Kojima expects people to undo it, too, and build nukes to remove that peace. It's accounted for. Fear of that is part of the story and it's why Big Boss is keeping a stronghold: Metal Gear. (Which Big Boss would never give up. Note, Venom never lays his gun down either, and he's totally down for Operation Intrude. He is still a warlord, still Big Boss himself.)
This ending is 100% canon. Remember MGS world is an alternate version of ours. The elimination of nukes is not the elimination of war, and it cannot last but leaves significant impact. In Metal Gear 2's prologue: "The threat of nuclear war is now a thing of the past." Outer Heaven is a HUGE DEAL in 1. We had an entire game analyzing deterrence (Peacewalker) and stressing exactly how many nukes literally everybody has, so what's up? Apparently the answer is Venom spent his whole life roving around decommissioning nukes on the side of carrying out Big Boss' will. For Operation Intrude, carried out by both Big Bosses in tandem, Solid Snake was never supposed to find anything... or be used to frame the US as an accomplice?? (MG1 is kind of bare bones.) When Snake gets close, Big Boss starts yelling at him to go back, that the mission is over (hella MGS2). But Solid Snake is too good at his job, the whole thing backfires, Metal Gear is found and destroyed, and Venom is killed. Then despite the successful mission, the site is viciously bombed by NATO, killing everyone around it, leaving Big Boss to pull the survivors out of the wreckage and lose most his body in the process. With the loss of Venom, Big Boss says fuck it and goes nuclear and starts to invade countries. (Though, naturally, it's Metal Gear. Maybe it's declared terrifying invasion in the US because Zanzibar Land, suddenly appearing as the most powerful nation, started aiding revolutions that the US didn't approve of.) Kaz sides with Solid Snake ("That man is a monster!"), perhaps because Big Boss undoes what Venom hoped for as a part of their legacy. The opening of MG2 even mentions there are no nukes, and states Zanzibar Land would be the ONLY nuclear power, and its only sources for armament are disposal sites. Venom's disposal sites. "Zanzibar Land attacks nuclear weapons disposal sites around the world, seizing those weapons that are still intact, and becomes the world’s only nuclear power. It then begins to invade its neighbors at will. After renouncing nukes forever, the world is once again threatened by the specter of nuclear war."
In the end Nuclear threat is almost eradicated in the Metal Gear universe. But with the loss of Venom, Big Boss starts raiding countries. Eventually, Zero's system and PMCs in reign, and it ends up in total cyborg dystopia in Rising. But for a time in the 80s, the Metal Gear world had no nukes. Whether we want to try to play as Venom and earn canon fact that is up to us.
I'm still pretty sad about the thin story and lack of character development, but this really lets Venom Snake stand on his own as a character and a second Big Boss, with his own drive while still working in tandem with Big Boss and his dream of a nation of soldiers. If only Konami didn't stick most of it behind a paywall (and also I find it not very exciting sadly) and didn't let them finish ALL OF CHAPTER THREE, gee whiz that sure would be nice
+Boxy McBox You make me sick.

I'm just so pissed that the best ending in the game... had to be found on youtube....
+chiffmonkey or maybe it's not the ending, ending. i mean, people already talk about the ending of the game, and ground zeroes was datamined so kojima knew TPP would be too... maybe this ending is AN ending, an end to begin the finale. the whole datamining bit is kojima pointing us in the right direction.
but then the thought comes to mind, if datamining wasn't a thing, how else would kojima point us in the right direction? how else would we know to dismantle the nukes? there is a nuclear armament cutscene but no one knows how to get that yet, and people are saying something about it being on konami's end to give the go ahead... so maybe a certain amount of nukes have to be made first?

The "We have no tomorrow, but there's still hope for the future" is a quote from The Boss, not Big Boss. It's featured on the memorial stone along with "Here lies proof of the virtue of a mother as validated by her sons." This means that Big Boss is talking/thinking to The Boss during the credits, rather than the other Big Boss. It's probably up in the air just which Big Boss it is.
+SmoothLegend S P O I L E R S!
it could have been a line picked up by naked snake from The Boss then passed on to his soldiers from the original mother base since venom used to be under big boss' command.
+Feelin' good Sure, but the line about the virtue of a mother and the white flowers is way too on the nose. Also, I like how they used the word "sons" instead of "son" because both Snake and Ocelot are sons of The Boss. You could say the staff by extension are also sons, but that's stretching it.
Naked Snake (Jack) wasn't her real Son
Ocelot was her Legitimate Son and it's heavily inplied he knows his parental History, the reason he fought the Patriots wasn't out of Vengeance, Ocelot was his own man, he wanted
to prove that in every way much as Liquid wanted to surpass Big Boss. Ocelot gave Eli (Liquid) Information that Phycho Mantis Relayed telepathically to Skullface, Skullface did in fact extract his own Revenge on Zero by Creating the Parasite that Crippled his Mind.
Ocelot Took down the remaining Patriots using Solid Snake, Raiden, and Gray Fox.
FOXDIE!!!
+Masato Indou Both Big Boss and Ocelot are sons of The Boss. One being literally, the other other being spiritually. Boss never spent large portions of her life with Ocelot compared to her practically raising Snake while "living and dieing" together.
+SmoothLegend The final encounter in MGS4 is also a metaphor of the son of Big Boss vs the son of The Boss, while also being a rematch of Big Boss vs The Boss, Big Boss vs Ocelot, and Solid Snake vs Liquid. Lots of metaphorical encounters in the final boss fight.
7:53 "boss it looks like someone has developed nukes again"

+Radd Dudde At a certain point in the game you unlock Nukes (either disarming them or making them). At that point, you must then get 150k heroism to become a "Hero", which lets you invade FOBs with nukes. I don't know how to disarm it when you get to the FOB, but it should be simple enough.
+Polnareff's Long French Baguette You have to infiltrade the Commando plant FOB of a player who has a Nuke, the Nuke is on the last platform, then Fulton it and finish the mission. Now back in the chopper you have to go into the Resource section and go to Nuke, there is the option to disarm or build a Nuke, simply click disarm and your done.
+Polnareff's Long French Baguette I believe it's one of the resource tabs. there's [Develop Nuke] which takes 750k GMP, 75k fuel resources, and 50k minor metal. You get a trophy for developing one, but I'd recommend that being the last thing you ever do in the game.
you can disarm a nuke that you possess (whether one you built or one you stole from somebody else) with the other option in the same tab.
+Radd Dudde
Go into the FOB missions menu, and look for bases that have the radio-logical hazard sign next to them, they will be on the Command Platform. This can take a LONG time, and since the Nuclear Equipped Targets list is now in a semi-functional state, nukes are now disappearing quite quickly.
*_"All people share the desire for lasting peace. However, because of the continuing expansion of nuclear armaments, man must live in fear of this grave threat to world peace. Ironically, the scene can never be played- as banned accounts that had nukes still count as having them regardless, rendering it impossible to zero the nuke count. It certainly was possible given player efforts, but thwarted by poor mechanics.
Naked Snake wanted to create heaven via wars and nukes. Venom does the opposite and thus he was eliminated.
I only saw this once. I think a hacker FORCED peace upon the servers. Something admirable about it, they broke every rule and became the most reviled thing to gamers just to make it happen. Ain't that something?
Phantom Pain's true ending.
I hope we actually see this one day
even in it's inevitable failure it serves as a brilliant reflection of the world. i'd love to see Kojima's dream realized, all the players of this game make this happen. I could easily see that being a major story in the news if somehow humanity could unite on one thing like that. I think it'd serve as a really beautiful beacon of peace. i'll certainly be doing my best to rid this game world of nuclear weapons, trolls be damned :P
You did it..
This make the title of chapter 2 make much more sense. "Race" as in a nuclear arms race between FOBs.
It makes me wonder if the disarmament ending is as much of an "ending" as Chapter 1's, but perhaps that's just wishful thinking that the third chapter is hidden, rather than cut completely.
That said this would make Chapter 3's title, "Peace," make that much more sense. Maybe by December, when Kojima finally leaves the project for good, something'll give.
The race to disarm the nukes continues. Well, I was going to develop one but now...yeah I'll just not do it.
+thelegendgamer187 you can develop it then disarm it for 2 trophies!

I am guessing disarming all the nukes gives Big Boss the advantage in Zanzibar Land a couple of years later in a nuke free world lol
Coming here after Oppenheimer. Chris and Hideo have global concerns and they both made sure to put them on their creations.
The real world has about 12,000 nuclear warheads as of 2023.
Kaz brings up a good point peace can only be achieved when we forget war
When words gain the power of guns to the point where we fight with words resolve problems and are able to see our adversaries as people can the world and the human race move forward.
His words are more true now, more then ever in these troubled times love compassion understanding helping our fellow living(humans and animals) must be the foundations of the future.
I will agree, its still far away from us at this point. But, its not unachievable. We must create the foundation for peace, but we must forgone the weapons and spears we have made that destroys each other. Only then, will we start to see a semblance of peace. A thing so many of us strive for gor our generation and onwards.
God bless hackera cause if you dont know it was impossible to actually get this cutscene because there were nukes in the code so only way to get this was to have a hacker reset the nuke count to 0
Nobody will probably see this message,
But those cinematics are for me an embodiement of what humanity should aspire: peace,
And love, words overused but with so much sense, theyre is no point in those curelt wars, except greed, hate and bloodlust I wish everyone could live without those, because life would be better for everyone, even themself,
Nuclear disarmement is a step in a world thinking differently than with bloodbath
4:01 the whole panning view of the mother base platform is kinda ironic. The nuclear disarmament went through but also paved the way to need more conventional armament like tanks and walker gears
"They want me to build them a bomb! So I took their plutonium and gave them a shoddy bomb casing full of used pinball machine parts!" - Doc Brown
considering there are nuclear FOB's owned by people that will never play the game again. This ending is impossible. Best way to handle it really would be to give everyone a quota to fill for disarming nukes before getting the ending. This way you don't have to rely on other people to get it.. disarm.. 50.. or 100..200.. nukes.. and then you get the ending for your hard work. Hell alot more people would be making nukes to get the ending.
honestly i think it should be about 500 dismantled
You realize that you can just steal them right? Which is the whole point of this. Steal and disarm nukes from people who build them
So nobody after the nuke disarmament made nukes? I think I know what we are gonna do today Ferb!
The man who makes the impossible possible
looks like the last defense smaller countries had against the bigger ones are gone, total Nuclear Disarmament only benefits bigger nations as they already have a established military and this can see the return of large scaled wars of the past.
He meant the boss not big boss. It was clever by kojima trying to let us gain knowledge by interpreting it differently many times. I think it wasn't venom who said this though it was big boss himself. But indeed could have been venom who said this because he still had big boss's memories.
Ohh, that would make sense! I just thought it was venom to bb.
Edit: scratch that, I’m sure it is Venom to BB, because he talks about the demon inside him.
man this still hits hard, I remember the day all too well ;-;
Bruh after all that "boss it looks like someone has developed nukes again" 😂
If millions of PS3 players can achieve nuclear peace, then we in the real world can too.
It's real everyone, its possible, we just have to work towards it.
"millions" lmao
You relised this never happend, it was hacked
If you think about it, it makes so much sense this "ending".
You can't get it immediately, because everyone built a nuke.
When we disarmed one, two more were created...
But now, in 2022, the game is not played anymore like before...and this ending become a possible achievement, because we lost interest in building our nuclear weapons.
I feel like this is more of an experiment than a message. To see if people can come together and truly get rid of them

Good catch, I wonder if this is glitches or if it's the real BB using stealth camo? It makes me think, cuz whenever you leave Paz on the medical platform there seems to be something there that's invisible that runs away really quickly as you get closer.

Davidj1776 Okay, but it's not the real Big Boss if anyone. And I know MGS pretty well, too. But I doubt someone is there. Most likely, to me, a missing model.
And what makes this so much sadder is the US recently restarted the nuclear program and might build more nuclear weapons I just wish venoms snake dream come true
Even canonically this couldn't ever happen, because metal gear 1 and 2 happened afterwards
“Boss someone made more nukes.”
_Funniest shit I’ve ever seen_
Why is the most powerful cutscene in this game with the most Metal Gear feeling so secret? Amazing writing and acting once again,
Because it takes the world to rid the world of nukes. Both in the game and irl
I have today that cut scenen or hide. Apparently the are real names its the credits from Players on ps3. I dont lie! I can show you
I need the nuke to platinum the game though....
+Envy987001 People like you are part of the problem! (me included)
Build then disarm
Apocalypse Sniper
Just learned about that! Thanks though.
+Envy987001 Oh, for real?
Eh, it's not like I was planning to 100% anyway.
+Envy987001
I've disposed of a few nukes, but I never built one. (I stole three)
It's 2021 and still MGS series still has secrets
I just turned the game on after a year of playing and got the cut scene
Same
Tungsten rods, the solution to a world without nukes.
c&c red alert 3 vacuum imploder
Everybody should just disarm their nukes, it doesn't give you any gameplay advantage, in fact it's the opposite it makes you a target of true heroes.
It does have a gameplay advantage - only people with 150,000+ heroism points can attack the FOBs of players with nukes.
It take more time to complete the 2nd requirement, finish episode 31, to get the Hero title. I had almost 300k when I got it.
And I don't see a advantage in "no total noob can try to infiltrate my super high defense FOB".
***** That doesn't really have anything to do with "play their games differently", of course I have something against the playstyle of many players, for example killing staff when infiltrating a FOB. This is about the stupidity of those nuke owners and how they ruin this perfect ending for us. Nukes aren't adding any gameplay aspects anyway.
gamingdevil800 Yes, the world is stupid I know that... but in the game you don't have to have a Deterrent and like I said it's the opposite, you make yourself a target. Would I play FOBs I would ONLY invade nuke owners and try to steal it.

Then bring those 'true heroes' on. Because someone needs to be the logical, intelligent 'villain' to everyone else's hyper-idealistic self-proclaimed heroes.
Fucking Miller never has enough: " we need to get stronger". HOW MUCH MORE DUDE? Seriously, how many times has he said that during the game?
«We need to be strong» that kind of like: «Don't try to change something. Some things cannot be changed.» Because In every game, books, movie, etc.
Stay strong.
