Loved your sound with the Pink Gold one and not a fan of gold for myself. From what I heard it sounded a bit darker but with all good qualities of the silver (with the first plate). You always sound amazing and I wanted to say that because you're giving that pink gold ligature a try.
This is my favourite video along with the other one you try ligatures. I wish for more videos like this and I recommend you to try Harrison ligature at some point. I've heard good things about It. Recently got a Gigliotti which I'm very impressed!! Yes!! Finally, have It!! 😂
Since you have both Silver and Pink gold, can you make a video testing the silver with Pink gold's plate and the Pink gold with Silver's plate?

i tested out all 3 plates on my new black bass clarinet optimum today and found plate 3 gives crisp faster articulation but less bright tone. using legere reeds
Today got the silver Optimum. Great sound but not as focused as my non inverted gold Bonade, though sound projection cuts through and I get more flexibility in voicing notes, I can manage tuning to a greater degree than I can with the Bonade. I think I should compare It with a silver plated non inverted Bonade so to be a more fair comparison in performance.
Hi Cally. I have a pink gold ligature on my CSGIII & Yamaha mouthpiece and find the no. 2 plate easier to play with than the 1 or 3. Perhaps I just need to persevere! I'm still working on the 7 day pinky challenge which is a great exercise. Any chance you could do a piece on your adjustable barrel?

I used to play the Optimum silver (as far I remember with pl#1) for 2-3 years. Actually, soundwise, response etc. I was happy with it. The problem for me was that it was (in comparison to other ligatures) pretty heavy. In itself this wasn't an issue but - for what ever reason: ligatures love to fall on the ground once in a while...
This is no problem at all with other ligatures but the Optimum started to bend slightly after it happened a couple of times and thus slightly lost its quality.
That's why I switched to Silverstein.
If I ever drop mine I’ll put a Reed on and the ligature and tighten it as much as I can. It reshapes it!
In my opinion, hearing you I like silver and black almost equally, then goes the pink gold which I think is more subdued. The black gives some nice color to the sound, I find It interesting.
Vandoren should bring back the old two screw M/Os. They're better than current ones..
playing with a silver one on a BD4 mouthpiece. I like the sound but It give me too much brightness while playing forte. Do you suggest me buying the pink Gold to help the body of sound? Is It noticeable while playing?

From what I have heard, I think leather ligatures tend to work better with synthetic reeds
No one asked about this, but when buying the silver on Amazon, several reviewers commented on the impossibility of changing the plates … I just had mine delivered and can’t seem to get the installed plate off … it seems to be firmly attached … twisting the screw has no effect … what’s the secret …
it is a pain at first, but I just use my thumb to leverage against the screw and then use my other thumb and little extra strength to pop the plate off

Why Vandoren doesn't make a gold one for Bb clarinet? Gold would have more richness and body than the pink gold.
They all sounded like Cally Laughlin...
but i understand on some you needed more conscious effort to get the sound you wanted = )
