Taking Crab Pots and Fishing Set Nets Out With A Drone! AEE Condor Pro

See the new AEE Condor PRO (Mach 4) in action taking out a crab pot at Ruakaka, and a mullet set net out. Please note that MPI rules state that all drag nets must be taken out and retrieved by hand only, this is a set net so these rules don't apply. The new AEE Condor Pro easily lifts 3kg as you will see, and is fitted with the Newton 3 drone release clip. This is set to 3.5kg on this drone, meaning all that is required to deploy the line is to apply tension to the line while the drone is going forward.
The safest drone fishing technique is having a tension release, such as the Newton 3 release clip, as this allows the hooks to be released instantly from the drone if any tangles stop your line. This results in the hooks being deployed early, rather than the drone being catapulted into the water. This new clip still has tension release, meaning it has the ease of a push button release with the safety of a tension release. Even waterproof drones don't like crashing in to salt water.

What about using a float for pot with a handle on it. Could a hook then be flown to retrieve it by snagging it. It be the ultimate for the west coast cray pot missions where only need to go under 50m away

Yo KZ, you showed the controller has a map, for like 0.75 seconds only and then never mentioned it again! What does it use the map for and how??? Can you set a waypoint like on the Mobula drone and have it fly there and back by itself? That would be really sweet. So come on let us know please! Cheers

It’s not a feature we plan to run with in the production model, but will be available later. We are planning to have this drone as the cheapest 3kg plus lift, rain resistant drone on the market as most people don’t need the other features. Every other feature adds cost, so the basic drone will be exactly that, basic. Just the necessary bits to get you fishing
