I've heard this piece many times, but it always struck me as "white noise"; something I'd listen with half an ear while doing homework or reading. But when this young man started to play, I felt this was different. My ears pricked up. This is a beautiful performance. Nuanced, heartfelt, artistic. The blending of the accompanist was natural; TWO MUSICIANS AS ONE. TWO INSTRUMENTS AS ONE. This performance has lifted my heart, So of course, I'm crying my eyes out. I hope to hear this duo again soon.
Best control of tempo I've ever heard in this piece. He doesn't rush the 16th notes or the grace notes. Perfect dynamics as well. He is very young but has researched the what the composer was trying to convey and understands it so very well. It touches me to the core.

I can't tell you how many times I've turned to just listen to you play your violin it is so beautiful you are so young and so very blessed to be able to play the way you do. I think I like the music that's called meditation that is my favorite. Your music helps me to just get quiet and begin to feel calm. I am 60 years old I haven't played my flute and probably a year and a half but I had private lessons from the time that I was in 4th grade all the way through high School the teacher I had early on she taught me to love classical music and those are the pieces that I worked on but I just want you to know that I love your music and I just thank you for sharing it may God richly bless you and your family!

Not my favourite piece to listen to, possibly due to over exposure by other violinists, BUT, Christian once again breeds new life into this piece. This is a stunning performance with so much feeling and passion. Christian has total control of the violin and as I have said before about him, he makes this instrument sing for him. Absolutely moving! Whenever I listen this violine pieces, I recollect middle school days in 1984. At that time I was 14 years old boy. We had about 5 minutes of meditation time before class begin. This violin pieces was used as a background music. I miss those days in Misan middle school.
What a beautiful piece with so much peace and comfort. It felt like it gave me a long deep warm hug and assured me that everything is going to be alright, like it understood me, and l forgot my troubles for a moment.
