I just grabbed a V10 yesterday, and holy crap. I'd just finished vacuuming with my Bissell the day before, and I followed up with the V10. Let's just say I kept it on regular power, and it pulled up so much dirt you'd think I hadn't vacuumed in months. 😳🤯
I just bought the V10 Absolute. For me the extra cost and weight of the V11 outweighed the only slightly better performance. Plus I liked the floor-standing docking station for the V10 (not available for the V11). Very happy so far!
High, I bought the dyson 11 absolute pro from Dyson in Germany... I am absolute satisfied with it! The Dyson 11 absolute pro is expensive as well but it is the best vacuum I ever owned!
Thank you sir for the reviews and tests. I recently bought the V10 Animal Pro. Comes with soft brush head. Wish I could get the V11 for more battery life but way too much money. The v10 I got was open box. Saved $220
Please note. Run times are dependant on the type of carpet being vacuumed. Of course a thicker carpet will mean the machine needs to work harder, putting more strain on the battery and also, these are always great when new. I always say, test these when they are a year old.
Thank you for this review/comparison. Very well presented and I appreciated the graphs and tables. Based on your information, I should probably get the V10 with the soft roller. Again, great review!
Just purchased V11Torgue drive yesterday for $499, like the auto mode from hard surface to carpet , don’t have to change head and the display for battery charge. Hard decision as Costco had the V10 Absolute on sale for $289. Hopefully our V11 last. We have had two higher in Shark corded models that died prematurely and total lack of support from Shark. Had an old Dyson corded model for over 12 years that still works!
Hello. You must be a professor by profession. Your presentation was so informative and concise and a pleasure to watch. You have a very soothing voice which makes the video very easy to listen to. Dyson should hire you! Thank you for doing this very informative video. I can see that a lot of time and effort was put into it and I appreciate it greatly. I have a very old stick model. People in reviews seem to complain that Dyson has very poor customer service. I have found that if your Dyson is registered and under warranty, all you have to do is take it to a vacuum repair shop and they will take care of ordering the part for you free of charge. You don't have to deal with Dyson at all.
Very very well done! I rarely leave comments but you need one big bravo for all the info provided and the work you did to create a much better explanation about Dyson products. Thanks
Have watched a lot of your videos and they are excellent and very informative and helped me a lot in choosing a Dyson. I have noticed though despite the versions as time goes by have stronger suction power their pick up results in your tests do not get any better. For example the v7 has better pick up results than the v11 in your tests. In Britain you can get the v7 total clean (basically the absolute) for £199 direct from Dyson compared to £550 for the v11. Hence I went for the v7.
This is a change maker. I've now changed my mind and prefer V11. Because V10 only allows to clean at medium power for 20mins then I need to stop cleaning and wait for it to charge (3.5 hours to fully charge), whereas V11 allows 40 mins at same power level and on top of that click in battery allows you to switch to an extra battery. I am gonna go for V11 now, it is pricy but V10 price is not very cheap either.
I HAVE TWO DYSON VACUUM CLEANER AND I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH BOTH ,I CAN A CORDLESS AND A CANISTER ,I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY OTHER VACUUM CLEANER .. I GIVE THEM A 10
Really great informations. Thank you so much for your advice. Its not easy for me to make a decision between v10 and v11 but after I watched this video. It made me understand which one I need. Thanks again. You are absolutely brilliant .
Thank you for the informative review. IMHO, I believe the db test should always be done by the ear level on any vacuum since that is where it counts or for consistency result, 3 feet away form the air exhaust fan area. I replaced my V10 to V11 because I simply can't stand the high pitch noise produced by the V10 (I was able to hear it from your video as well) which actually gives me a headache when I was using it and the V11 has a much lower tone like the V8 which is acceptable. I look forward to see the V11 Oversize review as I heard it produce a quitter sound while product more suction when in use and that is worth the upgrade to me (got to protect those ears!).
The table at the end really helped me make my decision and save hundreds of dollars buying the V11 which is overkill for my needs. Very good video, however the sound levels were too low, had to turn PC to max volume. Thanks!
Excellent comparison video. For me, it confirmed I made the right choice of the V-10 Absolute. New home, mostly hardwoods, with two (shedding) great pyrenees. Can't wait to assemble, charge and get started. Anyone need lots of white hair (on a dark floor) for cushion stuffing?
There used to be a lady around my parts who would spin dog fur into yarn. My Red & White Border collie shed so much-----I made myself a hat from her fur.
This is a great video and the way you structure it is really nice. the breakdown is very nice and it gives you a really good representation of each model! Thank you sir! No issues with audio personally, glad you are not yelling into the mic like most tubers.
The v10 absolute is 300 bucks off right now on Amazon. Bought it and love it. The soft roller for hard wood is amazing. Great job on your comparison sir!
I am currently in the market for one of these specific models. Your video was insightful, easy to understand, and well timed. Good job! 👍🏽 I have a large house at @ 3,400 Sq ft. Thanks for your video. It is really helpful. I used to own a shark nv341, but it tangles my hair into the brush. I am curious about how Dyson performs with long hair. Will the hair tangle on the roller?
Hi. We've just run our V10 Absolute over quite a bit of both long and short hair. It does tangle but not as much as we've seen on a number of our other full size vacuums.
I have a cleaning company and would like to have replaceable battery for v11. Does it make sense to replace battery continuously or would this be unwise?

So here’s my ultimate question, would you buy a cordless wand (Ex V11 absolute) instead of a Dyson plug in unit. Otherwise stated, ONLY use the cordless for all vacuuming??
Since the V11 was developed Dyson decided to no longer develop new corded models. The V11’s performance is as good as the uprights. The variable suction when set to auto means you won’t need the hard floor head which is why there is no absolute model in the V11 range
Double the power, not double the loudness. It takes ten times the power to double the loudness. I'd have to double-check on that, but I think I'm right.
1 thing to also point out is that the direct drive cleaner head (the main head for the v8 and v10 motorhead) runs on 50W while the torque drive/high torque cleaner head (the main head on the v10 and 11 animal and v10 absolute and v11 torque drive) runs on 100W.

Hey. I was not aware of that.
@@VacuumAdvisor yeah so the theory that i can see see is that the higher output cleaner head will be able to handle more resistance and dig deeper into the carpet than the direct drive cleaner head
@@blackice7408 Can the V10 soft roller head be used on the v11 animal? Will there be any wattage issues?
@@dbelcher you have to get the fluffy head that goes with the v10 as it has a different wattage rating than the fluffy head thats with the v8 and v6
@@blackice7408 Which model would you reccomend for thorough vacuuming/pet hair?

Hey Vered. Glad you found the video useful.
Hi, would you please make a review about Phillips Speedpro Max Aqua 8000. Thank you🙏
@VacuumAdvisor What are your thoughts on the new Bissell ICONpet cordless stick vacuum? IT also comes with a soft roller brush as well. The price right now is $299 and am debating between that and the Dyson V10.
Since your clip I can’t decide now between tineco one s12 and the dyson v11...
I like the V10 Absolute but it is $544.00. Ouch that is pricey! Has it ever been cheaper?
It's $100 off on the dyson website now.
Thanks great review
