I was there. Man this is a blast from past. 17 yrs later to the day, Aug 28 is a Sat, Braves are playing Giants, and all the names, noise, and atmosphere are like yesterday. But man what a good close game, despite a bogus facemask call keeping USC going in 2nd Q. 3rd Q, 5:00 with VT outplaying USC and up 10-7, that 50 yrd blown interference call cost VT a score, 2 score lead, and tons of momentum and energy. Two completely momentum shifting calls on nothing, felt so biased, even rigged. Can't bear to watch after that!
Even if he didn't grab the mask of the lineman, he should've been flagged for roughing the passer after the whistle 52:35 Clearly jumps up and lands cleats first, stepping on Linert's knee.
I was there too. It was so amazing to be part of this fantastic time in USC history. And now that it's just been announced that were moving to the Big 10 everything is going to change once again .. Fight On.....
@@wejuggernautentertainmentl3156 In January, 2004, the USC Trojans beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl and split the National Championship with Louisiana State(LSU) because the Trojans were #1 on The Coaches Poll for 2003. At the end of 2004 the USC Trojans beat the shit out of Oklahoma, 55-19 in the Orange Bowl. What Championship did the Trojans win 2008? 2004 was the last year the USC Trojans won The National Championship!
@@Jiltedin2007 they didn’t win a championship this year because they were robbed of the opportunity, but they still have the top ring defense and finish 12-1. That team is immortalized. Greatest USC defense ever.
@@wejuggernautentertainmentl3156 Yeah, I know. After they beat the shit out of Ohio State at the Coliseum, the following week they went to Corvallis(With the Number 1 Ranking) and lost dropping them all the way down to Number 9. By the time the season was over they finished at Number 5. That one loss at Oregon State cost them! I also remember in 2006 when the Trojans were Number 2 in the BCS going into their game with UCLA. Well the Bruins took care of their National Championship hopes that year, 13-9.

VT played USC tough that USC team was really good, VT gave Auburn a good game in the Sugar Bowl that year too.
Second place is the first loser.
The last Week Zero game until 2014.

The Trojans just took over the second half. I miss the Peter Carroll era.
And now Pete is back at USC as part of teaching staff 🤔
Riley on his way out? 😂😂😂
Still waiting for Virginia Tech to come out to Los Angeles. 🤷🏻♂️ Also, the NCAA hated USC from the moment they Dominated Iowa in the Orange Bowl.
Football 2024
2004, The Trojans final year of glory.
No 2008. Trojans went 12-1 had the top ranked defense and won the Rose Bowl

The ncaa never wanted to risk the sec’s best against Pete’s Trojans. Florida would’ve gotten smashed in ‘08 by that Trojans squad 😂
2:54 aka for no apparent reason at all.
Auburn's National Championship Season in 2004-05.
They got snubbed
they got shutout by the same USC team the year before @@Know26874
USC beats them by three touchdowns😊
@@Know26874 they’re lucky they did. Because if they played SC, they would’ve gotten more embarrassed than Oklahoma did.
The first enter sandman
There go (619) again 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👍👍👍👍
Fight on 🗡️✌🏾
Also, USC went wire-to-wire #1 this season. That means they started #1 and finished #1. The only team to do it this century.
Co national champions crazy lol. Bcs was a joke robbed Miami in 2000 lsu and auburn in 2004.
no. The same USC team shut out the same Auburn the year before
@@firehousehostel75 Stupid argument. The 04 Auburn team was a totally different animal.
