Lot's of love to you guys! I'm pinning this, so everyone who has questions ask the real experts on this topic!
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. Will the Adobe plug in work with my old Nikon D5200 or not? Thanks in advance
@@botulf4908 Try some of our other Nikon profiles, the color science from each manufacturer is usually pretty consistent
@@FilmConvert Sounds good
FilmConvert thank you for the prompt reply...I will try it this weekend, fingers crossed it’ll be great!! Thank you again!
This is EXACTLY the tutorial and plug-in I’ve been looking for. I’m a photographer primarily, and I love experimenting with color film and Fujifilm stock color settings on my x100V. I’m obsessed with the film look, thank you for this!
I respect the fact that you want to stand behind the product (s). Need more of that. Thanks. East coast USA
Thank you! Yeah that's super important imo, else I'm just not true to myself tbh
I have this and love it. Thank you.
Just Awesome and super helpful !
I have been following your videos since past few days and they are so great.
Your channel is my latest addiction❤
Oh that makes me super happy! :) Welcome and if you have any questions let me know
Gotta love that film look!

Loved this video. I'll pick up this plugin soon. Your footage colors are amazing. Keep up the good work!
Awesome, thank you! It's a nice plug in for sure :) had so much fun with it!
Mate! I’m 15 seconds into the first video of yours I’ve ever watched and have already subscribed. Your accent it awesome! Could listen to you all day. 😁👍
That makes me happy man ☺️🤙🏻
As always useful stuff , thank you!

Great job bro
Very Filmlic! Thanks. Subscribed! I like your style.
I don’t have the budget to buy this plug in just yet but I DEFFO want to use this in upcoming UA-cam projects :) I love how warm and nostalgic the tones are
Totally enjoyed this video. Your accent is amazing!

Bro i just downloaded it and trying it now!! Wish me luck!!
I love the word "filmlick". It is awesome.
Next episode, let's learn Icelandic!
😂😂

Big thanks!
Thank you for a helpful tutorial!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Perfect ❤
thanks!
I need to do this.
do it!
Hi thx for the video - have you been able to compare FilmConvert with Cinema Grade?...doesn't seem to be many videos on that as I am still at the comparison stage - thx again
i like your accent Bro and your humor is pretty amusing lol
Do you need to have the specific camera to use the corresponding camera effect?
Would this work if I've already filmed my footage using film simulations on Fujifilm, or do I need to have filmed in Flog?
does the FilmConvert Nitrate plug-in work for the Sony AK 700 camcorder? or just a mirrorless camera?
I have 2 cameras, Sony and Canon, and use Premiere Pro, Not sure if I should order
Adobe Plugin
with Nitrate or CineMatch, can you help?
Yay!! You are awesome. Great information and tutorial. Have an awesome creative day.
mVm
You to man!! :)
Will it work on the free version of Resolve?
Extremely slow render times and needs to re render after clip adjustments. any advice?
How in the heck do I add the different camera packs to work in Da Vinci....Ive looked for an hour and cannot figure it out. Been using it for a year!
Not really on topic for this video, but: Would you mind doing a Tutorial how you create that Triple Picture Thumbnail with diagonal lines you use in most of your Portrait / Lens Videos? Last video with this kind of thumbnail was "SIGMA 56mm 1.4 x SONY A6400 | Outdoor Model Photography"
Im sure its some (quite) easy Photoshop stuff, but I cant figure it out and I love those Thumbnails!
It's actually super simple. I know that there are some fancy ways out there that are better then what I do buuuuuuut I still do it like this x)
Put all the photos in 3 different layers on top of each other.
Then decide how you want the cuts to be.
Use the eraser tool and erase away the top layers. By holding in *SHIFT* you can make straight lines.
That's basically how lol
Use film convert before color correction?
👏👏👏
is this really working on sony vegas?
👍there is no sony a6400 profile?😪
I love your accent...
Hi thank you for the video. Dont you use sony a6400? Cause i use and when i apply other camera profile like a7 or a6500 its not so good, and fillconvert dont have a6400.
The a6400 has the same sensor as the a6500, so that camera pack should work well
@@FilmConvert yes have the same sensor, but have another "color cience" and have other profiles like hlg etc.
Please make a profile for Sony a6400.
Great content bro. Super helpful. Do you have any advice on growing a UA-cam Channel?
Thanks! Yea I actually have a video on it on my channel :)
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. Ok great thanks, I’ll check it out 👍
3 years later, do you still use it?
still no pack for a6400 HLG3???:S
I own a a6400 and use hlg 2, it's there an option for hlg2?
Not yet! But they are constantly updating their camera profiles, you can make a request on their website. I already did since I use the a6400 too but I figure that the a6400 and a6300 have the same sensors and they have a6300 for standard, cine4, slog and more :)
@@thaticelandicguy whoaa that was quick, i am thinking of getting it when it comes out, i will use your code for sure :)
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. Maybe the same sensor, but A6400 and A6600 have different colors than the previous ones.
WHY DONT YALL SPEAK ICELANDIC!
looooooooooool that was gold right there. But for real I think I'm going to buy this.
Yea to few ppl speak icelandic 😆
Waiting for A7III HLG3 grading
Been playing around with HLG2 on the a6400 :) gotta say I love the profile
Thanks for your video but ur link doesnt work with 10%Off. Maybe u could add Promotion Code for 10% off?
Hi Marshall, we just tested out the link and the promo code and it's working for us - try entering the code manually on the checkout page
It should work :) but you can also write the promo code when checking out: *THATICELANDICGUY*
awesome tutorial and you're a bit funny
Jag brukar följa dig på din youtube bor också i Stockholm
first rule: don't use all the options!!!!
why messing with color wheels and then again with the curves, after you adjusted the exposure
that's very wrong
and it's a very common mistake, because all those NLE's offers multiple ways to do the same thing, and the young and inexperienced editor will use all the option
First comment! :D
EPIC!! :)
Hey bro i loves your videos, I want to turn on post notifications for you but it says your content is made for kids so i can’t
Wtf? Hahaha i didnt know that 😂 lemme check
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. yup my dude, still watching your videos LOL
Dehancer is better!
At 4x the cost.
The colors look quite nice just that they don't have anything to do with the actual film stock that it's supposed to be... Also that grain just looks like digital noise to me
Colors are top imo and I agree with you on that. About the film stock i can't comment to much on that I dont have a whole lot of experience with real film. However a good friend of mine is a film lover and shoots a whole bunch on film and he sometimes uses filmconvert for his music projects because he likes the look alot.
About the grain, there I do not agree with you. Maybe when I crankt it up to the max it looked a little wierd but it was just to show that you could manipulate different parts of the tone spectrum. You wouldn't crank it up that high. When used correctly it's one of the best film grains I've come across for digital footage.
However if you know any better I'dd love to hear. I love learning and finding new things ❤.
@@thaticelandicguy okay to understand my criticism completely you need to know that im a hardcore film lover and photographer... The digital camera only comes out for paid shoots and only if a client requests it or won't pay for the film :) that alone tells that I'm pretty serious about film haha...
Also the colors look great yes and there is no shame in them looking different to what their real counterpart looks like, but what you were showing in the video "prov 100" is actually supposed to be Provia 100F which is a filmstock with very rich, true to life but also very saturated colors and next to no visible grain... That is not really what the preset looks like :) looks nice for sure but I don't necessarily see the relation between name and actual look.
And for the grain part: the curves help a lot with the look, but grain works exactly opposite to what can be emulated digitally: digital grain really shows in the shadows, while real grain does the opposite and is more visible in the highlights... And while it's better than some other plugins or presets you see online, it can't completely get rid of this "error" as I would call it.
But there you have it: the opinion of a die hard film shooter haha. Normal persons are probably gonna say it looks fine ;)
@@rhett1734 Haha I totally understand! And yes this is a film emulator, it will never be the real thing.
But for what it's worth I due like them a lot - and I guess a guy like you who know so much and is very used to the real film could get the look pretty close to the real thing. I used the FJ PROV 100 on my last video as well that was a little short video. Loved the colors, there I actually bumped up the saturation quite a bit :)
Anyways I would love to start to do more film, I absolutely love the look - one day for sure!
2:14 SECONDS INTO THE VIDEO AND YOU HAVENT EVEN SHOW HOW THE PLUGIN WORKS...U PEOPLE ON UTUBE TALK 2 DAM MUCH,....
SIR WHY YOU SO MAD?!?!?!?!
This is EXACTLY the tutorial and plug-in I’ve been looking for. I’m a photographer primarily, and I love experimenting with color film and Fujifilm stock color settings on my x100V. I’m obsessed with the film look, thank you for this!
Would Sony a6300 work for Sony a6400 since they don't have that filter yet
The a6400 has the same sensor as the a6500, so you should get good results with that one
