Nothing better than a wild Lyra running free, there is something so vibrant about the oscillators. Love the color palette, and thank you so much for the s/o, I am glad I could provide some inspiration 🧡
i wasnt sure if i wanted to look at a demo when i saw the prices of this machines, ended up here and you motivated me with this incredible jam, showing what it really is capable of. its perfect for someone who is a video editor and looking for ambiental music, buy this and do your own. thanks a lot
Thanks for this. Love hearing unexpected harmonics wash in and out. Your patience really lets the Lyra participate in the conversation. Just received the diy kit from soma to build one of these. So excited!
This is incredible. I had a Lyra-8 for a while, and finally have enough money to get one again; I think this video has pushed me over the edge to buy one soon :)
Brilliant jam. I really enjoyed that. The more I listen to Lyra 8 the more I accept the sounds and am starting to really love them. I pick mine up in three weeks time. When you had that lfo going it sounded like a space ship landing. Really powerful. Did you use any effects or was that dry Lyra8 single unattached?
This is a good video of the Lyra 8. Most vids the performer is "trying to play" the Lyra. That doesn't work. This unit is an organic entity. Interact with it gently/respectfully and you are rewarded.
This is amazing. You definitely nail the Lyra sound and treat every knob and switch like an instrument. Realize this was a while ago, but curious if you remember what tuning you used
amazing video! really inspiring! You have same Lyra-8 than me! Right now is a friend of mine who is enjoying it since I bought it while I was out.. I hope he give it back to me ! :D
I did, crazily enough. I’m trying to focus on my keyboard skills and the Lyra kept distracting me. It’s so flowy and easy to use, I’d be meaning to practice piano and end up spacing out in a crumbling sonic utopia for an hour instead. Vlad Kreimer is a genius, I’ll probably buy another someday when I chill out and stop being so hardline about practicing, but that’s at least a couple years away
It should be noted the noise is 95% coming from the delay! At full wet and especially long time settings, it gets super noisy, and I also like it for that. It is a very lively noise, with some nostalgic feeling, but turning the delay off will output a super clean sound :)
I came for a demo and get the best ambient EP heard in a while. Amazing
I came for the Lyra 8 demos/jam, and then kept coming back because the music is so good. Well done.

Thanks! I loved the colors in your most recent video too

Amazing! This is definitely been moved up on the wishlist. Thank you for sharing!
this was such a nice 20 minutes. ty so much. keep on living, keep in making art, keep on exploring.

How’s the build going?
This is the video that made me do it. Ordered one. Really beautiful what you did
this is incredible, im legit in awe

More of this please! 🤞🏼
stunning. reminds me why this is way beyond a mere synth.
thats beautiful man! great music!!
veeeeery nice demonstration pal. well done. (your 200 quid worth of reverb sounds surprisingly nice too)
Beautiful! Thank you for creating and sharing this.
I often use this machine in my work, from heavy drones to bittersweet underlays in ambient tracks, great instrument!
Is it really unpredictable as people say?
Fantastic showcase.
to me, the greatest synth in the universe!
Amazing, I copied your tuning and had a great time with the lyra:)
Fantastic sounds and jam, cheers
Beautiful! ❤
Soma just released some new gizmo with touch sensitive control, but idk. This tune here on the Lyra 8 is
So nice ❤
Don't suppose you could put this jam for download no? :) freaking amazing
Brilliant jam.
I really enjoyed that.

Did you use any effects or was that dry Lyra8 single unattached?
Thanks! I added a tiny bit of reverb for ambience, but that’s it. It’s a glorious instrument and an incredible invention, you’re going to love it

You are really good at this 👍👍
Any outside processing going on?
Just some reverb from a TipTop ZVERB module. I didn’t really add enough to be noticeable, just enough to put it in stereo
@@Sound_ology that's awesome
So good

I can’t remember what tuning it was! Haha
Freshhhhhhhhhhhhh!
love the whole sequence from 8:00 onwards
amazing video! really inspiring! You have same Lyra-8 than me! Right now is a friend of mine who is enjoying it since I bought it while I was out.. I hope he give it back to me ! :D
Fantastic!
Nice.
The 10 min mark and 13 min are what im talkin bout...so good
Ok.
Hi i have a question. Whats your setup for Video recording? Thanks :)
damn it. I didn't want to want a new synth
what ad convertor do u use Bro, some audio interface maybe?
It’s an old Focusrite Clarett 8PreX
...nice
This sounds really cool. Are there any additional effects added or is this just pure Lyra? And that green looks bloody good.
Thanks! I ran it through the TipTop ZVERB eurorack reverb. It adds a little ambience :)
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
SO you sold the Lyra?

Great performance w the Lyra ! I wished the L8 wasn’t that noisy… background white noise bleed
Thanks! I love the noise, it reminds me of rain

I wish it was nosier. Glorious.
Try pushing it through a ‘heavy metal’ style distortion pedal for more noise - grinddrone 😂
try playing the oscillators on very very low volume
