    I made a mistake in this video🙈 After sterilizing your bottles, place them on a clean dish towel or paper towel *INSTEAD* of the drying rack like I mentioned in the video - especially if baby is under 2 months old, premature, or immunocompromised🩷 Here is the CDC’s most updated bottle cleaning/sterilization info: www.cdc.gov/hygiene/faq/index.html

    I am a product design student, currently designing a 3 in 1 baby bottle washer. sterilizer and dryer, all of these in a single product. Would you as a parent buy that product? and lessen your hassle of washing, sterilizing, and drying separately, significantly reducing the time consumption and mess associated with washing and drying baby products and the kitchen counter space needs.

      @StephanieHajal  Рік тому

      Hey, Rahul! That sounds very interesting! Hand washing bottles is time consuming, so a machine could have been very helpful to save time. As a mom, I would definitely need something small/slim that doesn’t take up much counter space though because they get cluttered fast especially around mealtimes. Keep me posted & wishing you the best with your design✨😊

    Hi there! Thanks for the video! I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and want to sterilize the bottles and pacifier but not sure how “long” would they last sterilized? And also, can I sterilize and store the pacis in a ziplock bag?

    • @StephanieHajal
      @StephanieHajal  Рік тому

      Hey, mama😊 Congrats & great question!
      I’m not too certain on the answer though. Google says sterilization will last for 24 hours. Personally, I sterilized our bottles a couple weeks before baby arrived! I also kept baby bottles/pump parts/pacis in a ziploc bag leading up to her arrival as well! I would recommend to ask your pediatrician or call the CDC for more information on this topic. Congrats again on your baby🩷👶

    Hey!
    I dont knownif I misheard (I was super tired when I watched this video last night!) However,I heard you say you sterilise your bottle only twice a week!? I've only ever known to sterilise my bottles after every single wash, everyday!?

      Hey! Not a problem😊 Yes, I filmed this video when baby girl was 4 months old & we were sanitizing our bottles twice a week. I want to reference these sources for more information:
      1) How to Clean, Sanitize, and Store Infant Feeding Items (CDC) bit.ly/3ch3HxZ

Every family will have a different preference, so the most important thing is to do what is comfortable for you💕 Thank you for the feedback. I'm learning soo much as a first time mom. Can you sterilize multiple batches of bottles using the same pot of boiling water or do you have to bottle a new pot of water for each different batch?

    • @StephanieHajal
      @StephanieHajal  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, A P! That's a very good question. I would think you could sterilize multiple batches with the same boiling water especially if you had just clean them with hot soapy, water. I know I used the same pot of boiling water for multiple baby items (bottles, pacifiers, pump parts) while I was preparing for baby. Also, I have always learned that boiling point 100 °C/212 °F will kill any remaining bacteria or viruses which makes boiling an effective sterilization method! If in doubt, trust your gut and change the water as you see fit. Hope that helps🤍😊

  • @paradisegirl9370
    @paradisegirl9370 Рік тому +4

    The bottles are no longer sterile AFTER you put them back on the rack to dry. Once exposed like that dust particles. Splash from the sink and bacteria which was in the rack before sterilsation has been transferred back to the bottle thus making sterilsation redundant.

    Do we need to soap wash the botel before microwave sterilisation

    • @StephanieHajal
      @StephanieHajal  2 роки тому

      Hi, Anuj! Yes, the CDC recommends to clean baby bottles with soap and water before sterilizing. Sterilization is an extra step that is helpful for babies who are less than 3 months old, born prematurely, or have a weakened immune system due to illness. I always like referring to this CDC article for all my baby cleaning needs: bit.ly/3ch3HxZ Hope this helps!😊💗

      For bigger bottles you can boil your bottles in appropriate size pans in order to fit larger bottles. Boiling, helps kill bacteria effectively and prevent tummy aches. For a visual on this I also created a video on how to do this. Hope you find it helpful ua-cam.com/video/r_hwFOgnCZg/v-deo.html
